Chapter 277 - Chapter 287: You Wouldn't Want Madam Maxime to Know All This, Would You?

Charlie led Harry and Hermione straight to Hagrid's Hut.

On the way, Harry couldn't help but ask.

"Didn't you say it was special training? Why are we going to see Hagrid?"

"Know yourself, know your enemy, and you will never be defeated," Charlie said without looking back.

"How can we train if we don't even know what the first task is?"

"Hagrid seemed to know the first task yesterday; we have to get it out of him today."

Although it was against the rules to know the content of the task in advance, even Hermione didn't feel there was anything wrong with it this time.

Harry didn't even know how he had been entered into the tournament; did he still need to follow the rules?

The three of them quickly arrived at Hagrid's Hut.

Fang started barking wildly as soon as he heard them coming, and Hagrid's gruff scolding could be heard from inside.

The door opened. Hagrid was taken aback when he saw the three of them, but then a smile appeared on his face.

"Charlie, congratulations on becoming a champion!"

Then, Hagrid's smile faded slightly, and his eyes were filled with worry as he looked at Harry.

"And Harry, you're a champion too. I really don't know who could have put your name in."

Harry was delighted.

"You believe I didn't do it?"

"Of course, we all believe you."

Harry nodded, a warm feeling rising in his heart.

"Someone must be up to no good."

Hagrid said indignantly while inviting the three of them into the Hut to sit down.

"Sneaking your name into the goblet of fire is just despicable!"

Seeing that the timing was right, Charlie spoke up directly.

"Hagrid, you have to help Harry."

"Me?" Hagrid was stunned for a moment. "What can I do to help?"

"Harry is in a very dangerous situation right now," Charlie said, lowering his voice. "If he doesn't prepare, he could get hurt, or even lose his life."

Hagrid's expression changed.

"That won't happen! With Dumbledore here, the competition will be very safe!"

"No matter how powerful Dumbledore is, he can't keep an eye on all the champions at all times," Charlie said, staring into Hagrid's eyes.

"You must tell us what the first task is. That's the only way Harry can be prepared."

Hagrid subconsciously took a step back.

"This... actually, I'm not really sure myself. I just received some notices."

"Hagrid, tell us about those notices, and we'll figure it out," Charlie urged.

Hagrid shook his head, his voice weak.

"But Dumbledore said this information couldn't be told to anyone else. Can you let me think about it some more?"

Charlie was certainly not willing to do that. The longer Hagrid thought, the less time Harry had to train.

Seeing that Hagrid was still unwilling to speak, Charlie sighed and said softly.

"Hagrid, you really like Madam Maxime, don't you?"

Hagrid's face turned bright red instantly, and his whole body stiffened.

"Don't talk nonsense," he stammered in denial. "I—I just think Madam Maxime is a very good person!"

Harry and Hermione exchanged glances, both noticing Hagrid's guilty conscience.

Charlie said slowly.

"Is that so? Last night in the Great Hall, your eyes never left her."

"That was... that was..." Hagrid babbled incoherently.

Charlie leaned forward a step and lowered his voice.

"Madam Maxime is as tall as you; you look like a perfect match."

Hagrid's face turned even redder, and he waved his hands in a panic.

"Don't, don't say that..."

"She is so noble and elegant," Charlie continued. "She must love cleanliness, right?"

"Yes, yes." Hagrid nodded like a chicken pecking at rice.

"Madam Maxime is very particular. She always smells fragrant, and her clothes are always neat..."

At this point, Hagrid suddenly realized something was wrong and shut his mouth.

Charlie stood up and looked at Hagrid.

"If you don't tell me what the first task is, I'll go tell Madam Maxime that you have smelly feet, that you don't wash your feet for three days, and don't shower for ten days. That you spend all day dealing with magical creatures and cleaning up their excrement."

Hagrid's face turned pale instantly.

"Charlie, you can't do this. This is slander."

"That's right, it is slander. What are you going to do about it?"

"Madam Maxime won't believe it. I'll just explain it to her clearly."

Charlie shook his head with a smile.

"Hagrid, oh Hagrid, you are too naive."

"Even if you explain that you love cleanliness, Madam Maxime will already have the impression that you deal with the excrement of magical creatures."

"As elegant as she is, how could she accept a partner who does such things?"

Harry and Hermione looked at Charlie strangely from the side.

The way Charlie was acting, it was almost like a villain.

"You wouldn't want Madam Maxime to think you're slovenly, would you?" Charlie turned and walked towards the door.

Hagrid panicked. He jumped up, trying to stop Charlie.

"Where are you going?"

"To find Madam Maxime," Charlie said, pushing open the door. "She should be on her carriage right now."

"Wait!"

Charlie stopped, without looking back.

Hagrid stood there, his expression struggling.

Finally, he sighed heavily, his whole body deflating like a punctured balloon.

"Dragon," Hagrid said in a muffled voice. "The first task has to do with a Dragon."

"[The foolish monarch's methods are despicable and shameless, which makes the servant admire him greatly. tyrant points + 10]"

Harry gasped.

"What?" Hermione's voice rose a few octaves. "Has the Ministry of Magic gone mad? Letting students face a Dragon?"

Hagrid hung his head, looking at Charlie with great resentment.

"Are you satisfied now?"

"How exactly is the competition going to work?" Charlie sat back down in the room.

Hagrid shook his head.

"I don't know the specifics of how it will be judged."

"Dumbledore just notified me to find an open space in the Forbidden Forest, saying that Dragons would be brought over this semester to be kept at Hogwarts."

Harry's face turned even uglier.

"Dragons? Are there really Dragons?"

"That's right," Hagrid scratched his head. "I suspect the Dragons have something to do with the Triwizard Tournament, but they haven't arrived yet."

Charlie stood up.

"Got it. Thank you, Hagrid."

"Wait." Hagrid chased him to the door, rubbing his hands together uneasily.

"You won't go and say nonsense to Madam Maxime, will you?"

"Rest assured," Charlie opened the door.

Hagrid let out a sigh of relief, a smile appearing on his face.

"At least not for now," Charlie added.

"Hagrid:?"

"Why is there a time limit?"
