Martin stepped into the messy room with a pale face. He found Leo still supporting his weight on his hands on the floor, struggling to gather his remaining strength.
"I am sorry, sir. I just returned from the marketing division. I truly had no idea that Mr. Richard had come to see you so suddenly," Martin said in a tone full of regret. He immediately approached, hesitating as he reached out to help Leo stand.
Leo did not answer. He simply squeezed his eyes shut, trying to regulate his ragged, uneven breathing. His chest heaved rapidly while a cold sweat began to dampen his temples. After a few moments, he took a long, heavy breath and forced his body to rise, even though his legs still felt somewhat shaky.
Once his emotions appeared more stable, Leo gripped the edge of his desk tightly. He looked at Martin with a sharp gaze full of agitation.
