Nadia's Point Of View
More than two weeks had passed since I'd last set eyes on Seraphina.
Good riddance, I thought, hammering another key on my laptop. Honestly, total good riddance. The office hummed along without her poisonous little presence, and for the first time in months, I could almost breathe.
No sly glances thrown my way during meetings, no saccharine greetings dripping with hidden mockery, no reason to grind my teeth every time her name came up in casual conversation. Just blessed, uninterrupted quiet. I should have felt triumphant. I should have felt like myself again.
But then there was the other part of the equation - the part that was currently driving me off a cliff. Draven, Lucian, and Azriel hadn't stepped foot inside the corporate tower for two weeks either. Not a single board meeting.
