Nadia's Point Of View
"Are you completely insane?!" Panic finally overrode the frost in my veins, and I shrieked the words. I clawed at the rough brick wall, desperate to wrench my hips away from his solid frame. My fingernails scraped against mortar, leaving white trails across the dusty surface. "How dare you say something like that to me?"
My voice climbed higher, edged with hysteria. "How dare you look at me and think you have the right to talk about liking me?" The words cracked with indignation, my throat raw from screaming. "All you want is to blackmail me into having sex with you! You are a pathetic, disgusting pig, Jerry!"
Jerry didn't flinch. He just chuckled, a low, dark, rumbling sound that vibrated right through my bare shoulder blades. The laugh held no humor… only possession, only certainty. His calloused hands didn't retreat; instead, they began trailing up my arms in a slow, possessive crawl that made my skin break out in goosebumps.
