Moon God Empire — Moonlight Sanctum
A tall, broad-faced man with snow-white hair stood rigidly before a square mirror. His expression was twisted with fury, as though the fire raging within him might erupt at any moment.
"Council Chairman, the Waning Moon Priest has arrived."
At that moment, a member of the Moonlight Council stepped into the sanctum and reported to the man.
"Let him in!"
The chairman's voice was low and hoarse, but the anger within it surged instantly to the surface.
"Yes, sir!"
The council member immediately escorted the severely wounded Waning Moon Priest inside, supporting his frail body as they brought him before the chairman.
The chairman cast a cold glance at the priest—his entire body wrapped in specially crafted blue magical bandages—and spoke in an icy tone:
"Janet is dead because of you."
"This… this was an accident! I had no idea the New Moon Priest would summon the projection of the Golden Peony Valkyrie!" the Waning Moon Priest stammered, his voice trembling.
"The Golden Peony Valkyrie?"
At the mention of that name, a flicker of surprise passed across the chairman's otherwise stern face.
The Valkyries had long since departed from the magical continent thousands of years ago. Their sudden reappearance now was… unexpected.
But—
The chairman's eyes flared with rage. In a single step, he closed the distance, his massive hand shooting out to clamp around the Waning Moon Priest's throat, lifting him effortlessly into the air.
"How many times have I told you?! I don't care what schemes you're plotting—but Janet was never to be involved!"
"And yet you, you piece of trash, broke our agreement and let her die on Moonlight Peak—"
"You deserve death!"
His roar crashed like thunder in the priest's ears, shaking him to his core. The Waning Moon Priest's face turned deathly pale, blood seeping from his gums.
"Y-you… let go of me! You can't kill me! If you do, the Full Moon and Half Moon won't let you off!" the priest choked out, trying desperately to gather his magic and break free.
But his injuries were far from healed, his strength reduced to a fraction of what it once was.
And even at his peak, he was no match for the chairman.
"Hmph!"
With a violent motion, the chairman flung him to the ground.
Though his fury burned uncontrollably, the existence of the Full Moon and Half Moon restrained him—he could not act recklessly.
"Waning Moon… once I deal with the New Moon, I'll come back and deal with you, you worthless waste. Hmph!"
With a cold snort, his body dissolved into a streak of moonlight and vanished without a trace.
Left behind, the Waning Moon Priest slowly pushed himself up, teeth grinding in fury.
But after a few seconds, a cold sneer curled across his lips.
"Foolish creature… your woman Janet chose to embrace the Master. Her death was an act of loyalty to Him."
"And you—and Half Moon—wavering as you are… will only become nourishment for the Master at the brink of victory."
After muttering to himself, his expression darkened once more.
Still… one thing refused to make sense.
How had the New Moon Priest managed to invoke the Golden Peony Valkyrie?
The Moon God Empire and the Star Kingdom had little to no connection anymore.
At least… none for the past thousand years, aside from minor trade.
…
Puff Fantasy Guild
Kurose Akira was currently organizing the guild's resources.
The guild's funds had steadily accumulated, now reaching 400 gold. But aside from that, he realized he hadn't upgraded his members' equipment in quite some time.
"When I get the chance, I should upgrade everyone's gear…" he murmured to himself before closing the player interface.
He glanced at the time.
8:00 PM.
There were still eight hours left before his agreed time with Ides.
"Time to log off, get some sleep, and prepare for the wedding!"
Just as he was about to exit the game and enjoy a good rest before the big day—
Rose petals suddenly began to fall, swirling around him.
Akira immediately paused.
He knew what this meant.
Ides had come again—probably to remind him, once more, not to be late for the wedding.
Lifting his gaze, he looked toward the descending figure.
"Ides, you don't need to—"
He started to speak, intending to tell her he hadn't forgotten and that there was no need to remind him three days in a row.
But when he saw the woman descending from above—
He froze.
"…Elum?"
His brows furrowed.
Of all people, he hadn't expected her to appear in his guild.
What was this little one doing here?
"G-Guild Master Kurose!"
After landing, Elum's bright, watery eyes locked onto him, as if she had something important to say.
"What is it, Elum?" Akira asked.
A succubus coming to him out of the blue like this—there had to be a reason.
…Wait.
Not just a succubus.
She was the Demon Lord of Lust.
He couldn't forget that.
"I… I…" Elum hesitated, her tone and posture shy and uncertain, as if she couldn't decide whether to speak.
"Just say it," Akira urged gently.
"Well… I heard from Lady Ides that tomorrow… you'll be holding a wedding in the Star Kingdom…" Elum's eyes shimmered, but her gaze began to drift away. Her small hands nervously clutched the hem of her clothes.
"Yeah, that's right," Akira nodded.
But his focus had already started to slip.
Watching Elum's soft, adorable expression…
He suddenly had the overwhelming urge to pull her into his arms and spoil her rotten.
"I… I want…" she stammered, voice trembling, "I want your permission… to plant the Seed of Lust inside your body!"
"…Huh?"
Akira blinked.
A Seed of Lust?
Why did she want to plant something like that inside him?
"And… what exactly is that?"
"Th-this!" Elum quickly produced a beating, heart-shaped object.
It pulsed with life, exuding a faint, intoxicating fragrance.
"That's the Seed of Lust?"
Akira examined it carefully, confusion written all over his face.
The thing was about three fingers wide.
…And how exactly was that supposed to go inside him?
"Hurry! Close your eyes! I'm going to put it into your body!" Elum urged.
"…Wait—what?"
Akira froze.
Put it in?
