Her patience snapped just as quickly. "She refused to go," she continued, pacing now herself. "And I can't force her. Besides, you said you just needed one of her eggs. I helped you get what you wanted."
Her voice hardened. "So what about the will? When are you going to have it changed? I want half of everything." There it was. Her priority. Clear. Blunt.
On the other end, Sebastian exhaled slowly, but there was nothing calm about it. "You listen to me," he said, his voice cold, cutting through her words like a blade. "This isn't finished until I say it is."
Amira froze. "I give the orders," he continued, each word deliberate, controlled. "And you will do as I say." Her grip tightened around the phone, anger flashing in her eyes.
"Keep trying to convince Amara to see a doctor," he added. "And tell me immediately if there's any news. Anything at all."
