Adelaide was full of regret at this moment; how had she been possessed to get onto this damned Gringotts Goblin cart?
This was simply more than a human could bear!
Adelaide felt as if her internal organs were about to be shaken out. As soon as she got off the cart, she and Hermione leaned on each other, gasping for air, trying to calm the overwhelming nausea.
Looking at Hagrid nearby, his already dark face was now a terrifying shade of ashen green, as if he were about to vomit everything in his stomach at any second.
Only the energetic Harry was different. After getting off the cart at the Potter Family vault, he still had the leisure to look around and ask questions.
As Griphook skillfully unlocked the door to the Potter Family vault, a golden light flashed before everyone's eyes—the vault was filled with countless Galleons, Sickles, and Copper Knuts; it was practically blinding!
Adelaide was a bit surprised, but she felt relieved when she thought of Harry's identity as The Chosen One; this was the best endorsement for the Potter Family shampoo—even though Harry's own hair was like a straw nest.
It was estimated that in the British Wizarding World, except for Snape, everyone had contributed to the Potter Family's vault savings.
Harry looked as if he were seeing this much money for the first time in his life; he stood frozen on the spot, his mouth wide open, unable to close it for a long time.
Finally, Hagrid couldn't take it anymore and stepped forward to help him pick out and bag enough Galleons for a year's use.
Once everything was packed, the group put on pained expressions and boarded that terrifying cart again, continuing deeper into the depths.
After turning who knows how many corners, they arrived at Vault 713.
The security level of Vault 713 was clearly higher than that of the Potter Family vault; it didn't even need a key, requiring the Goblin's finger to unlock it.
When the vault door slowly opened, Harry and Hermione stared wide-eyed inside for a long time but couldn't find any priceless treasures hidden in Vault 713.
The entire vault was empty, with nothing but a dirty little package sitting in a corner.
Adelaide knew very well that the small package contained the legendary Philosopher's Stone. Just this tiny piece was worth far more than the sum of all the wealth in the Potter Family vault—the Philosopher's Stone possessed incredible magic, capable of turning any metal into pure gold and granting humans immortality. Currently, there was only one such stone in the world.
Hagrid carefully picked up the small bag containing the Philosopher's Stone and quickly stuffed it into the deepest part of his coat pocket; then they boarded the "Gringotts Roller Coaster" once more, starting an even faster and more thrilling return trip.
Finally, when they stood once again on the street illuminated by warm sunlight, Adelaide breathed a long sigh of relief, clutching her pounding heart as she truly felt she was alive.
Beside her, Hermione's legs were still weak, and she had to lean halfway against Adelaide to support herself.
She said in a low, trembling voice, "When we make money in the future, let's never store it in Gringotts. I really never want to ride that terrifying cart again."
Adelaide nodded in deep agreement and responded with lingering fear, "Yeah, one experience like that is enough. I don't want to do it a second time in my life!"
Hagrid, looking pale, asked Adelaide to take Harry and Hermione to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions to buy their robes first, while he needed to go to the Leaky Cauldron for a special "drink" to refresh himself.
Adelaide agreed to Hagrid's request and urged him to come back quickly, fearing he might vomit right there in Diagon Alley.
She took Harry and Hermione to Madam Malkins Robes for All Occasions. The short, plump, and smiling Madam Malkin recognized Adelaide at a glance, quickly invited her inside, and arranged for her to sit on a comfortable sofa to rest.
After all, Adelaide was a valued customer of their shop—under Armandina's special instructions, Madam Malkin had to hand-sew two of the most fashionable robes for Adelaide every three months.
Even so, Armandina still felt that British robes were too old-fashioned and lacked a sense of fashion. She was always planning to find a suitable time to go to high-end luxury Wizard brands in France to custom-order more magnificent robes for Adelaide.
But in fact, Adelaide didn't care much at all about whether the robes were fashionable.
The only thing she cared about was that the pockets of the robes had to be large enough so she could fill them with all sorts of delicious snacks to satisfy her appetite.
Harry and Hermione stood on the footstools behind the curtain as instructed by Madam Malkin, and they noticed a pale young man standing there as well.
He was thin, with platinum blonde hair slicked back neatly, and his grey eyes revealed an innate arrogance.
Adelaide sat on the sofa, watching everything unfold with interest. She saw Draco, the young master of the Malfoy Family, observe Harry and Hermione for a few seconds before initiating a conversation with them.
Perhaps because he noticed Madam Malkin's exceptionally friendly attitude towards Adelaide, Draco's tone when talking to Harry and Hermione was significantly friendlier than in the original story—although Draco was spoiled, he had learned about eighty to ninety percent of the Malfoy Family's smooth social etiquette, which was enough to handle Harry.
Adelaide couldn't help but fall into deep thought; if it weren't for the butterfly effect she caused, the first peer Harry encountered upon entering the Wizarding World should have been Draco Malfoy.
However, later on the train, Ron would drop in from out of nowhere, causing the relationship between Harry and Draco to gradually deteriorate, eventually turning into a situation as incompatible as fire and water.
They chatted for quite a while. Madam Malkin had already measured Harry and Hermione and was nimbly packing up their new school uniforms.
Hagrid, who had successfully regained his spirits with the help of alcohol, found them. He stood outside the window, cheerfully holding four large ice creams, winking and gesturing to Adelaide inside.
When Adelaide saw the chocolate and raspberry with chopped nut flavored ice cream through the window, her eyes instantly lit up.
Adelaide stood up and hurriedly exchanged a few pleasantries with the approaching Madam Malkin. After Harry and Hermione politely said goodbye to Draco, she impatiently pulled the two of them out of Madam Malkins Robes for All Occasions and ran straight toward Hagrid and the ice cream in his hands.
