Beyond all things, the First Firmament discovered an anomaly. The effect of his tearing Eternity had worsened, as if an additional resistance had appeared.
The First Firmament looked down and saw countless threads spreading within Eternity's body, like a normal person stitching a wound, these threads interlaced, stitching up the cracks on Eternity's body.
The First Firmament understood, someone was helping Eternity. And he could only fight alone, allied with foolish strivers.
In that instant, the First Firmament for the first time doubted his initial choice.
If he had allowed his creations (the Dark Celestials and the Celestials), and his creations' creations (the life and civilizations created by the Celestials) to evolve with him, would he not have fallen into this predicament of fighting alone?
Furthermore, the Celestial War would not have happened at all, and he would have been the only reality in this void from beginning to end.
For some reason, the First Firmament felt tired.
The appearance of this unusual emotion stemmed from the rotten situation within his Universe.
The First Firmament was aging and dying.
When the internal Universe underwent drastic changes, no longer an unchanging dark void, the First Firmament also ceased to be eternally young, eternally powerful.
I'm going to die.
A thought suddenly arose, startling the First Firmament.
He didn't understand why he had this feeling, but it appeared, and it pulsed strongly, as if telling the First Firmament that this was the truth, a truth he could not stop.
The First Firmament sneered.
The First Firmament, realizing he was about to die, became even more insane.
He pulled his hands from his chest, this time with unexpected ease.
Eternity, who had almost been torn apart, no longer stopped the First Firmament. Eternity began to fear, fearing to provoke the madman, the First Firmament.
After withdrawing his arms, the shackles of the Fifth Cosmos could no longer bind the First Firmament. The First Firmament merely struggled, and the shackles broke.
With his hands freed, the First Firmament made a surprising decision, a decision that Eternity would regret.
The First Firmament plunged one hand into his chest, grabbed Eternity's head, and forcibly pulled Eternity out of his body.
"Eternity, my descendant, I am going to die."
The First Firmament leaned closer, his eyes glowing blue as he stared at Eternity.
"Meet me in death!"
Sizzle... Sizzle...
Claws slid down, sizzling, and the First Firmament easily tore cracks across Eternity's surface.
Freed from constraints, the First Firmament displayed his overwhelming combat advantage over Eternity as a more powerful singular Universe.
"I won't die! You can't kill me!" Eternity cried out in pain, the Superflow rapidly recovering within him, swiftly transforming from a singular Universe form back into a Multiverse form.
"Then what if I told you that even if you transform back into a Multiverse form, I can still easily kill you?"
First Firmament sneered, his sharp claws sliding down Eternity's forehead, tearing open cracks, as if to completely rip Eternity apart from head to toe.
Specks of light sprinkled from Eternity's body, mixed with large pieces of dark-blue fragments shedding from the First Firmament's body, falling outside of reality.
The First Firmament's Universe, this once vast and boundless sea of stars, suddenly solidified at a certain moment, and space twisted into frightening curves.
Lucas, who was feasting, suddenly stopped. In his eyes, magnetic fields were chaotic, satellites began to fall towards Planets, and Planets began to fall towards stars.
In the void, several deep cracks abruptly tore open. The sea of stars flowed backward, and countless stars derailed, plummeting into the depths of the cracks.
The distance between the stars shortened until all existence was pulled to that deadly line symbolizing destruction.
Rumble!!!
Planets collapsed and collided, and terrifying explosions echoed in the void, like the wails of all things.
The next moment, the entire starry sky detached from the First Firmament's Universe.
'Is the First Firmament tearing his own body apart in a fit of rage?' Lucas wondered.
He felt that although he was feasting in the First Firmament's Universe, it shouldn't have pushed the First Firmament to such an extent that he would rather gouge out a piece of his own flesh to force him out of his inner Universe.
Although puzzled, Lucas's actions were not slow. He leaped, transforming into a brilliant white stream of light, and sped towards the cracks.
At the same time, his talent [Energy Absorption] activated, lurking around the cracks, waiting for countless matter and energy to deliver themselves to him.
"Bug, you're here!"
An indescribably vast voice came from beyond this starry sky.
The First Firmament, who was tearing Eternity apart with his bare hands, noticed the anomaly of this Universe fragment and cast his gaze upon it.
Other Universe fragments continuously spewed out matter and energy, but this particular Universe fragment suddenly stopped.
'Hmm? The First Firmament doesn't know I'm here. Was I accidentally thrown out of the First Firmament's Universe?' Lucas's heart stirred.
