Then, Miki's Eeveelutions suddenly gathered together. At that moment, Jolteon and Flareon merged into a single Pokémon.
Dark golden lightning patterns appeared across its body, while its fur remained a deep crimson color.
At that moment, the fused Eeveelution became a Thunder-Flareon, and its strength instantly rose to the peak of the Champion level.
Sure enough, this was Miki's true strength.
Thunder-Flareon immediately launched another attack. A stream of flames shot from its mouth, but sparks crackled throughout the fire, making the attack even more terrifying.
Sam remained calm. Charizard X immediately unleashed a stream of flames of its own.
The Flamethrower, enhanced by the melting power of the Four-Tails, reached an extremely high temperature.
The two streams of fire collided.
However, in the next moment, Charizard's flames were overwhelmed. The lightning mixed within Thunder-Flareon's fire generated an even higher temperature, surpassing even the power of the molten flames.
Sam immediately ordered Tyranitar to raise a defensive wall.
The powerful barrier infused with Shukaku's power was incredibly sturdy, barely managing to block the scorching flames.
Even so, it required the full defensive strength of the One-Tail's power to withstand the attack.
An ordinary sand wall would have been completely destroyed.
Sam's expression grew serious.
It seemed Miki's Flareon was far stronger than he had anticipated.
The spectators were stunned.
Thunder-Flareon was simply too powerful.
Furthermore, very few people had ever heard of Pokémon fusion.
Some veteran Trainers knew that if two Pokémon possessed highly compatible abilities, fusion was theoretically possible. However, the success rate was incredibly low, and failure could permanently damage both Pokémon.
If successful, the result would become a special fusion technique unique to those Pokémon.
Because many Trainers had once attempted forced fusions, causing irreversible harm to countless Pokémon, the practice had been strictly prohibited by all major Pokémon Leagues.
Yet somehow, Miki had succeeded.
At that moment, however, Sam had no time to think about such things.
His only goal was to defeat Thunder-Flareon.
He knew a direct confrontation was unwise.
Charizard spread its wings and took to the sky.
Meanwhile, Tyranitar unleashed Shukaku's power across the battlefield. Endless sand surged toward Thunder-Flareon and Umbreon.
Enhanced by Shukaku's abilities, the sand spread across the field, greatly restricting the movements of Miki's Pokémon, which were already weaker than Tyranitar.
"Flame Dragon!"
Suddenly, Thunder-Flareon raised its head and unleashed Fire Blast.
This Fire Blast was completely different from an ordinary one.
Although it appeared to be a Fire-type attack, it contained the ultimate power of lightning as well.
The attack shot into the sky.
Even Charizard X, empowered by the tailed beast's power, could not fully withstand it. The blazing heat scorched its body, leaving visible burn marks.
Sam immediately understood.
At its current strength, Charizard X could not overpower Thunder-Flareon.
Thunder-Flareon was simply stronger.
However, Sam still held one advantage.
He had three Pokémon on the field, while Miki effectively had only two.
He glanced around the battlefield and suddenly realized something.
Gengar was nowhere to be seen.
Damn it, did that guy run off again?
Just as the thought crossed his mind, a black shadow flashed behind Thunder-Flareon.
It was Gengar.
The Ghost Pokémon had been preparing a sneak attack all along.
Sam's eyes lit up.
But before Gengar could strike, another figure appeared.
It was Umbreon.
Of course.
Miki had deliberately left Umbreon behind to guard against Gengar's ambushes.
Gengar looked annoyed and immediately charged toward Umbreon.
The two Dark-type Pokémon instantly became entangled in battle.
At this point, all Sam could do was rely on Charizard X and Tyranitar to defeat Thunder-Flareon.
"Sand Binding Coffin!" Sam shouted.
Countless grains of fine sand erupted from the ground and wrapped around Thunder-Flareon, tightly restraining its body.
However, in the very next moment, black flames erupted from Thunder-Flareon's body.
The intense heat instantly melted the sand away.
What terrifying temperature!
Normally, sand-type techniques were highly effective against Fire-type attacks.
Yet Thunder-Flareon had simply burned through them.
Sam was not discouraged. Instead, he immediately launched another attack.
"Sandstorm Jizo!"
