Chapter 113 - Meeting Fury

"Speaking of which, this Killian incident really caused quite a stir," Tony said, manipulating the holographic projections in the room to display recent news reports about Killian and the Mandarin.

The Killian incident had also prompted Tony to reflect deeply on his past actions. A single impulsive decision had created a bloodthirsty demon that had harmed countless innocent people. While he wasn't solely responsible for the ripple effects, Killian's actions were undeniably influenced by him.

"After all, kidnapping the president is a major terrorist act. The media wouldn't let that go," Chen Chen said casually, glancing at the reports on the projection and letting out a lazy yawn. "I've been staying here with you for quite some time now. It's time for me to leave."

"So soon? You could stay a little longer," Tony said, sounding genuinely reluctant to see him go. Though he was naturally carefree, he had found unexpected enjoyment in the past two months spent with Chen Chen—from developing the Shadow Armor to investigating the Mandarin case.

"I still have a lot to take care of," Chen Chen thought, "and two months is already quite a long time." He remembered the deal he'd made with Fury—the Asgard space coordinates were now in his possession.

S.H.I.E.L.D. had the coordinates but lacked the technology to reach Asgard. Chen Chen, however, with the Space Stone, could appear anywhere in the universe as long as he had the necessary information.

In the Commander's office at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, a black-clad figure with a blue energy ring around him and an eyepatch stood before the desk.

Fury's remaining eye stared calmly at the sudden black hole, his gaze utterly unruffled, as if he had foreseen this moment.

"Fury, you remember our agreement, don't you?" a voice echoed from the black hole. Chen Chen stepped out, a cryptic smile playing on his lips, his dark eyes fixing on Fury's lone eye. "I've resolved the Mandarin incident. Now, I'm here to collect my payment."

"So, what about Asgard's spatial coordinates?" Chen Chen asked, spreading his palm.

"Rest assured, I never play tricks in a deal," Fury said, frowning slightly. He walked to his desk, opened a drawer, and retrieved a miniature hard drive. He handed it to Chen Chen. "Here's what you want."

"This contains the information about Asgard's spatial coordinates?" Chen Chen examined the drive before nodding at Fury.

"Genuine as can be. Feel free to check it now if you don't believe me." Fury casually gestured toward the computer on the desk. He was, in fact, an honest trader who wouldn't try to cheat on compensation. He knew that doing so would damage his reputation, potentially costing him his life at a critical moment.

"No need to check. I trust you," Chen Chen said with a smile, tucking the hard drive into his pocket. "But honestly, how did you get the information about Asgard's spatial coordinates?"

"This isn't humanity's first encounter with extraterrestrial lifeforms; we have some experience. Moreover, when Thor visited Earth in the past, the quantum tunneling channels he used left behind certain information. With the help of our computers, we can use this data to make predictions. What you have in your hand should be the most accurate Asgardian coordinates we've been able to determine so far."

Chen Chen nodded, his attitude toward Asgard undoubtedly serious. After all, Asgard was one of the most important places in the Marvel Universe.

Although its culture seemed to retain a strong ancient Norse flavor, its scientific and technological development level far surpassed Earth's by several centuries, having already entered the era of interstellar exploration.

Furthermore, Asgardians had three times the body density of humans, and their cold weapons and armor were forged from Uru metal alloys, augmented by laser weaponry. In terms of equipment alone, Asgard's regular army could crush Earth's.

Coupled with facilities like the Bifrost, capable of ultra-long-range teleportation and planetary destruction, Asgard's technology truly captivated Chen Chen's interest.

However, technology was only one part of the equation. What truly captivated Chen Chen was Odin's treasury in Asgard, which housed divine weapons and artifacts from across the Nine Realms and the entire universe. Among them was Surtur's Eternal Flame, which Odin had seized from the Fire Giant Surtur's domain.

Surtur's power had been weakened by Odin's theft. Legend had it that if Gjallarhorn's greatsword were tempered with this flame, it could destroy Asgard—a concept also depicted in *Thor: Ragnarok*. The treasury also contained artifacts like the Life Tablet and the Warlock's Eye. The sheer abundance of these treasures was the primary reason Chen Chen wanted to go to Asgard.

"Before I leave, I should take care of things on Earth first," Chen Chen murmured, stroking his chin.

Blue light flashed in his left palm as he condensed a ball of spatial energy and hurled it into the air. Instantly, a black hole reappeared. Turning to Fury, Chen Chen said bluntly, "Fury, I'll be away from Earth for a while. I'd appreciate it if you could keep an eye on my loved ones during that time."

Before Fury could even speak, Chen Chen leaped into the black hole. The portal instantly collapsed, leaving Fury standing alone in the commander's office, frozen in place.

"Leaving Earth, what a stubborn guy. But when he returns, his combat power will probably skyrocket again."

"He's truly a monster."

Fury muttered to himself.

"Your sudden return has caught me off guard," said the Ancient One, her face betraying no outward sign of surprise. After studying Chen Chen for a moment, she continued, "Where have you been playing lately? Things have been turned upside down here in your absence."

At that moment, Chen Chen was sprawled lazily in a "Ge You slump" on the massive cushion in the Ancient One's training chamber.

After obtaining Asgard's spatial coordinates from Fury, he had returned to the seaside villa for some quality time with the White Queen. Then, he came back to Kamar-Taj, eager to ask the Ancient One some questions about his cultivation.

Though his magical power now surpassed hers, experience remained the best teacher. The Ancient One's decades of arcane practice and dimension-exploring expertise were invaluable models for Chen Chen to learn from.
