Nadia's Point Of View
I squeezed my eyes shut for a brief second, a cold, bitter realization washing over me like ice water. So... Lydia had folded. She had completely surrendered to the Seraphina charm offensive, laid down her weapons and joined the enemy camp.
Which meant that now, officially, I was the only Anti-Seraphina left in the entire Operations Department. The only one who could see through the glossy, perfect exterior to whatever calculating manipulator lurked beneath. The last holdout in a war everyone else had already conceded.
Seraphina was just too perfect. The way she walked with that graceful, confident stride, as if the ground itself was honored to support her weight. The way she spoke, her voice always pitched at exactly the right tone… warm but professional, friendly but not overly familiar.
