THE TRUTH: SHE WHO STOOD UNDER THE MOONBEAM
"Yaho! Ai! I'm here!" A familiar person said. "She's outside right now...shopping for groceries with Ayumi and the others", Conan said while reading a book.
"Oh really...then I'll wait for her here...", she said. Silence took over for a minute, "oi...is it really okay for someone like you to be here?" Conan asked.
"Ah...don't worry about that...I always make sure that no one was around me." Luna said proudly.
Before Conan could think of another question Luna's phone buzzed. She looked serious while looking at the email and left the souvenirs at the table. "Conan...can you tell Ai that I left early? Make sure you tell her that I'll make it up to her and treat her to something she wants later, okay?"
After Conan gave a nod, Luna went out of the house and left with her car.

"Are you sure that it's okay to meet up like this?" Luna said after sitting in front of a man after setting her things she looked straight at him and said, "...Kudo Yusaku-san?"
"Getting a private cafe like this...I'm not sure if I can fight someone's wife...so we should probably be careful...", Luna said while grinning.
"If my wife would see you, she wouldn't even try to fight you...you know what her reaction would be. She would be over the moon and would end up hugging you until she crushes your bones." Kudo Yusaku answered with a soft laugh.
"I haven't heard anything from you for 8 months now...I'm sure that you remember your promise to get in touch at least once every three months, have you?" Kudo Yusaku said with a serious face.
Luna nervously swallowed her saliva and tried to look away, but the pressure from Kudo Yusaku's gaze made her sigh in defeat.
"I'm sorry, I know I promised you that but I've been busy the past few months...you must've been shocked to hear about me from Shin-chan...I'm sorry about that Uncle." Luna said apologetically.
~Flashback Around A Few Years Ago~
"...can you do it Uncle?" Aine said while looking at Kudo Yusaku. "You came here just for that? You're as reckless as always", Kudo Yusaku said to her but he didn't argue back, hinting that he'll agree to her plan.
After a few months Aine scheduled her visit to France.
"Hello...? Saika-senpai?" Aine waited in silence.
"Fujimine...you're in France right? Mind helping me a little?" He said in a weak voice.
"Senpai...wait, what happened? I remembered that you're also in France for a vacation with your wife and daughter, what's wrong?" Aine answered.
"Members of the organization spotted me, can you lend me a hand...? I can't get caught...not now", he replied.
Aine looked worried but she remained calm. She knew this was gonna happen, all of it. She went out her way to make sure that the organization tailing her colleague would notice her presence. The pursuit continued for hours until she saw an opportunity. She dialed a number.
"Zero...", she muttered. "Aine? What's wrong? Wait...what's that noise? What's happening?" Rei said with a panicked tone when he heard gunshots.
"Vermouth...and uh...the princess...", she said while enduring the pain caused by a bullet that hit her earlier.
"Wait...what do you mean?" Rei asked in confusion. Aine chuckled with her soft and weak voice.
She looked in front of her and smiled, "sorry...that barbecue party...I think I wouldn't be able to come..."
"Wait...Aine, what's going on", Rei questioned again, he sounded flustered.
The woman at the other line of the call made a soft giggle, "Zero, no--Furuya Rei...I love you...", she said.
The man on the other line, Furuya Rei wore an indistinct face. A loud crash was heard, a chuckle, then an explosion, and the line was cut.
Later that day, Fujimine Aine's relative, Kudo Yusaku came to France in person after hearing the incident, he investigated the case and it was ruled out to be an accident, the car with a female body fell from a cliff due to careless driving.
That night, it was a full moon, at the age of 25, Fujimine Aine died.
~End of Flashback~
"And you with your new identity watched everything standing like a fairy under the moonbeam", Kudo Yusaku said.
"That last part, Uncle if I don't know you well enough I would probably think that you really love sarcasm...", Luna said while eating a chocolate ice cream.
"Your old friend...you finally met her younger sister didn't you? And I heard that you're such a pest...you look like her real sister or so I heard",
Luna giggled, "I did meet her, she's as lovely as Akemi describe her to be...and a pest you say...Shin-chan can sure be harsh. I can't be her sister...'cause I'm not as kind as her...I'm not like Akemi."

"Was it 9 years ago? When you joined the organization? I can't quite remember...", the man across said. Luna took a bite of her food, "10...it was 10 years ago...why the sudden reminiscence?"
"Nothing...Cassis...that moment, your fierce eyes, the way your gaze could end anyone, I always knew that you'd be the one...", he said while sipping a wine.
"Is that so? Maybe you're right but things could change, one nosy kid could end up being the one...", Luna uttered.
Silence then took over the whole room.
