Clacking noise echoed through the air. A girl wearing a black dress sat at the passenger seat, obviously frustrated about something.
"What's wrong?", the man with the long hair said.
"It's sad, really. But let's not talk about that, you know what I said before. The reason why I came back." She said with a smile.
"Yeah, I don't know the details but you did say that you have a reason, what happened?" The man asked as he drove away.
"It was amusing, more amazing than I've ever thought, and I also met someone, a very special person that I've been wanting to meet for a long time now. It's worth celebrating, so...can I have a cake after dinner?" She smoothly said with another sweet looking smile.
The man sighed, "well I guess it'll be fine, let's ask that person for permission". The woman cheered loudly as she heard his answer.
Rain poured as the black, vintage looking car drove away.
...
"How was it?" The person carefully eating his steak asked.
The woman smiled, "good as ever".
"Oh, right. I heard an interesting story. You know they say that female hyenas inherit the mothers rank, and if a male hyena tries to compete for food or ends up violating a certain rule they will be attacked by the females, and that includes his daughters." The man narrated as he continued to eat.
The woman smiled and giggled, "interesting...it's fascinating to know such wonders of the world."
The whole dining room was filled with back to back words, giggles, and then...silence. But the two people across from each other kept on eating.
...
"Ai-chan?", Ayumi asked concerned about the girl who stopped walking to look around as if trying to find someone. She looked bothered, like seeing a ghost.
"I'm sorry...I'll be there." The girl said, she glanced behind her one last time before continuing to walk.
...
"Ehhh...is that true, Professor?" Ayumi asked while on the phone, it turns out Haibara didn't go home the night before. Ayumi was the last person with her, and she recalled parting ways halfway.
Professor called Inspector Megure, Conan also tried to track her steps, but no news came forward.
"Shinichi? What are you doing, looking at your phone like that?" The professor asked him.
"It's just...I don't know how to tell that person." He answered.
Professor Agasa tilted his head in confusion. Conan sighed, "Luna Noir...she's currently in Italy for a performance and she's supposed to come back in 3 days, but now...I think that would reduce to hours...", he added before finally dialing a number.
While everyone was busy looking for clues a knock came by the door. The one behind it was the guy from next door, Okiya Subaru, who apparently heard all the commotion and wanted to help in finding Haibara.
After brainstorming another knock came again, this time it was Amuro Toru, who said that he had something for Conan. Before entering he glared at Okiya Subaru, still thinking that he was the one and only FBI agent, Akai Shuuichi.
Okiya Subaru a.k.a. Akai Shuuichi just smiled as if he didn't feel anything. He was very confident in his disguise and knew that Bourbon, Amuro Toru wouldn't have any evidence against him.
...
"Is that true, Amuro-san?" Conan asked. "Yes...an old member who is planning to send that girl to Rum or even the Boss, I'm not sure why but I'm telling you this right now." Amuro said before leaving.
"What did he say?" Subaru asked, using his original voice.
"A small member of the organization has Haibara, I think he managed to discover her identity. That she's Miyano Shiho. But turns out this member screwed up before and is a target of the organization." Conan explained.
"I see, he's planning to exchange her for his life. I don't think that would work but let's save her before they make any contact. Oh yeah, wouldn't it be bad if he discovers her identity as well?" Subaru said.
"He? Oh...Amuro-san, he probably doesn't know...and that's why we need to move faster." Conan added.
...
"Ou..ch...where is this? I remember saying goodbye to Yoshida-san...and then...ahh", Haibara groggily said after remembering a person sneaking behind her placing a napkin soaked in chloroform on her mouth.
"You're finally awake...that's good, you should know that I'm really grateful to meet you. I didn't expect to see you in such a state, who would've thought that you would survive, looking like a child. I bet Gin would be happy to meet you again. I want to thank you in advance for being my savior, Miyano Shiho...Cherry", the man in front said. Haibara made a serious expression after hearing her real name and codename. She knew that the person in front of her was planning to hand her over to the organization.
The man slowly approached her and placed the napkin on her face again. Before blacking out, three images flashed before her eyes, Edogawa Conan, Miyano Akemi, and...Luna Noir.
