The Dragon Clan's Ancient Legend of the Twin Dragon Sons
When Ethan learned that Tyrantrum had been named heir of Cloud Mountain Dragon Valley, he was genuinely stunned.
On the surface, the Pokémon world seemed ruled by survival of the fittest.
But in reality?
Regional rulers were almost always inherited.
Totem-level beings rarely failed to produce Totem-level descendants unless something catastrophic happened. Since Totems were scarce to begin with, leadership typically stayed within the same bloodline.
Dragon Lord didn't have many children.
But Hydreigon and Garchomp both possessed extraordinary potential.
Ethan was confident they could reach Divine-tier in the future.
Yet now—
Dragon Lord had chosen Tyrantrum as successor.
It didn't quite add up.
Still, Ethan patted Tyrantrum's head with a smile.
"Looks like you haven't slacked off lately."
"I brought some Antarctic delicacies. Consider it a reward."
"ROOOAAR!!"
Tyrantrum's thunderous roar scattered the clouds overhead.
Strength? Sure.
But food excited him far more.
Meanwhile, deep within the valley, several battered Dragon-types trembled.
They had personally experienced Tyrantrum's "management style."
They had no interest in a rematch.
Why Tyrantrum Became Heir
Dragon Lord greeted Ethan warmly.
He looked noticeably more relaxed.
Previously, as valley chief, Dragon Lord had handled disputes gently.
Too gently.
The stronger you are, the more patience you show—
the more certain individuals push boundaries.
Tyrantrum, on the other hand, believed in a simpler philosophy:
"You don't listen? I beat you until you do."
Totem-tier strength.
Training under Yanhuang.
Mastery of Heaven-and-Earth Origin Refinement.
In full burst mode, Tyrantrum could even contend with Dragon Lord himself.
The result?
The valley became… orderly.
Very orderly.
And Dragon Lord was free from endless headaches.
Hydreigon's Condition
Then Ethan turned toward Hydreigon.
She was enormous now—nearly five meters tall.
Her belly was round like an inflated balloon.
Ethan frowned slightly.
"That doesn't look like just one…"
Dragon reproduction was notoriously difficult.
Twins were almost unheard of.
Dragon Lord gave Ethan a knowing look.
Yes.
He suspected the same.
Possibly two.
Maybe even three.
The thought alone thrilled him.
If Tyrantrum and Hydreigon's offspring inherited their strength—
The other dragon dens would never hear the end of it.
Gifts for the Mother
Ethan approached Hydreigon with a warm smile.
"Long time no see. How are you feeling?"
Despite her fierce appearance, Hydreigon deeply respected Ethan.
She knew how much stronger she had become because of him.
Ethan produced two treasures:
Lucky Egg — Rich in life energy.Dragon Scale — Overflowing with pure Dragon-type energy.
Dragon Lord's eyes widened.
These were normally held for passive enhancement—
But Ethan's versions were consumable.
And absurdly potent.
Hydreigon swallowed them without hesitation.
BOOM.
Energy erupted within her body—
But none of it went to her.
It all flowed to the unborn child… or children.
Moments later—
Hydreigon cried out in pain.
Labor had begun.
The Birth
Even Dragon Lord froze for a moment.
Fortunately, Garchomp and Hydreigon's mother quickly took charge.
Ethan used his psychic power to stabilize Hydreigon's stamina.
Without assistance—
The energy surge might have overwhelmed her.
An hour later—
The egg was born.
And everyone fell silent.
It was massive.
Nearly 1.5 meters tall.
Far beyond the typical 30–60 cm range.
Dragon Lord blinked.
"…There's only one egg?"
Hydreigon confirmed.
Only one.
Dragon Lord stared at the enormous egg, both confused and thrilled.
Whatever was inside—
Would be extraordinary.
System Alert
Then Ethan heard it.
[Rainbow Opportunity Detected — Twin Dragon Heirs]
[×10,000 Critical]
[Nine-Color Opportunity]
Rainbow.
Not gold.
Rainbow.
Even Ethan was stunned.
Until now, gold-tier had been the highest natural opportunity.
The system explained:
This egg did not originate from a pre-system world state.
Because of Ethan's influence, his Pokémon's offspring now exceeded the world's original limits.
They had broken the ceiling.
Ethan smiled.
Of course.
If anyone was going to shatter rules—
It would be his team.
He turned to Tyrantrum.
"There are two children inside."
"You're going to be a father."
"Try being less reckless."
Tyrantrum nodded earnestly—
Then immediately implied he'd need Ethan's help.
Ethan laughed.
"Nice try. I haven't done this before either."
But he already knew—
He would be their trainer.
And their caretaker.
The Dragon Legend
Behind him, Dragon Lord trembled.
Two children.
One egg.
In Dragon lore—
That phenomenon had a name.
Twin Dragon Sons.
A prophecy.
When a single egg births two dragons—
They would ascend as Dragon Gods.
Dragon Lord swallowed hard.
Did that mean—
He was about to become grandfather to future Dragon Gods?
His chest swelled.
Let the other dragon dens laugh now.
Cloud Mountain Dragon Valley would soon stand above them all.
