A few weeks after he cleared the nest of demonic wraiths for a measly reimbursement of 100 credits, Kai, Uri and nine other teams who fell into the top 10 of Amunet's leaderboard were called into a meeting with the TA.
From whispered conversations before the meeting began, Kai gathered that a Demon had somehow infiltrated the lower district of the Capital Dome through an odd form of possession.
Over the past month there had been reports from other settlements in their area also, and the guild had likely, finally, pinpointed the source.
Kai didn't care for the why, he chose to attend the meeting for his own questions to be answered:
Where was it? How much would they give him to kill it? How dangerous was it?
While they waited, he leant back in his chair and let his mind wander as his eyes swept the table, absentmindedly flipping a small dagger between his fingers with startling dexterity.
