After getting a confirmation and a nod of approval from both of them, Raiden made up his mind.
"Alright...here goes nothing." Raiden took a deep breath and lifted his hand up, holding a knife in the other, ready to initiate the ceremony.
Bang!!
"Big brother, you still haven't arrived downstairs..." Sylvia's voice trailed off as she looked at him standing there with a knife in his hand.
"NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" Faster than he could blink, Sylvia jumped on top of Raiden, holding him while bawling her eyes out.
"Y-you meanie!!! Y-you said that y-you will stay with me and protect me forever!!! W-why are you trying to k-kill yourself!!! I won't let you!!!" Sylvia cried even more fiercely, holding on to his hands for dear life.
Hearing her words, Raiden didn't know whether to laugh or cry. How does this always happen to him??
After consoling Sylvia and taking a lot of time to explain and reassure her, he was finally able to get her to stop crying.
