"Roar!"
The Abomination erupted with a world-shaking roar, his massive frame mutating further. In his fury, he threw a punch at the screen showing Makiya, shattering the carriage.
"Another one?" Makiya was currently controlling the giant sword when he suddenly heard a thunderous roar echoing from the distance. Turning his head, he saw a sickly green figure wreaking havoc in the military positions on the shore far away.
'That looks familiar. Not Hulk... it should be Abomination.'
The Hulk's arch-nemesis: the Abomination. His four-meter-tall body had surged to nearly five meters. Muscles coiled like pythons on his thick arms. He clasped his hands together and, with the momentum of ten thousand tons, smashed them down onto a tank beneath him.
The heavy tank instantly sank into the concrete ground. The frenzied Abomination ripped the deformed turret apart as if it were a toy. He snatched a soldier out of the tank with one hand like he was picking up a chick. Ignoring the man's desperate struggles, he let out a cruel grin and squeezed his fist, letting mangled flesh and blood drip through his fingers.
The Abomination, originally named Emil Blonsky, was a former Yugoslavian agent. He had also been co-opted by the 'freedom and democracy' of the great American Empire and, after being 'reformed,' joined the army to serve the military.
As he aged, Blonsky felt his body and his prostate were rebelling together. Every physical index dropped lower and lower; his body was failing day by day. Desperate to return to his peak, he injected himself with the Super Soldier Serum.
After receiving the enhancement, Blonsky felt invincible, believing he could easily crush his younger self with one hand. He was empowered, but he was also arrogant. His mindset was comparable to Sasuke Uchiha just after awakening the Mangekyo—utterly unaware that he was merely a frog at the bottom of a well.
During an operation to capture the Hulk, an overconfident Blonsky attempted to duel the Hulk one-on-one. The result was predictable: the Hulk swatted Blonsky away hundreds of meters with a casual punch, leaving him with pulverized bones across his entire body.
Unwilling to accept that his prideful strength had been so easily crushed and that his years of combat training were useless, Blonsky secretly injected himself with a sample of the Hulk's blood. The mutated blood, saturated with gamma radiation, completely transformed his body. Thus, the Abomination was born.
However, the mutation also amplified the evil buried deep within his heart. Compared to the Hulk, the Abomination's desire for destruction and aggression was far more intense.
Makiya gazed into the distance, staring at the military camp. The Abomination was rampaging through it, brutally crushing the fleeing American soldiers one by one. He even grinned as he opened his massive maw, tossing shredded flesh and blood into his mouth to chew, with segments of intestines dangling from between his jagged teeth.
This Abomination seemed far more savage than the ones Makiya had seen in the movies.
The Abomination let out a world-shaking roar, like the fury of an ancient titan. The sound waves caused the surrounding air to hum. He charged like a frenzied, divine bull, flipping tanks and armored vehicles. Bullets struck his skin, doing nothing but producing tiny sparks.
A tank hurriedly turned its turret, taking advantage of the Abomination's slaughter of the soldiers to fire its main gun. Once the fierce flare of the explosion dissipated, the Abomination stood completely unharmed, without even a white mark left on his body.
Tanks were flattened, attack helicopters were snatched from the air in a single leap, and armored vehicles were torn to shreds. The military's weaponry looked like toys before the Abomination, utterly defenseless.
The television audience was speechless, feeling as though the world they knew had become a stranger. What was happening today? First, a monster appeared that could control a flaming giant sword to down a Helicarrier, and now another even more brutal monster had emerged. Was the end of the world coming?
Audiences in New York watched the Abomination's appearance as dark memories resurfaced from the depths of their minds. The Abomination had once rampaged through the streets of New York, only to be defeated by another purple-clad giant. They had all assumed the Abomination was dead, but it turned out the creature was alive and well—and apparently even stronger.
"Damn government, they really are using taxpayer money to research monsters!"
The Abomination's roar reached thousands of homes through the news helicopter's broadcast. His fierce gaze looked down upon all creation. Tanks exploded around him, as if serving as a backdrop to his ferocity and peerless power.
Suddenly, the Abomination noticed Makiya standing in the sky, and he immediately recalled the voice that had been echoing in his ears like a demonic chant.
"Roar! Kill you!"
With a roar, the Abomination tore off the remaining scraps of his clothes and crouched low. His body coiled like a spring before he suddenly exerted force. His massive feet sank deep into the ground, pulverizing the surrounding rock.
His body shot out like a launched cannonball, hurtling directly toward Makiya.
Makiya's eyes narrowed slightly. He estimated that the Abomination was over four kilometers away. For that massive frame to close the distance with a single jump, his strength was truly terrifying.
However, if the Abomination thought he could lay a hand on him, he was gravely mistaken.
Sending out a clone to rush toward the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters under invisibility, Makiya's main body remained in place. A massive amount of dense Holy Light surged within him. Pure white feathers, appearing from nowhere, gathered behind him to form a pair of majestic holy wings with a three-meter span.
Golden patterns emerged from Makiya's palm, glowing brighter and brighter until they condensed into the outline of a massive hammer.
DNF Paladin Skill: Hammer of Repentance!
The Hammer of Repentance was composed of pure Holy Light, its surface flowing with mysterious runes. Each rune contained a powerful divine force, as if telling tales of ancient holy mountains and legends.
Makiya gripped the handle and gave it a few test swings. The five-meter-long hammer spun deftly in his hand. The weight was just right, and it felt excellent to swing.
The Abomination's body created violent friction with the air, the thunderous sound echoing across the battlefield. The five-meter-tall, burly body resembled an evil meteor, carrying an aura of destruction as it lunged at Makiya. His roar was so loud it dispersed the black clouds in the sky, and a foul stench wafted forward.