Where exactly?
"C-can't I?" Elum asked pitifully, her eyes shimmering with vulnerability.
That expression—
It shattered his resolve instantly.
With a soft sigh, he closed his eyes.
But just before she began, he couldn't help but ask:
"…Where?"
"Of course—"
Elum tiptoed closer, lifting the Seed of Lust toward him.
But just as she was about to bring it to his lips, she hesitated.
That felt… a bit impolite.
So instead—
She gently held the seed between her soft lips, her wings fluttering as she rose to meet him at eye level—
And kissed him.
"!?"
Akira immediately felt it.
Elum, like Ivsha, was a succubus.
Which meant…
Her tongue was long.
Very long.
The process went smoothly—but still—
His stomach churned slightly.
Thankfully, her soft, sweet lips offered comfort, and her pink, heart-shaped tail wrapped around his wrist, flooding him with a strange, sensual energy.
"Mmm~"
Once the Seed of Lust had been delivered into his body, Elum pulled back, wiping a thin strand of saliva from the corner of her lips.
A delighted smile bloomed across her face.
"All done~ Now that you have the Seed of Lust, Guild Master Kurose… you belong to me~"
With that, she hugged him tightly, rubbing her cheek against him like an affectionate kitten.
"Elum… what's the purpose of this?" Akira asked, still confused.
"Because…" she blinked, answering innocently, "Lady Ides told me that sooner or later, I'd become your dog… so I decided to act in advance…"
"…That's a very Ides way of putting it."
Akira sighed, rubbing his temples.
Then he reached out, gently patting Elum's head.
"Don't listen to Ides so much in the future. Listen to me instead, okay?"
"Mhm! Mhm!" Elum nodded vigorously, her tail wagging happily—completely unlike the fearsome Demon Lord of Lust she once was.
Just as Akira's attention was fully on her—
A familiar, seductive voice drifted from behind him.
"Elum… who allowed you to come here?"
Ides had appeared silently, her gaze fixed on Elum.
"Lady Ides!"
Elum stiffened instantly, her heart-shaped tail shooting straight up in alarm.
Akira couldn't help but find it strange.
For someone who had once been a Demon Lord… Elum seemed unusually afraid of Ides.
After giving Elum a brief lecture, Ides turned to Akira.
Her tone turned cool.
"Are you ready, our groom?"
"Always ready!" Akira replied with a grin.
"Come with me."
"…Wait, isn't it only—"
He glanced at the time.
8:30 PM.
The wedding was tomorrow.
Why was she taking him now?
She wasn't even the bride—why was she in such a hurry?
But Ides had no intention of explaining.
With a wave of space magic, she transported Akira and Elum away.
When Akira opened his eyes again, he was already inside the Rose Manor.
Ahead of him, Mary stood with ten maids, clearly waiting.
But Akira quickly noticed—
All ten of them were succubi.
"Lady Ides~"
"Take him to change."
"Yes~"
"Lord Kurose, this way please~"
Mary stepped forward, guiding him deeper inside.
Though he had no idea what exactly was going on, the enthusiasm of the succubi left him no room to resist. He was practically ushered into the room.
"Lady Ides!"
Once he was gone, Elum hurriedly asked, "Can I attend the wedding tomorrow? I want to—"
"No."
Ides shook her head.
"You cannot appear before humans yet. Your power would draw too much attention."
"I…"
Tears welled up in Elum's eyes, her gaze trembling.
Seeing this, Ides crouched down, gently stroking her hair.
"But I promise you—one day, someone will accept you, just as I have. They will understand that you are not sinful desire… but a part of the soul itself."
Her words rekindled hope in Elum's heart.
"Mhm! I understand! Thank you, Lady Ides!"
"Good. Now go do your own thing."
"Okay!"
With that, Elum skipped off happily.
"This child…"
Ides smiled faintly—but the expression vanished just as quickly.
Her gaze turned cold as she looked toward the closed door.
Even through it, she could clearly perceive everything inside—
Including Akira's… rather lively interactions with the succubi.
Half an hour later, the door opened.
Akira stepped out, completely transformed.
His simple casual outfit had been replaced with an exquisite, luxurious ensemble.
It resembled a suit—but not quite.
The attire was loose-fitting, adorned with numerous precious gemstones. A quick scan with his player interface revealed them to be Epic-grade Star Stones.
Combined together, they elevated the wedding attire to Legendary quality.
Still…
Akira didn't like it much.
Too flashy. Too impractical.
If those Star Stones were embedded into armor instead, it would easily create Mythical-grade equipment.
But his opinion didn't matter.
"Mm~ Not bad," Ides nodded in satisfaction.
"So I'm wearing this tomorrow?" Akira asked.
"Yes."
She nodded slightly, then continued:
"Tomorrow, nobles from across the Star Kingdom will attend. Your identity will be… the Fourth Prince."
"…Do I have to use someone else's identity?" Akira frowned. "And isn't the Fourth Prince still alive?"
Also—
Wasn't the Fourth Prince and Princess Vivian siblings?
That felt… extremely questionable.
"The Fourth Prince is already dead," Ides replied casually. "His dear older brother had him captured overseas and offered him as a sacrifice to vampires."
"Very few people know this."
"As for your identity—someone with merely Star bloodline is too vague. It's best if you appear as a noble of the Star Kingdom."
She paused, thinking.
Then added:
"I have a few alternatives for you."
"Let's hear them."
Ides glanced at him and said calmly:
"In that case… you will attend the wedding as the younger brother of the Rose Duchess."
"To outsiders, it will appear as a political marriage."
