He looked surprised at her words, as he hadn't expected Seraphine to mention that, but since she did, then it was best that they got this whole thing out in the open and talked about it as openly as possible.
Seraphine saw Aurelian's expression, knew what he was thinking, and decided to tell him her own thoughts on the matter.
"Our families had an agreement about our marriage before we were even born. But the reason why we have been betrothed to each other is because of the benefits both parties will receive upon the marriage being carried out, as your family has more resources, while my family has the higher prestige within the noble families."
Aurelian heard her words and nodded. "That makes sense. I assume you know that if we marry, then both of us will benefit a lot from the union?"
