Chapter 364 - Chapter 364 The Battle of New York (DC Version)

Above the center of Metropolis, a massive spaceship was hovering; its design looked like a claw from a crane game magnified countless times.

The citizens below looked up in unison, many already pulling out their phones, some even immediately taking photos to post on social media.

One could only say the citizens of Metropolis hadn't seen much of the world.

If it were the citizens of New York City in Darian's main server, they would have started sprinting in the opposite direction within fractions of a second of seeing the UFO, without even looking back.

Nothing else, just familiarity.

The giant spaceship in the sky suddenly had new activity.

A circular crack slowly spiraled open at its bottom, blue-white light gathering frantically at the core, its brightness climbing rapidly.

Boom—!

A thick pillar of blue energy slammed straight into the ground, outputting continuously, with no intention of stopping.

The glass windows on the street bore the brunt, bursting simultaneously under the pressure of the shockwave, countless shards of glass turning into a waterfall, pouring down from mid-air.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Earth, an identical scene was unfolding simultaneously.

The energy released by the two world engines pierced through the entire Planet, beginning to exchange and circulate, injecting particulate matter into the atmosphere while increasing Earth's mass, gradually transforming the Planet from the inside to the surface.

As for Metropolis, with the Impact point of the light beam as the center, the gravity field began to distort.

All objects within the range seemed to suddenly lose the restraint of gravity, all floating high into the sky.

Immediately after, the gravity field flipped abruptly.

Everything floating in the air was slammed back to the ground by a force far exceeding Earth's gravity.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom—!

Continuous Impact sounds exploded into a mass, and a huge cloud of dust spread rapidly along the street like a tsunami, swallowing the surrounding blocks.

The citizens finally reacted.

Screams and cries rose one after another, the crowd began to flee frantically, and the scene was completely out of control.

Soon, the American Air Force arrived at the scene.

Several F-35 fighter jets dived out of the clouds, locking onto the world engine hovering in mid-air; flashes of fire appeared beneath their wings, and multiple missiles dragging white smoke headed straight for the target.

However, as soon as the missiles entered the distorted range of the gravity field, their flight paths immediately deviated from the intended route, eventually crashing into the ground, exploding into clusters of fire amidst the ruins.

The Kryptonian counterattack came just as quickly.

Several small spaceships ejected from the armored shell of the world engine, immediately locking onto the F-35 fleet in the air, energy cannons firing in succession, destroying the entire fleet.

The entire sky was illuminated by dense explosions, offering an expensive fireworks show for the alien friends.

But this was just the beginning.

The chaos on the ground continued to escalate.

The energy beam of the world engine was not a one-time release, but bombarded repeatedly at a fixed frequency.

With each round of energy pouring out, the coverage of the gravity field expanded significantly.

Objects within the range were repeatedly lifted and smashed, buildings collapsed, and the entire area had been ground into ruins, completely unrecognizable from the city's original appearance.

Just then, a thick energy beam shot out from the distant skyline, accurately hitting a small Kryptonian spaceship.

Rumble—!

The energy shield on the surface of that ship shattered instantly, and the energy beam pierced through the entire hull with unabated momentum, the ship then exploding into a ball of fire and crashing to the ground.

Everyone subconsciously looked toward the source of the energy beam.

In the distant sky, black wings cut through the rolling smoke and dust, and a sharp-looking Batwing was flying over rapidly.

But what really kept everyone's eyes glued was the equipment under its belly.

It was a huge, thick cannon barrel, with two round energy furnaces connected to the end of the barrel, one on the left and one on the right, bulging and plump, the overall style full of masculine beauty.

Anyone who looked up and saw this fighter jet couldn't help but sigh from the bottom of their heart.

"This Bat-boy really has style!"

The technological level of the Kryptonian ships was far beyond Earth's; conventional thermal weapons couldn't even scratch their shields.

So Darian took out the Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon and installed it directly on the hardpoint under the Batwing's belly to significantly increase the fighter's firepower output.

The effect was very significant.

It's just that the originally cool Bat-style, after hanging this cannon, looked like it was indecent in public; one look and it was an eyesore.

Darian sat in the cockpit and said with a frank expression: "To protect Earth, what does losing a little image matter? Don't you think so, Bat-boy?"

Bruce: "..."

You certainly don't care, who the hell doesn't know this is my fighter!

Other small Kryptonian ships simultaneously noticed this suddenly appearing Batwing, and were greatly shocked.

Is the aesthetic style of Earthlings this wild?

They quickly snapped out of it, suppressed the shock in their hearts, and simultaneously launched a dense attack on the Batwing.

Several energy cannons shot from different angles, sealing off almost all evasion routes.

