Chapter 166 - Loki With Gungnir?

"Odin, please."

Ancient One suppressed a smile as she poured Odin a cup of tea.

If she didn't have to maintain her image, she would have cursed that Watcher.

He claimed he was only observing and not interfering. In reality, he interfered quite a lot, being both a meddler and a hypocrite.

After another furious reprimand of the Watcher, Odin took the tea Ancient One pushed towards him and drank it in one gulp.

"Ancient One, I came to Kamar-Taj this time to ask if the seven hammers that landed on Midgard came from Asgard in another Universe."

"What is the relationship between their master and Asgard?"

The Ancient One took a sip of tea, thought for a moment, and then said, "These seven hammers indeed come from another Universe. Their master is the God of Fear, Cul Borson."

"In some Universes, Cul is the eldest son of Bor, the All-Father, and the Asgardian King."

All-Father, Asgardian King.

Hearing these two titles, Odin nodded with a solemn expression.

He knew how powerful he was in his youth. Therefore, Cul, as the All-Father and Asgardian King of other Universes, was naturally also very powerful.

"Odin, there's no need to worry."

The Ancient One smiled, comforting the solemn-faced Odin.

"You have to believe in the abilities of the younger generation."

Odin shook his head with a helpless expression.

Thor and Loki were not a problem against ordinary opponents. But facing an All-Father, an Asgardian King, they were far outmatched.

However, his current body could no longer support him in a high-intensity battle. With a heavy heart, Odin returned to Asgard alone.

After much thought, he made a difficult decision.

In a manor in the outskirts of New York, another rainbow light descended from the sky.

Along with the rainbow light came Odin's oracle.

"Loki Odinson, my second son. In the name of Asgard's King, I bestow upon you the eternal spear Gungnir."

The rainbow light dissipated, and another runic mark appeared in the courtyard.

In the center of the rune, Gungnir stood upright, floating.

It was Odin's exclusive weapon.

Holding it allowed one to borrow a portion of Odin's power.

Moreover, Gungnir possessed the characteristics of hitting its target every time and piercing through everything, with incredibly astonishing lethality.

Loki's hands trembled as he took Gungnir.

He had coveted his brother Thor's mjolnir for a long time, but it wasn't just envy of mjolnir's astonishing destructive power. More importantly, it was the favoritism from Odin hidden behind it.

Gungnir was Odin's exclusive weapon. Odin had never given it to anyone else to use, not even Thor. This was why Loki was so excited.

"Loki, do you swear to fight for your parents, relatives, and friends?" Odin's voice sounded after Loki took Gungnir.

"I swear."

Loki's suppressed excitement turned into solemnity.

"Loki, do you swear to fight for Asgard, for the defense of peace?"

"I swear."

"Do you swear to abandon all selfish ambitions and do only what is beneficial for the kingdom?"

"I swear."

As the last question ended, Gungnir shone brightly in Loki's hand.

Loki's Asgardian armor involuntarily appeared, covering the black suit he was originally wearing.

Compared to Odin's solemnity, Ancient One was much calmer.

Odin still needed to pave the way for his two sons, Thor and Loki but she could already rely on her disciple Lucas.

Sparks flickered, and a portal opened.

The Ancient One teleported Lucas, who had been cooped up in the bookstore reading during this time, over.

"Lucas, still reading?"

After glancing at the Darkhold, the Ancient One withdrew her gaze.

She knew that for other sorcerers, Darkhold was a forbidden item. Casting the black magic on it came with a huge price.

But for Lucas, who was on the same level as Chthon, just lacking a bit of accumulation, the only difference between Darkhold and other magic books was that Darkhold was more straightforward.

The words and runes on Darkhold were information itself, which could be directly received—as long as one wasn't afraid of their mind being corrupted.

Lucas put away Darkhold, stretched, and asked, "Master, are you looking for me for something?"

Ancient One said calmly, "An Asgardian King from another Universe, the God of Fear Cul, has extended his hand to Earth in this Universe."

"You should pay attention and not let him cause too much trouble."

Lucas nodded. "Alright. Is it the seven hammers that landed on Earth earlier?"

Lucas had also noticed the energy fluctuations when the seven hammers landed on Earth from outer space, but he didn't pay attention. This level of energy fluctuation was definitely not a good thing.

"It should be related to these seven hammers."

Ancient One took out the hammer Tony had brought to Kamar-Taj and placed it on the ground.

"This is one of them, take a look."

Lucas looked intently.

The hammer exuded a power called Fear. At a glance, it was clearly related to the God of Fear.

Lucas asked, "This hammer indeed contains the power of fear. Master, what do you think should be done? Should we collect the seven hammers, or…"

"No hurry, Lucas, just observe the situation. As for these hammers, they will soon find their suitable wielders and then appear. At that time, let Tony, Wanda, and the Avengers handle it."

Lucas nodded.

Ancient One's words were exactly what he was thinking.

He was only responsible for providing a safety net at critical moments. Other matters, of course, had to be outsourced.

Otherwise, why would he painstakingly assemble the Sorcerer Supreme Team?

"Then Master, I'll go get busy."

Leaving Kamar-Taj, Lucas planned to first go to the drink shop next to the bookstore to inform Wanda.

However, Wanda's parents told him that she was still in class. The tutor she had taken leave from earlier had returned.

Helpless, Lucas could only go see Tony first. However, Tony's whereabouts were not as fixed as Wanda's, so he needed to make a phone call first.

After the call connected, Lucas opened a portal to the coordinates Tony gave him.

On the other side of the portal was the living room of Tony's newly built mansion in the suburbs of New York.

A circular sofa, a warm fireplace, a soft carpet, and stylish floor lamps.

Although Lucas didn't understand the profound meaning of these layouts, at a glance, he felt a sense of comfort and warmth.

In the living room, Tony was sitting with Pepper, listening to her report on the company's various business statements.

However, judging by Tony's expression, he clearly didn't care about this. He was just sitting there obediently because he couldn't refuse Pepper.
