I tugged my hand away from Massimo's grip with a quiet hiss, digging my heels into the floor.
"Where are you taking me to?"
"To your room," Massimo's dark brow furrowed as he looked down at me, his expression making it seem like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
I glared up at him, my voice dropping to a harsh whisper. "I am not leaving Matteo alone in this room."
Massimo looked genuinely confused now, his broad shoulders shifting.
"Why not? He is comfortable sleeping alone. He has been doing that since."
I glanced over at the bed where Matteo stirred, grumbling something incoherent under his breath before settling back down.
Lowering my voice even further so the sound wouldn't carry across the space, I stepped closer to Massimo.