But Bruce's max-level evasion skill could not only work on himself, but also be perfectly reflected in his piloting skills.

The Batwing performed several inconceivable rotations and sideslips in the air, the fuselage passing through the gaps of the energy cannons by a hair's breadth, every movement as precise as if calculated in advance.

Rumble—!

Another thick energy beam shot out from the cannon under the Bat's crotch, hitting the Kryptonian spaceship attempting to flank from the side head-on.

Seeing the Batwing was so troublesome, the Kryptonians decisively brought out their strongest weapon.

That was themselves.

Just as Darian expected, General Zod had already discovered the secret of the Sun, and immediately had himself and his subordinates remove their Kryptonian armor helmets, collectively taking a sunbath.

They were all born warriors with extremely strong adaptability.

After a brief moment of pain, they had already adapted to Earth's environment, absorbing solar energy while continuously strengthening themselves.

Especially General Zod and his adjutant Faora, whose genes were superior, mastering their own abilities faster than other Kryptonians.

General Zod went to the North Pole alone to find the Kryptonian ship left on Earth.

That was the Kryptonian scout ship 0344, one of the many immigrant ships launched by the Kryptonian civilization to various parts of the Universe during the Great Expansion era twenty thousand years ago.

It was Clark who originally activated this ship, which allowed General Zod and the others to capture the signal and lock onto Earth's location.

Most importantly, the ship contained the Genesis Chamber capable of rapidly breeding Kryptonians.

After Krypton was destroyed, this was the only Genesis Chamber for their entire race, and also their last hope for reproduction; to ensure nothing went wrong, General Zod chose to go personally.

As for the world engine in the Northern Hemisphere, it was left to Faora to command in full.

A figure flew out of the world engine, hovering in mid-air, staring at the Batwing with cold eyes.

It was Faora, whom Darian had met before.

At this moment, she had clearly mastered the ability to fly, easily achieving what it took Clark decades to do.

However, this couldn't entirely be blamed on Clark being weak; after all, he never expected that humanoid creatures could fly out of thin air; common sense limited his imagination.

And it was precisely after seeing Clark's abilities that Faora followed suit and mastered the ability to fly.

"This is troublesome."

Bruce frowned when he saw Faora's posture.

His fighter couldn't withstand the Kryptonians.

Darian said without hesitation: "Leave her to me."

Bruce looked serious: "Are you sure? The environment here isn't suitable for you to fight."

As far as he knew, Darian couldn't fly, and even with the spider-man suit, he could only rely on swinging spider silk for high-altitude movement.

But they were currently at an altitude of several hundred meters; where would there be anything to serve as an anchor point for the spider silk?

It's not like it can stick to the clouds.

Darian didn't explain, and opened the rear hatch directly.

"Watch closely, Bat-boy, this move was originally intended for you."

As his words fell, he leaped down directly, falling with the wind.

Faora recognized at a glance that Darian was the Earthling who killed Nam-Ek.

Seeing Darian take the initiative to jump from the fighter, she wasn't stupid enough to think Darian was committing suicide; he must have prepared some trump card.

Faora flew towards Darian at high speed without hesitation, intending to intercept and kill him before Darian could use his means.

However, before she could get close, Darian suddenly opened his arms and shouted loudly.

"Armor Combine!"

In an instant, a silver humanoid armor with sharp lines appeared on Darian, gradually solidifying from the void.

The energy core on the chest suddenly lit up, and the entire armor burst out with blinding blue light.

Without any pre-swing action, the light source on the chest bloomed with a boom, and a thick energy beam blasted onto Faora head-on, the huge Impact force carrying her all the way to the ground.

Boom—!

Faora's back slammed hard into the ruins, rubble and concrete blocks splashing in all directions, the shockwave blowing away all remaining building fragments within tens of meters.

The ground was smashed into a shallow pit with a diameter of more than ten meters, cracks extending in all directions like a spider web along the edge of the pit, and dust rose into the sky.

Darian hovered in mid-air, the silver armor reflecting a cold luster in the sunlight.

Bruce: "..."

You really think highly of me.

I am a Kryptonian(Pay-to-win), not a Kryptonian, is this necessary?

The dust and smoke gradually dissipated, and Faora slowly stood up from the bottom of the pit.

The Kryptonian armor on her body had suffered quite a bit of damage, the place hit by the energy beam even charred, but she herself was unharmed.

Nowadays, her physical fitness had surpassed the Kryptonian armor; for her, this armor was just equivalent to a piece of clothing.

Faora looked up, locking her gaze on Darian in the high sky, and spoke coldly.

"No one can stop Krypton from becoming great again."

Boom!

