"Haa… I'm full. Totally full."
Maybe because she'd lost so much blood, Tsunade devoured an entire roast chicken—she didn't even spare the head or the tail.
After tossing the last chicken bones into the fire, Tsunade—high off food—wore a deeply satisfied expression.
Watching Tsunade's mouth glistening with grease, Gojo Yoru somehow produced a flask of alcohol in his hand and said with a grin, "Now that you're full, want some booze too?"
The moment Tsunade saw the flask gently swaying in Yoru's hand, her eyes lit up and she shouted excitedly, "Give it to me—hurry!"
The wording was wildly suggestive. If she weren't clinging to the last shred of "adult dignity," she probably would've pounced like a puppy.
Yoru didn't tease her further and simply tossed it over.
"Hah…"
Tsunade caught it, twisted it open, and tilted her head back for a huge gulp. Her expression shifted from "satisfied" to "bliss."
Yoru smiled. "So you're not angry anymore?"
In a great mood, Tsunade only shot him another white-eyed glare and kept drinking. "Since you're being sensible, I'll forgive you… barely."
"So should I say thank you?" Yoru teased. "Oh right— I still haven't said 'thanks for the treat' the second time."
"Pff—!"
Tsunade instantly sprayed, choking hard and coughing repeatedly.
Not even bothering to catch her breath, she glared at Yoru with killing intent. "Brat, do you believe I'll kill you?!"
Her face was bright red—whether from choking or embarrassment was unclear.
"Yes, yes—how terrifying…"
Yoru raised his hands and nodded, but his tone was extremely punchable.
Thinking about how she carried his Flying Thunder God kunai on her, Tsunade had nowhere to vent. She could only grit her teeth and glare.
That snarling look was strangely similar to Kushina—like an adult version of her.
Yoru knew when to stop. His expression turned serious as he changed the topic.
"You've been unconscious for hours. And we were seen by Hanzō. Plus, the bamboo grove still has my Flying Thunder God kunai and marks. Our identities and jutsu have probably been exposed and spread already."
"Just like you said, Tsunade-sama—Konoha is effectively declaring war on Amegakure. Did the cost buy an equal gain?"
Tsunade understood immediately and answered just as seriously:
"That underground base wasn't looted. It had herbs, medicines, equipment, and a formula section. It really is a pharmaceutical workshop."
"I had Katsuyu-sama transfer most of it to Shikkotsu Forest."
"If there's a formula in there, even if it's split into hundreds of pieces, give me one bottle of antidote and time, and I can reconstruct it."
"And even if there's no written formula, as long as we confirm those medicines include antidote in sufficient quantity, I still only need time to develop the formula to counter the salamander poison."
Tsunade's tone was full of confidence. "I already know what toxins are in the salamander poison. Even starting from zero, I can develop the formula faster than that old hag Chiyo."
"Then we should return and report to Orochimaru-sensei and the others," Yoru proposed. "I'm worried that if we delay, things might change."
Since they were already exposed, Tsunade nodded. "Yes, we need to notify them quickly. Wait here a moment."
She rolled up her sleeves, glared at Yoru as she looked at the wristband storage scrolls still on her body, and threatened, "Turn around. If you peek, I'll kill you!"
"Tsunade-sama, you're slandering me again," Yoru complained. "If I wanted to look, I would've already seen plenty when I treated you—and you wouldn't even know if I did something worse."
"You did?!" Tsunade's killing intent flared.
"It's a metaphor. A metaphor…" Yoru played his most lethal card. "I'm still a child. And you're accusing a child. Are you a pervert?"
Tsunade, a medic-nin, seemed to think of something. Her momentum instantly weakened as she looked at Yoru—who was now slightly taller than her—and grumbled, "With your height, who would believe you're a kid?"
"Apologize. Hurry up and apologize."
"Apologize my ass. Turn around."
Tsunade lifted a fist and threatened with forced ferocity.
Yoru turned around with full contempt.
A "balloon popping" sound quickly came from behind him.
A moment later, an arm suddenly lunged from behind and locked around Yoru's neck.
"As expected, if I don't beat you up a bit, I can't get this anger out," Tsunade complained as she applied the choke. "You're younger than my little brother, yet your mouth is this foul. I don't know what Kushina sees in you."
"Violent woman. That's ungrateful."
Yoru blinked out of the choke and slapped Tsunade on the head.
"You actually dared to hit me?" Tsunade held her head, staring at him in disbelief.
"What, I'm not allowed to hit back?" Yoru said righteously. "Don't think being an adult lets you act unreasonable. If I don't like it, I won't give you face."
"Then let me see what you've got!"
Tsunade threw a punch—still hit nothing.
This time she was prepared. She yanked her force back and spun, blasting her remaining strength behind her—
Still nothing.
Smack! A slap came from her left, snapping her head to the side.
Yoru wore a mocking smile. "Violent woman, are you performing acrobatics for me?"
"Damn Flying Thunder God—why did Second Grandpa invent such a disgusting jutsu?"
Tsunade broke. She pulled out the Flying Thunder God kunai and slammed it onto the ground.
Then she crossed her arms, puffed up, and glared at Yoru. "Brat, do you dare stand still and let me punch you once?"
"This is so childish—did our ages get swapped?" Yoru rolled his eyes and urged, "Enough playing. We still have to go report to Orochimaru-sensei and the others."
With no adult authority left in front of Yoru, Tsunade resigned herself and picked up the Flying Thunder God kunai. She walked over and threatened through gritted teeth:
"Remember this: everything that happened here—you're not allowed to tell a second person. If you do, I'll kill you."
"I respond to kindness, not threats," Yoru said darkly. "If you keep terrifying me like this, I'll have nightmares every day and accidentally talk in my sleep."
A red "anger mark" bulged on Tsunade's forehead. Her smile turned stiff.
"…Please keep it secret for me. Don't tell anyone about today—especially the humiliating parts. Don't let Orochimaru, Kushina, or Sarutobi-sensei and the others know."
"Oh, so you can speak nicely. Not bad, not bad…"
Using his height advantage, Yoru patted Tsunade's shoulder like an elder, wearing a proud, satisfied expression—clearly about to ignite the powder keg again.
Before Tsunade exploded, Yoru dumped a bucket of cold water on it.
"We're teleporting. Control your face."
Tsunade immediately put on a serious expression, and she and Yoru vanished from the cave.