Makiya took aim, then raised the hammer and pulled back into a striking stance. At the moment the Abomination was about to arrive, he exploded with immense force. The Hammer of Repentance carried the momentum of ten thousand tons as it slammed down toward the Abomination. Its speed was so great that it tore through the air, creating a sharp, piercing whistle.
Though the Abomination's intelligence was near zero after his enhancement, his beastly combat instincts remained. Facing Makiya's heavy strike, he attempted to swing his fist to shatter Makiya's hammer, but it was all in vain.
The Hammer of Repentance, condensed from Holy Light, was born specifically to judge evil. Facing the wicked Abomination, the hammer performed beyond its limits. Its massive power was amplified repeatedly by the Holy Light as it collided violently with the incoming meteor-like Abomination.
Boom!
A visible white shockwave exploded from the point where the hammer met the fist. A deafening roar spread in all directions. The Abomination's body, like a kite with a broken string, flew backward at high speed, crashing headlong into the woods on the island of the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.
He snapped countless trees along the way, and his body plowed a deep furrow into the ground. Without slowing down, the Abomination's body smashed into the Potomac River like a cannonball with a thunderous blast.
The river water was blasted dozens of meters into the air, forming a massive water curtain. The Abomination's body slammed into the silt at the bottom of the river, splashing up a huge amount of water and mud.
The water droplets from the sky fell like rain, and the ripples on the river surface refused to settle for a long time. The Abomination seemed a bit dazed by the blow, as he failed to emerge.
As the shockwave dissipated, the television audience stared blankly at their screens, their faces full of shock. The hammer in Makiya's hand continued to emit a holy glow, and the military positions on the riverbank were still suffering from chain explosions. The just-invincible Abomination had been swatted away with a single hammer strike.
The burning wreckage of the Helicarrier on the ground was the best testament to Makiya's strength, but the audience no longer cared about that. They all stared wide-eyed at the pure white wings behind Makiya. Even through the screen, that holy aura made them want to bow down and worship.
"What's going on? Has God revealed himself? But the angel is Asian... this isn't scientific! And it's definitely not theological!"
The citizens' expressions were contorted. An angel from the East was even harder for them to accept than the idea of God being Black.
Devout believers had no choice but to accept reality, kneeling on the ground and praying sincerely, hoping that Makiya did not come from a certain ancient Eastern country.
Specifically, they were thinking of the 'White Elephant.'
At the thought that their future sacraments might turn into 'clean and hygienic' masala, the believers shuddered and prayed even more fervently. Compared to a yellow, urine-colored mush, they would much rather accept Chinese food.
The Military:
Seeing the trump card they had just managed to salvage, the Abomination, get swatted away by an enemy with a hammer, they suddenly felt like the Super Soldier program was nothing more than waste paper. If even an out-of-control Abomination couldn't beat the enemy, was there really a need to keep pushing this plan?
Yes, it was absolutely necessary. Otherwise, where would Agent Smith get his annual 'kickbacks'? If Agent Smith didn't take them, how would the Generals get theirs?
In fact, it was better the stronger the enemy was. Only with Makiya being this powerful would the 'big shots' in the Pentagon feel a sense of crisis, ensuring the funding would be overflowing.
Nick Fury:
He had originally intended to find Captain America and let the over-aged veteran once again shoulder the responsibility of saving the world, defeating one powerful enemy after another in a crisis-filled future. Now it seemed Captain America was outdated. His spirit might be worth utilizing, but his combat power was completely insufficient.
Pierce:
He suddenly lost all confidence in the Helicarriers beneath his feet. Could the Helicarrier fleet, even in full combat mode, really take down the opponent?
"It's time to prepare an exit strategy!"
Pierce glanced at his subordinates, saw that everyone was fully focused on the big screen, and quietly stepped back.
Meanwhile, Makiya's clone arrived at the underground hangar. He looked up and scanned the massive man-made facility, his expression full of wonder.
In his previous life as a science student, he was very interested in such mechanical creations. Although the Helicarrier was clunky, its massive design and sci-fi appearance were undeniably cool.
Except for those four mismatched turbofans.
A good education made it impossible for Makiya to do something as blatant as robbery. If only these two Helicarriers were abandoned items left on the ground with no owner... then he would be picking them up legally as ownerless property.
Suddenly, he struck his palm with his right fist as an idea flashed in his mind.
"This is America. Let's think about how the Anglo-Saxon ancestors did it... let's move the 'flexible' moral baseline."
"As long as I kill all the original inhabitants on the carriers, won't they be abandoned? It's just following local customs. At worst, I'll set today as Thanksgiving every year and establish a tradition of eating roasted snakes and braised eggs."
Plan successful.
Makiya rolled up his sleeves and started working.
The two Helicarriers were running, their massive engines humming, and the Hydra agents on board still had no idea what was about to happen.
Outside, the Potomac River suddenly exploded. The Abomination's massive body soared from the riverbed, lunging at Makiya once more with a face full of ferocity.
This guy didn't seem to learn. Makiya rubbed his hands and swung the hammer, exerting force in place.
Boom!
The shockwave erupted again. The golden holy hammer made intimate contact with the Abomination's head. His fierce face was twisted into a distorted 'derp' expression by the massive impact, and the Abomination flew backward into the river once again.
"Roar!"
The sickly green giant was quite defiant. The river water exploded, and mud flew everywhere as the Abomination leaped from the river bottom, only to take another hammer hit.
Jump again, hit again. Another jump, another hit...
After repeating this cycle five or six times, the massive impact seemed to have restored some of the Abomination's sanity. He suddenly let out a roar to push back the river water, and then...
He obediently crawled back onto the shore.
Makiya lowered his hammer with a look of disappointment. To be honest, this punching bag felt pretty good. Why did he have to suddenly wise up?
