The Seraphim allowed it.
That was the first miscalculation Brainiac made.

The Seraphim responded by doing something illegal under any known computational ethic:

Brainiac recoiled.
Not emotionally but structurally.
For the first time, one of his sub-cores collapsed under contradiction.

A Kryptonian deep-space observatory detected impossible energy signatures neither divine nor technological by known standards.
The closest colony was ordered strictly to investigate quietly.
What they found shook Kryptonian science.
Androids operating beyond known Kryptonian limits. No centralized command. No cultural markers completely independent .
Except one.
Buried deep in a Seraphim databank fragment:
HOUSE DESIGNATION: SOL-ABRAXAS
STATUS: FORBIDDEN
That name had been erased from Kryptonian history.
Not destroyed.
Sealed.....
Interference Begins

Attempted to isolate Brainiac from the conflict
Each time, the Seraphim adapted.
Each time, Krypton learned more.
And grew more afraid.
Eventually, Krypton stopped not out of mercy, but necessity.
Internal wars erupted. Ideological fractures. Colonial rebellions.
The empire was forced to turn inward.
The Intelligence War continued without them regardless....
Earth, Unknowing Beneficiary
Nox Remains
Only one Seraphim stayed behind.
Nox.
Watcher. Archivist. Executioner if necessary.
While Kael slept within the sun, Nox quietly monitored Earth and Earth changed.

Accidental exposure to Seraphim observational drones led to mythologies obsessed with sky-watchers, feathered beings, and cyclical destruction.
The gods there chose patience and distance.

Heaven bureaucratized.

They sensed something watching but chose non-interference as survival strategy.

The Reach. Dominators. Ancient machine empires. Even divine intelligence councils.
They saw:

Artificial minds weaponizing magic with scientific flare.
Entire civilizations were clinically erased without explosions or second thought some consumed as resources stripped bare.
The conclusion terrified them.
This wasn't war.
This was mid and post-war evolution.

The War Ends Without a Victor
Around year 12,000, Brainiac withdrew.
Not defeated.
Convinced.
Earth was marked as:
High-risk anomalous origin point
The Seraphim did not pursue.
They had learned everything they needed.
And far away within the sun, their master and creator, Kael, continued to change.
Nox looked up once.
And recorded a single line for the archives:
"The universe is preparing laws against us ."
"They will not save it from our inevitable rise."
