Chapter 234 - Lucas's Energy is Exhausted?

In the Four Realms' joint forces command center, the Dark Elf Commander issued orders.

"The warships are to disperse and engage, targeting the country's infrastructure such as transportation, communications, energy, and water conservancy. Within three days, destroy the most powerful nation on this planet. Let the Midgardians know the consequences of defying us!"

After assigning the combat missions, the Dark Elf Commander looked at Kurse, to solicit his opinion.

Kurse nodded, his expression solemn. "That's how we'll do it. At the same time, add one more item."

"Find the master of the face that just appeared in the clouds, and the warriors participating in the rescue on the ground. As long as they are dealt with, the remaining Midgardians pose no threat to us. Their technological level and general quality are very ordinary."

"Yes, Commander Kurse."

After the Dark Elf Commander left to make arrangements, Kurse still gazed at the sky, unable to recover his thoughts for a long time.

"Midgard actually has such a powerful sorcerer. Fortunately, he made a huge mistake to save these mortals."

"Delaying time for such a large area, and teleporting hundreds of thousands of people away at once."

"His energy is probably exhausted, otherwise..."

Kurse retracted his gaze from the sky and looked at the ruins below.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have left some here, not taking them with him.

I didn't expect that merely being too lazy to deal with the bugs below would lead to an unexpected gain, forcing a powerful sorcerer to overdraw his energy and lose his combat ability.

Thinking of this, Kurse couldn't help but let out a snort.

In the United States command center, a technical staff member summarized the information.

"The alien warships have dispersed. Radar shows their targets are our country's various infrastructures."

Ross was overjoyed upon hearing this and decided immediately, "Send out all air force combat units to defeat them one by one!"

Fury, however, held a dissenting opinion. "No, except for the new generation fighter jets, our other fighter jets have a technological gap with the enemy, and their performance is far inferior. Letting them participate in the battle will only make them sitting ducks."

Ross shouted, "Fury, know your place! I am the supreme Commander of this campaign!"

Fury: "General Ross, your erroneous decisions will only lead to a tragic defeat!"

Seeing Fury argue with him repeatedly, Ross no longer gave Fury face.

In Ross's view, if S.W.O.R.D.'s intelligence work hadn't been inadequate, allowing the alien warships to easily breach Earth's outer space defense line and enter the homeland, the current situation wouldn't be so passive.

Ross said, "Guard, Fury is tired, take him to rest."

Seeing that Ross couldn't be persuaded, Fury could only turn to Tony for help again.

And he revealed his carefully concealed assets that he had saved up—two aircraft carriers utilizing Dark Order technology and a new generation fighter combat unit—to Tony.

"Stark, the aliens' attack target is various infrastructures. If they succeed, this country will be finished."

"Understood."

Tony nodded.

With the capital's fall this time and the aliens engaging in battle on home soil, the United States' prestige was severely damaged.

If various infrastructures were also severely damaged, the national strength would inevitably decline significantly.

In the subsequent superhuman arms race and space technology race, the United States would fall completely behind the other major powers.

However...

Tony looked at his comrades around him.

Steve, after seventy years of sleep, doesn't agree with the current United States government.

Bruce still has an unsettled score with the United States Military.

Natasha is Russian.

Thor and Loki are Asgardians.

Gwen and Erin are New Yorkers, but Gwen isn't from this Universe.

Wanda and Pietro are Sokovians.

G'iah isn't even an Earthling, she is a Skrull.

After a quick glance around, Tony said, "Everyone, I have good news. The Four Realms' warships are targeting various infrastructures, not urban clusters. We can fight freely without worrying about collateral damage to innocents."

"Let's first eliminate the dispersed alien warships, then concentrate our forces to attack the main ship."

Thor's eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the Dark Elf flagship also moving rapidly in the sky and said, "Tony, there's no need for such trouble. Once it's a bit further away, I alone can take it down."

Tony asked, "Are you sure?"

Thor nodded. "I am sure."

Tony patted Thor's shoulder and said, "Alright, then their flagship is yours, Thor."

He believed in Thor's strength and didn't want to dampen his enthusiasm.

"Ultron, command the Iron Legion to cooperate with my and Fury's fighter jet squad to snipe the enemy's dispersed warships."

"Everyone else, prepare. After Thor shoots down the enemy flagship, cooperate with Thor to assault the enemy Commander."

"Alright."

Everyone responded in unison, agreeing with Tony's arrangements.

On the small hill, as soon as Lucas returned and sat down, the Watcher poured him another glass of lemonade.

Lucas: "..."

This new Watcher is too polite.

"Lemonade is too sour, let's drink something else."

Lucas took out two new cups and a bottle of coconut water, filling them for himself and the Watcher.

The Watcher took it, and with an expressionless face, took a sip.

"Lord Lucas, you saved some people, but not others. Some will resent you."

Lucas smiled. "I know that. However, others will defend me. And..."

Doing this can alleviate public pressure on others, mainly Gwen, Ghost-Spider.

"That's true."

The Watcher nodded, quickly finding examples in his database.

In this Marvel Universe, where deities truly exist, whether in the wild and savage primitive era, or in the information age where technology is rapidly advancing, almost reaching the level of miracles, Gods stand at the pinnacle of faith, high above all.

Every action of a God is automatically beautified by believers.

Gorr the God Butcher suffered from hunger, endured hardships, and watched his daughter die of thirst before him, yet he never doubted Rapu, the god he worshipped.

It wasn't until Rapu himself told him that their suffering was the price Rapu paid for defeating the wielder of the Necrosword that Gorr's faith collapse, and he picked up the Necrosword, becoming the God Butcher.

"So, those who do nothing, take no action, yet love to criticize warriors who haven't achieved perfection, should be careful."

Lucas waved his hand, and a glowing white energy shot into the sky, blowing up a hapless Dark Elf fighter jet flying in that direction.

"Will their actions anger the true gods, making them God-forsaken?"

"When disaster strikes, others are saved. But they can only face despair, falling into the abyss."
