Zane was behind the door and from there he watched Milo drenched in water, and her right leg dripping from blood on the red carpet.
She wasn't moving but had meager movements.
He moved towards her but before he could come out of hiding, someone else entered the Cathedral.
And as that person entered, the gentleness Zane remembered after seeing Milo vanished.
