Chapter 159 - Odin’s Death

In the massive crater, Odin's face was deathly pale. Cracks spread across his body, exposing flesh beneath the shattered armor. Blood flowed from countless wounds, and he looked barely alive. Clearly, Chen Chen's strike had left the All-Father gravely injured.

Step by step, Chen Chen walked toward the fallen god. Standing before the pit, his figure flashed forward instantly. Raising his fist high, he brought it crashing down.

Boom!

Odin's head exploded into a cloud of blood mist, leaving behind only a broken corpse.

With a casual motion of his hand, Odin's soul condensed into a crystalline fragment that floated into Chen Chen's palm.

"Odin Force…"

Chen Chen examined the crystal and revealed a faint smile.

At that moment, the sound of marching footsteps echoed across the arena.

Clank! Clank! Clank!

Thousands of fully armed Asgardian soldiers flooded into the coliseum, clad in golden armor and wielding glowing blades. In an instant, they surrounded Chen Chen from every direction.

"Chen Chen!" one of the leading warriors shouted angrily. "Even if you killed our king and prince, the Asgardian army will never submit to you!"

"Is that so?"

Chen Chen chuckled mockingly. His gaze swept over the soldiers.

"Then there's no reason for you to continue existing."

To him, the mighty Asgardian army—feared across the universe—was nothing more than a slightly larger group of ants.

The sky had already turned blood-red. Above the arena hung a moonlike celestial body glowing crimson.

And beneath this blood moon, war erupted.

"Attack!"

With a roar from the commanders, countless soldiers charged forward, raising their energy swords as they rushed at Chen Chen.

"Hmph. Perfect timing."

Chen Chen casually picked up Odin's divine spear, Gungnir, from the ground and swung it once.

A terrifying gale exploded outward.

The first wave of Asgardian soldiers was instantly cut in half from a distance, their bodies severed at the waist.

Then—

Whoosh!

Chen Chen hurled Gungnir straight into the crowd.

BOOM!

Screams erupted everywhere.

The spear transformed into a streak of light, and the sheer force of its passage crushed dozens of soldiers into pulp before embedding itself deep into a distant wall.

The next moment, Chen Chen extended his hand, and Gungnir flew back to him as if answering its master's call.

Holding the divine spear, he charged directly into the Asgardian ranks.

Each swing unleashed a storm of blood and flesh.

Wherever Gungnir passed, bodies were smashed into paste. Some soldiers were completely reduced to ash by the spear's energy.

The Asgardians screamed in despair as Chen Chen tore through them.

Their swords and arrows could not hit him. And even when attacks landed, they caused no damage whatsoever.

Above them, hovering warships fired lasers and explosive shells continuously—but Chen Chen merely waved his hand and effortlessly blasted them out of the sky.

Outside the arena, civilians could not see the battle clearly. They only heard endless explosions and agonized screams. Terrified, they remained within the designated safe zone, afraid that leaving would expose them to the battle's shockwaves.

Then suddenly—

Bodies came flying out of the arena.

Broken corpses drenched in blood, mangled almost beyond recognition, crashed into the ground before the crowd.

"Ugh—!"

Some spectators immediately vomited at the horrifying sight.

"What… what's happening in there?"

People stared at the dismembered bodies on the blood-soaked ground, trembling in fear.

Back inside the arena, Chen Chen's mastery over Gungnir became increasingly fluid and overwhelming. But after using it for a while, he suddenly seemed dissatisfied.

BOOM!

He drove the spear deep into the ground.

Looking at the remaining Asgardian soldiers, he laughed wildly and charged forward barehanded.

A casual swipe of his hand stirred up another wave of bloodshed.

With one grab, he hurled a soldier hundreds of meters away, killing him instantly.

With a single punch, the compressed shockwave from his physical strength alone shattered several warriors into dust.

His body shot forward like a missile, smashing through over a dozen soldiers. Their bones exploded apart midair before they even hit the ground.

Another punch followed.

A white blast of force surged outward, sweeping through hundreds of soldiers and sending them flying.

"Mmm…"

Chen Chen inhaled deeply, savoring the scent of blood that filled the air.

A cruel smile spread across his face.

"It's been a long time since I enjoyed slaughter like this…"

The sensation made every cell in his body feel exhilarated.

"I really was born to be a demon king."

Thinking that, Chen Chen showed the surviving soldiers a smile that looked straight out of a nightmare.

"He's a monster!"

"We should surrender! There's no hope against this kind of power!"

"Shut up! If we surrender to a demon like him, Asgard truly will be finished!"

The remaining soldiers gripped their swords tightly. Sweat dripped from their foreheads onto the blood-soaked ground as they stared at Chen Chen in terror.

They feared that even blinking might cost them their heads.

Chen Chen grinned.

Then he stomped down heavily.

BOOM!!!

Like a volcanic eruption, an explosion of force erupted beneath his feet.

The world itself seemed to slow down.

Chen Chen leapt high into the sky above the arena and struck downward with a palm attack.

Though separated by hundreds of meters, the compressed air exploded into countless streams of white energy that rained onto the soldiers below.

Blood sprayed everywhere as warriors were blasted backward violently.

Hovering in the air like a god, Chen Chen looked down at them and asked calmly:

"Well? Are you still going to resist?"

"AAAAAH!"

Feeling the unbearable pain tearing through their bodies—and seeing Chen Chen floating above them like a divine being—countless Asgardian warriors thought the same thing simultaneously:

Surrender.

Against a monster capable of splitting the earth with a stomp and tearing apart the sky with a punch, they had absolutely no chance of victory.

Despair filled the hearts of the surviving Asgardians.

Yet because none of them wanted to be the first to lose face before their comrades, everyone waited for someone else to surrender first.

And so, despite Chen Chen's question, the battlefield remained deathly silent.