He passed through the cracks, emerging from the Universe fragment to outside of all things, and what he saw instantly confirmed his guess.
The First Firmament's condition was quite poor.
The First Firmament pressed a single claw on Eternity's head, holding Eternity in place, and continuously tore downwards, carving several dark and twisted gashes in Eternity's Universe.
From the scene, the First Firmament had the upper hand, and Eternity was utterly powerless to resist.
But a closer look at their bodies would lead to a completely opposite conclusion.
Although Eternity was suppressed, his head had several cracks, and a large hole was torn in his chest, making him look extremely miserable, most areas within his Universe were stable.
As for the First Firmament, the large hole in his chest was even more horrifying than Eternity's.
Not only that, his body was black in some places and dark-blue in others, and in many areas, the dark-blue was fading, and deep black was spreading, like age spots.
"Are you dying?" Lucas asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm dying? No! You're the one who's dying!" The First Firmament sneered, waving his hand towards Lucas's location.
The First Firmament's sharp claw rapidly magnified in Lucas's eyes, instantly occupying his entire vision.
Rip...
The sharp claw sliced through the entire starry sky behind Lucas, like a hot knife through butter, effortlessly cutting open the starry sky, leaving five deep, dark scars that traversed the entire starry sky.
These five cracks were like the last straw that broke the camel's back, completely tearing this starry sky into fragments. The Planets, light and heat, dark matter, and dark energy within the starry sky were exposed to outside of all things, disintegrating into dust.
Under the collapsing sky, Lucas, however, showed a strange smile. He was certain the First Firmament had lost his mind. Otherwise, he would never have presented such a golden opportunity to re-enter his inner Universe.
Tearing apart a starry sky.
Such a move seemed terrifying, but this kind of large-scale attack posed no threat to Lucas whatsoever.
Although the First Firmament had actively presented the opportunity, Lucas was not in a hurry.
First, eat what's in the bowl.
Talent [Energy Absorption] activated.
A brilliant white abyss that devoured all things appeared outside of all things. The remnants of this starry sky were pulled by an invisible force, and the various substances that had been ground into dust re-condensed, forming a Nebula that converged towards Lucas.
Not only that, further and deeper outside of reality, the fragments that had previously detached from the First Firmament and Eternity reappeared, slowly converging towards Lucas's location.
"That's mine, it's mine!"
The First Firmament went completely mad. He stretched out his claw towards Lucas's location, wanting to reclaim these substances that had detached from his body and reincorporate them into his inner Universe.
Hmm?
Lucas looked up at the First Firmament's outstretched claw, only to see a crack in its palm, like a gaping maw, ready to devour him.
"He's really lost his mind." Lucas muttered, unmoved, allowing the giant mouth in the First Firmament's palm to swallow him and the surrounding Nebula together.
Then, Lucas continued to absorb these converging Nebulae, converting them into points.
The First Firmament quickly realized that entering his Universe had no effect on Lucas whatsoever. Lucas continued to devour energy just as he had before. The only thing affected was probably his mood.
Originally, he could ignore it, out of sight, out of mind. But now, everything was happening before his eyes, and he was powerless to stop it.
No! There's a way!
The First Firmament's heart hardened. He looked down at his claw, and at Lucas located in that area.
He belatedly realized his mistake.
Now, he had to rectify this mistake.
— — —
Nearly half a month had passed since the end of the War of Finality.
In that battle, Lucas took from his enemies, fighting to sustain himself, and devoured most of the mass and energy of the First Firmament's Universe.
The First Firmament's Universe was completely destroyed, with only a few fragments scattered into the depths of the void.
Eternity's Universe, on the other hand, was severely damaged by the First Firmament's counterattack, with hundreds of thousands of Universe clusters reduced to mere dozens, a survival rate of less than one in ten thousand.
"The First Firmament has fallen, the physical avatars of past Multiverses have returned to the Other Shore, and Eternity has once again entered slumber. This generation of the Multiverse has entered its life countdown."
Pouring himself a cup of fresh coconut water, Lucas shrugged slightly, "The First Firmament's Universe and Eternity's Universe both suffered heavy losses. This is the final outcome of this war."
A soft murmur rose. "So, the end of the world is still unavoidable?"
"What are you thinking?"
Lucas playfully patted Gwen, then paused and patted Wanda.
"There are at least ten million years until the Multiverse completely perishes."
"Gwen, Wanda, let us spend this long and beautiful time together."
(Note: Anticlimactic ending, I know.)
