Background
Born with an unusually high midichlorian count that no one detected. His mother died in childbirth and his father was absent. A small group of Mandalorians took him in and raised him, teaching discipline, survival, and respect for strength and adaptability.
A Jedi later recognized his potential and brought him into the Order. He was apprenticed to Jedi Master Aric Jorath, who refined his natural Mirialan agility into a distinctive combat style. When Zarek prepared to leave formal training, the Mandalorians who raised him gifted him five ingots of pure beskar.
During the Old Republic's wars with the Sith he was given his own ship and a heavy load of missions. Over time the endless conflict eroded his willingness to serve as a weapon of the Order. At 26, after learning what he felt the Jedi could still teach him, he left for the Unknown Regions on his own terms.
Before departing, he had already begun using his Plant Surge ability for peaceful purposes. He started small carefully accelerating the growth of a single flower and steadily expanded the practice. On several Republic worlds he quietly helped local plant life grow faster to improve food yields, treating the work as both training and quiet service. The results were real and measurable.
