The terrifying evolution was not yet complete. Because she was a water dragonborn, the fluid energy of Tiamat began to rewrite her outer anatomy to match the depths of the primordial seas.
With a wet, tearing sound, sharp, translucent webbing and razor-edged fins erupted from her body, anchoring themselves mainly along her powerful forearms and her elongated feet. Her blistered, ruined skin rapidly shed away, replaced by glistening, impenetrable dragon scales.
The color of her new hide shifted into a mesmerizing, deep aquatic palette—vibrant shades of turquoise, aqua, and striking, vibrant green hues that shimmered under the cold starlight. Her jagged spinal ridges, her whip-like tail, the massive horn on her forehead, and her slit pupil eyes all glowed with the same bioluminescent, spiky water-dragon light. She had become a majestic, terrifyingly spiky leviathan in human form.
