( PH 2 )
The rain followed her home not outside
but inside her.Anie didn't remember the walk clearly.only fragments wet streets.
Blurred lights that voice,
"Your memories… are not complete."
The door clicked shut behind her silence.her room felt unfamiliar not because it had changed.but because
she had,her clothes were still damp.
Her hair clung to her face her hands
cold.
She stood there for a moment not moving.then slowly she walked inside.
the bathroom light flickered on.
Water ran steam filled the small space.
She stepped under the shower cold at first then warm.
The water traced down her face through her hair over her shoulders.
Washing away the rain but not the weight.her eyes closed and again
that feeling returned.something missing,
Something she had overlooked something important.
"…Sam…"
The name slipped out her chest tightened.the water kept falling but the memory stayed.
She didn't know how long she stood there.
Only that eventually she stepped out.
wrapped herself in dry clothes and walked back into her room.the bed waited she didn't even bother to fix it.
she just fell into it her body sank heavy.
exhausted her eyes closed almost instantly.darkness silence and then,
a sound soft unclear.
"...Anie…"
Her eyes snapped open the room
was gone.no walls,no bed,no light
instead a classroom,old.
Empty still dust floated through faint light coming from the window.
The air felt frozen in time Anie slowly sat up her breathing quickened.
"…what…?"
She stood her footsteps echoed slightly against the floor.every step too loud too real.
"…this place…"
Recognition hit slowly her old classroom.from years ago unchanged
like it had been waiting.
For her silence filled every corner until
she noticed it.someone standing near the window.
Still facing away her breath caught she didn't need to see the face.
she already knew,
"…Sam…"
Her voice trembled the figure didn't move immediately.Anie took a step closer then another her heart
pounding now.
"…Sam… is that really you…?"
The figure shifted slowly turning and there Samantha.
Just as she remembered but not exactly.her eyes softer but deeper.
As if they had seen something Anie never did.for a moment Anie couldn't move. Then she broke,
"Sam—!"
She rushed forward her hands reached out but stopped just before touching.
As if something invisible held her back
tears fell instantly.
"I'm sorry…"
Sam didn't step back didn't move she just looked at her.and that hurt more.
"I didn't understand…" Anie continued.
"I thought you were just stressed…"
"I thought it was nothing…"her breath shook.
"You tried to tell me… and I didn't listen…"tears streamed down her face.
"I left you alone…"her voice broke completely.
"I wasn't there…"silence,heavy unforgiving.
"…Anie."
Sam's voice soft not angry, not accusing.just there Anie froze.
"…look at me."
slowly Anie lifted her head Sam's eyes met hers calm gentle.
"You didn't know."Anie shook her head immediately.
"No… I should have ","You couldn't."
The words were firm but kind Anie stopped.
"…what?" Sam stepped slightly closer.
"You were seeing only what you understood." a pause.
"…just like now."Anie's breath caught.
"What do you mean…?"
Sam didn't answer directly instead
she asked, "…the diary." Anie blinked,
"…what?"
"The diary I gave you."Sam's voice remained soft.
"…do you still have it?"
Anie's mind froze for a second the diary.
that old one she hadn't thought about it in so long.
"I… I think it's in my room…"uncertain .
"I didn't read it…"her voice lowered.
"I couldn't…"Sam watched her quietly.
"…find it."Anie looked up,
"…what?"
"Find it." sam repeated,,
her tone didn't change but something in it felt important.
not urgent but necessary,,
"…why?"a small pause then,
"…because you're ready now."
Anie's chest tightened,"ready for what?"
no answer just that same calm gaze.
"…Sam…",her voice softened again.
"…what really happened to you…?"
silence for a moment it felt like the world itself was holding its breath.
Sam's expression changed slightly, not sadness something deeper.
"…you'll understand."a pause,
"…when you stop looking away."Anie's eyes widened.
"What does that mean ?"but the classroom shifted.the light flickered,
the air distorted.
"…Sam !"
She reached out this time trying to hold on but everything broke.Anie woke up
gasping back in her room.dark,silent.
Her heart was racing her hands trembled slightly.
"…a dream…"
But it didn't feel like one not completely.
She sat there for a moment trying to steady her breathing.then her eyes widened.
"…the diary…"
The memory snapped into place she stood up immediately.moving quickly now opening drawers searching shelves.her movements hurried
unfocused.
"…where is it…?"
clothes scattered, books moved, time passed.minutes more her breathing grew heavier.
"…it was here…"frustration building.
"…it has to be here…"
Then she stopped something beneath a stack of old books.her fingers moved slowly lifting them.and there It was..
the diary old, worn.unchanged just like that day.Anie held it her hands slightly shaking.
Her breath unsteady because this time
she knew.this wasn't just memory this was an answer.or maybe the beginning of one.
Her fingers slowly moved to open it.
and just before the page turned her heartbeat echoed louder than anything else....,
