The night was unusually silent.
No sound of wind…
No rustling of leaves…
Just a strange emptiness, as if the world had paused its breath for a moment.
Moonlight fell upon the ground—sometimes faint, sometimes sharp.
Clouds repeatedly covered it, then drifted away.
As if the moon itself couldn't decide… whether to give light, or let darkness remain.
Deep beneath the ground, within layers of stone, lay a vast hall.
Old chandeliers hung from the high ceiling, their light dim and weary.
Engravings covered the walls—some like sculptures, others as if centuries of history were sealed within them.
Massive stone pillars rose from the ground to the ceiling, as though the weight of the entire world rested upon them.
At the center of the hall stood a round table.
Twenty-one chairs were arranged around it.
At the table's center rested a transparent crystal ball, faint light drifting across its surface—as if it saw everything, knew everything.
Every chair was occupied.
Figures cloaked in dark red coats—their faces completely hidden.
No one moved. No one spoke.
Only the faint sound of breathing… and silence.
Agis Covenant
On a large chair placed slightly above the round table sat an elderly figure.
His voice was low, heavy, and aged—
"Raijin… is no longer in this world."
The words didn't echo through the hall…
They simply fell.
And the silence deepened.
After a few moments, the same voice rose again—
"He was killed by the Servant of the Earth God."
This time, the silence turned into fear.
Someone tightened their grip on their chair.
Someone's fingers froze upon the table.
After a while, a young voice spoke—filled with eagerness, almost impatience.
"Did… they say anything about it? I mean—"
There was no fear in his eyes—
Only… curiosity.
The elderly voice cut him off.
"What you said was already enough. There is no need to speak further."
The others in the hall turned toward the young man.
No words…
But their gazes said everything—
Do not cross the line.
Silence returned.
Heavy… oppressive… thinking.
A figure seated level with the high chair raised their head.
"Did any of them show a reaction?"
The elderly figure above—Zenith—replied calmly,
"No. None of them did."
The figure beside the high seat—Eclipse—spoke,
"Then… that means they all agreed."
"In truth, Raijin was a threat to all of them."
After a pause, he asked again,
"Have you completely confirmed… that he is truly dead?"
There was no hesitation in Zenith's voice.
"I have verified it. He is dead."
No one had anything left to say.
The hall accepted that truth—whether willingly… or not.
After a while, the same eager voice spoke again.
His name was Cipher.
"So… what should we do next…?"
Silence returned once more—
But this time, it wasn't empty.
It held fear…
Agreement…
And an unspoken decision.
---
Soft yellow sunlight touched the ground.
Moisture on the grass shimmered in the light, as if the night had not fully left.
Between trees standing at some distance from each other, beneath one of them, three people sat.
There was no fatigue on their faces—only deep despair.
As if they had lost too much in a single day.
Sofiya spoke softly,
"Is he really… gone forever?"
Her voice no longer carried its usual energy.
No curiosity, no faint smile—
Only emptiness.
As if something had been taken from within her.
Something… she would never get back.
Silence spread all around.
Even the wind seemed afraid to respond.
Ishan and Kade slowly stood up.
They extended a hand toward Sofiya.
Sofiya glanced at them—
Then lowered her gaze.
"Leave me alone…" she whispered.
The two exchanged a brief look—
Then stepped away without a word.
Bathed in the golden hue of sunlight, they began walking back toward Mournvale—
While Sofiya remained beneath the tree.
As if time had stopped… just for her.
---
Eldhavn City
A simple room.
Soft light entered through two windows on the front wall.
A wooden table stood before them, scattered with papers.
Behind the table—
A chair.
And seated on it, a man.
A deep scar marked his face—
Running from his right eye down to his left cheek.
He sat still—
But his eyes… were waiting.
A knock sounded at the door.
"Come in," Zenn said.
The door opened.
Emi entered.
She placed the papers on the table—
And stood silently.
Zenn picked them up.
Began reading.
A few moments later—
His fingers stopped.
He slowly placed the papers back down.
The air in the room grew heavy.
Emi asked softly,
"What happened, Master?"
Without looking at her, Zenn said—
"Raijin… has been killed."
Emi's eyes widened.
"Master… did you perhaps take the wrong documents by mistake—"
Zenn shook his head—
And handed the papers to her.
Emi read.
Her voice gradually fell silent.
Silence returned to the room.
After a while, Zenn spoke—
"Prepare a Golden Slate."
Emi nodded—
And left.
This time—
His name would not be written on stone.
Zenn remained alone.
His gaze was on the table—
But he wasn't seeing anything.
---
The fading sunlight could barely cling to the ground now.
Tall bushes…
And among them, graves.
Each stone held a name.
A story.
An end.
Among those graves—
Two figures stood before one.
Kade spoke softly,
"I can't believe it… Until yesterday, we were traveling with him—
And today, he's no longer in this world."
Ishan simply nodded.
His gaze remained fixed on the name carved into the stone.
"I didn't know… he would leave so suddenly."
A gentle breeze passed.
The grass bent.
The last ray of sunlight fell upon the stone—
And rested on the name.
Raijin.
And then… slowly… it slipped away.
