**Ten Years Ago.. Diwali Night, Delhi**
The night sky was alive with bursting fireworks. Loud explosions and colorful sparks lit up the darkness as laughter and cheers echoed across the sprawling family resort.
Eight-year-old Aisha, dressed in a bright purple lehenga, stood in the open courtyard with a mischievous grin. Beside her was Tanya, her partner in crime. They had just cornered their favorite target, chubby little Rohit.
"Hey, fatty!" Aisha snapped, smacking the back of Rohit's head. "I already told you, the rockets are mine. You only get the burning sticks."
Rohit, who was still soft and round like a fluffy ball, rubbed his head and looked up at her with big, innocent eyes.
"But Aisha… burning sticks are for girls. Rockets are dangerous. Please give them back to me."
Aisha rolled her eyes in annoyance and nudged Tanya, who was busy burning all of Rohit's burning sticks at once.
