Leo remained frozen in the center of the police station lobby, ignoring the people bustling past him. His focus was entirely fixed on Martin, who appeared visibly restless.
"Mr. Wildblood prevented me from speaking further with Miss Celine, sir," Martin reported in a low voice. "He forced me out before I could show her the evidence on my phone."
Leo frowned, his jaw tightening at the mention of the name. "He prevented you? What do you mean? How could he possibly have the right to dictate who speaks to Celine?"
"It is more than that, sir," Martin continued, stepping slightly closer to ensure their conversation remained private. "Mr. Wildblood also seems to be intentionally hiding the facts regarding how Miss Celine actually arrived at his house that night. He is covering up the truth that you were the one who delivered her. I am not certain of his exact motive, but he appears extremely protective of Miss Celine."