The ground under her feet exploded with a bang.

She took off from the ground, rushing towards Darian at a speed almost invisible to the naked eye.

At the same instant, red light suddenly bloomed in her eyes, and two scorching red light beams tore through the air, piercing straight at Darian's face.

Darian did not dodge.

He extended both hands forward simultaneously, shooting two straight blue energy beams from his palms, meeting her head-on.

The red and blue beams collided violently in mid-air, a ball of blinding light exploding at the intersection.

Just at the moment when the light was most intense, Faora suddenly retracted her heat vision.

She dodged to the side, her figure approaching rapidly along the edge of the blue energy beam, and in the blink of an eye, she reached in front of Darian, her right fist wrapped in a sonic boom, smashing over fiercely.

Darian crossed his hands to block in front of his chest.

The fist slammed into his crossed arms, a terrifying force penetrating the armor and conducting inside, and he flew out horizontally, tumbling for a full hundred meters in the air before barely stabilizing his figure.

And on his arm, a fist mark was clearly visible, leaving a shallow dent.

The stats of Kryptonians are indeed outrageous.

If the defense of the ultron armor hadn't been strong enough, I'm afraid this punch would have broken through my defenses.

Before Darian could catch his breath, Faora's figure flashed in front of him again, her right fist already pulled behind her, fully charged with power, smashing straight towards Darian's head.

Dead Eye!

Darian's pupils shrank, Faora's movements slowed down instantly, and he immediately tilted his head to avoid the fist.

Immediately after, he used the inertia of his sideways movement, bent his right arm, and delivered a metal elbow strike to Faora's chest.

Faora groaned, clutching her chest as she flew backward for several kilometers.

Darian retracted his elbow, unable to help but exclaim: "So flat... ah no, so hard, did you secretly stuff steel plates in this chest?"

Faora: "..."

The damage isn't great, but the humiliation is extreme.

Faora's eyes became increasingly cold, she didn't speak, just attacked again.

After absorbing solar energy, her speed was clearly a notch faster, much faster than when she fought Clark.

Even though the performance of the ultron armor was raised to the limit, it still couldn't keep up with Faora's speed, and several fist marks instantly appeared on Darian's body.

Darian seized a gap where Faora retracted her fist and smashed his right fist over.

The moment his right fist blasted out, a blinding white light suddenly lit up on the back of his fist.

"Solar Flare!"

The fist applying the Light Spell effect was incomparably dazzling.

Even for Kryptonians who could stare directly at the Sun, under such unprepared close-range strong light stimulation, her movements were inevitably a beat slower, and the continuity of her attacks developed cracks.

Taking this opportunity, Kryptonite appeared out of thin air in Darian's right hand, and he smashed it towards Faora's face.

The moment the Kryptonite appeared, Faora felt a sudden wave of weakness, as if the Fengying Yueling hanging in the background had suddenly been turned off, the illusion of being omnipotent while bathing in the Sun quietly faded, and her reactions slowed down by several beats.

Before her eyes, which had just adapted to the strong light, could refocus, Darian's fist had already followed up, hitting her face squarely.

Boom!

Accompanied by a huge collision sound, Faora flew out immediately, the ultron armor's engines firing at full power, Darian quickly chasing the trajectory of Faora's backward flight, his right fist lighting up with blinding white light, fully charged with power and smashing out.

Charged Punch!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom—!

Darian showed no mercy, chasing Faora with a series of brutal charged punches.

Finally, he appeared directly above Faora, clasped his fists together and held them high above his head, turning them into a heavy hammer and smashing them onto Faora's head.

Faora turned into an afterimage and fell straight down, smashing into a dilapidated office building below, directly piercing through the entire building.

Rumble—!

The whole building made continuous dull breaking sounds, collapsing layer by layer from the top, raising rolling gray-white dust waves that rushed into mid-air.

Faora struggled to get up from the ruins, gritting her teeth and saying: "As a warrior, you don't dare to fight head-on, only knowing how to play dirty tricks, what kind of skill is that?"

"I am a mage, not a warrior."

Darian descended from the sky, his palms already fully charged with energy again, aimed at Faora.

What warrior spirit, it doesn't exist.

I have to strike while you're down.

Zzz—!

The next moment, four heat rays shot out from two directions, blasting Darian away.

When Darian stabilized his figure, he saw two Kryptonian warriors walking towards him; they were the pilots of the two ships Bruce had destroyed at the beginning.

They couldn't fly like Faora, so they had been waiting for an opportunity on the ground.

Darian snorted coldly: "Evil Kryptonians, not a bit of warrior spirit, what kind of skill is gang fighting, have the guts to come out and fight one-on-one."
