Chapter 127 - Aunt Wang hadn't even returned to the balcony when.

*Ring ring!*

Jiang Ning's phone rang again. He glanced at the caller ID—another call from Kyoto.

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Teacher Jiang? This is Zheng Kailong, President of Qingbei University."

An elderly man's voice came from the other end.

"Hello, Principal Zheng. What can I do for you?" Jiang Ning cleared his throat.

"It's like this: last night, our Dance Academy instructors and I watched your livestream. We were deeply moved by your exquisite dance skills.

We unanimously agree that you possess an exceptional level of artistry, perhaps even reaching the legendary status of a Dance Grandmaster.

Therefore, on behalf of Qingbei University's Dance Academy, I sincerely invite you to become an Honorary Professor with our academy."

Principal Zheng's voice was filled with sincerity and anticipation.

Jiang Ning was slightly taken aback, clearly not expecting such a request. For a moment, he was speechless.

He naturally understood the significance of becoming an Honorary Professor, especially at Qingbei University—the nation's top institution. Su Meng herself had graduated from Qingbei's Dance Academy.

Every student admitted to Qingbei University was a future pillar of the Xia Kingdom.

Yet, Principal Zheng Kailong of Qingbei University had unexpectedly invited him to become an Honorary Professor.

"Principal Zheng, this... this is too sudden. I never imagined I'd receive such an invitation," Jiang Ning said slowly after composing himself. "I'm sure you've seen my information, so you know I'm currently focused on raising my child at home and don't have much time for teaching."

Principal Zheng Kailong laughed heartily. "Teacher Jiang, we understand your concerns. The Honorary Professor title is more of an honorific. You wouldn't be required to teach daily.

We simply hope that when you have time, you'll visit the school to share your dance insights and techniques with our students. Guidance from someone of your caliber would be invaluable.

Of course, if you prefer, you could also teach online."

Jiang Ning fell into deep contemplation.

On one hand, becoming an Honorary Professor at Qingbei University's Dance Academy was an undeniable honor. It would significantly boost his personal development and elevate his influence in the dance world.

On the other hand, if he joined the ranks of Qingbei University's Honorary Professors, more and more people would learn about his identity. Even though he now used a disguised face, he couldn't withstand the scrutiny of determined investigators. All he wanted was to live a quiet life and watch his daughter grow up.

"Principal Zheng, could you give me some time to consider this? This is a very important decision for me, and I need time to weigh the pros and cons," Jiang Ning said earnestly.

"Of course, Teacher Jiang. We understand your caution and respect your decision. Rest assured, this invitation remains open indefinitely. Contact me anytime when you've made up your mind," Principal Zheng Kailong replied in his usual warm and sincere tone.

"Thank you for your understanding and trust, Principal Zheng. I'll get back to you as soon as possible," Jiang Ning said before hanging up.

He stood in the living room, his brow furrowed, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts.

Just then, Mengmeng ran in from the balcony, holding a drawing and exclaiming excitedly, "Daddy, look! I'm finished!"

Jiang Ning snapped out of his reverie. Seeing Mengmeng's innocent and radiant smile, the weight in his heart instantly eased.

He took the painting and examined it carefully. The picture showed a family rowing a boat in the sea, surrounded by Mengmeng's adorable drawings of whales, dolphins, sea turtles, and various shells and jellyfish. Though the technique was still a bit immature, every brushstroke radiated childlike innocence and joy.

"Mengmeng, you're such a fantastic artist!" Jiang Ning praised with a smile. "Daddy loves this painting."

Mengmeng beamed and tugged at his sleeve. "Daddy, will you help me color it in?"

Jiang Ning patted her head and nodded. "Of course, I'll help you color it."

He temporarily set aside the invitation from Qingbei University and sat with Mengmeng at the desk. Picking up paintbrushes, they immersed themselves in the happy hours of painting together.

In that moment, Jiang Ning felt that accompanying his daughter's growth was the most important thing. As for everything else, he could ponder it later.

"Mengmeng, what color is the sky?" Jiang Ning asked, holding up a paintbrush.

Without hesitation, Mengmeng replied, "Blue."

"We have several shades of blue here—light blue, sky blue, dark blue, and gray-blue. Which one should we use?" Jiang Ning offered her a choice, encouraging her to express herself freely.

"Daddy, I choose light blue. But sometimes the sky is gray too, isn't it?"

"Mengmeng, are you saying the sky is sometimes sunny and sometimes cloudy and rainy, which is why it's gray?"

Mengmeng nodded. "Mm-hmm."

"Mengmeng, in this painting, when Daddy, Mommy, and you go boating on the sea, would you prefer to go when the weather is sunny or when it's about to rain?"

"Daddy, of course we'd go when the weather is nice! Hehe. Daddy, I know what color to use now!"

Mengmeng was very happy. She picked up the light blue paintbrush and began to color the sky very carefully.

*Ding-dong*

At that moment, the doorbell rang at the villa's iron gate.

"Mengmeng, keep coloring. I'll go answer the door," Jiang Ning said, standing up.

"Okay, Daddy. Go ahead and open it," Mengmeng replied without looking up, still focused on her coloring.

This put Jiang Ning at ease. One of Mengmeng's strengths was her intense concentration and meticulous observation when learning something new.

This was evident even when she played with puzzles, where she would examine each piece carefully.

When she did things, she was thorough and meticulous, as if afraid of making a mistake. This was particularly noticeable in her math problems and her drawings.

Jiang Ning was meticulous, whether it was with math problems or painting. He'd double-check his calculations on scratch paper, and with every brushstroke, he'd consider how to make it look even better.

He walked out of the villa to the iron gate in the yard and opened it.

A middle-aged woman stood at the gate, carrying a suitcase. She was neatly dressed, exuding an aura of competence and shrewdness.

"Hello, who are you looking for?" Jiang Ning asked, surprised.

"Hello, young master," the woman replied politely. "My name is Wang Cuihua. Miss Su called her father this morning, and he sent me over." Her demeanor clearly indicated she was educated, diligent, and possessed excellent manners.

"Oh, hello, Aunt Wang. Please come in," Jiang Ning said, quickly stepping aside.

Last night, Su Meng had mentioned Aunt Wang, and Jiang Ning had assumed she wouldn't arrive for a few days. He hadn't expected her to come so quickly.

Aunt Wang entered the yard, and Jiang Ning gently closed the iron gate.
