Chapter 156 - Chapter 156 Mu Yichuan's Brain Damage?!

"Brother Cheng Che, is this how you treat me!" Nan Ya stared at Cheng Che with a sinister look. She wasn't afraid of him; she had given him the best years of her life, and now he wanted to get rid of her? No way!

He gently stroked Nan Ya's eyes, his tone soft, "Ya Ya, don't you know my heart?"

Nan Ya remained silent. Of course, she knew what Cheng Che's heart was like—black-hearted! Utterly black and perverted!

Just like her!

"Ya Ya, in the end, you'll always be the one to walk with me!" Cheng Che said, tearing off Nan Ya's clothes and using a move that always worked on her, pinning her down. But he didn't rush to attack; instead, he pressed close, constantly whispering sweet nothings.

"Mmm... Brother Cheng Che, you're the worst..." Nan Ya writhed ungracefully, her red, alluring nails leaving deep marks on Cheng Che's back. "I want..."

After several rounds of entanglement, Nan Ya lay naked on the bed, not even covered by a blanket.

Cheng Che had already left due to urgent business, leaving only the coldness of the room.

Nan Ya didn't rush to get up. Her face, staring at the ceiling, gradually turned wicked, finally squeezing out a sinister smile. "Henhen... what an intimate nickname!"

After lying there for a while, she turned over, grabbed her phone from the bedside table, and dialed.

"Brother Che." The extremely sweet voice made Liu Hen pause on the other end of the line, her heart instantly torn apart. "Brother Che, you're so bad! How are you going to make it up to me?"

Each soft question was a reproach. Liu Hen recognized the woman who had cried out beneath Cheng Che that night. She had initially wanted to refuse the call, but inexplicably, she decided to listen.

Nan Ya sneered inwardly, continuing nonchalantly, "Brother Che, why aren't you saying anything? I'm not dressed yet, I'm too weak, can you help me..."

Liu Hen bit his lip tightly, his eyes behind his thick glasses filled with suppressed resentment. He tried to take the phone away from his ear, but it felt like a ton of weight.

"Brother Che, last night you said you wanted me to wait for you in your bridal chamber tonight. Aren't you afraid that dull-witted young lady will find out?" Nan Ya was genuinely bored. After listening for so long without a word, she was ready to blurt it out. "Brother Che, if you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes. Bye!"

Liu Hen remained on the phone for a long time.

Then she sat down at the computer...

After hanging up, Nan Ya called Gao Min again. "What are you doing? There's an operation tonight. Go find the boss and tell her to get me a few burly men, let them taste the bitterness of dead fish."

"Where should they go directly?" Gao Min didn't dare ask anything more than the most important question.

"Hello, hello, why is there no signal?" Nan Ya hung up the phone and tried calling again four or five times, but couldn't get through. "Damn it! I have to do it myself!"

Liu Hen, sitting at the computer, pushed up her thick glasses and continued typing rapidly, her smile growing wider.

The midday sun was bright and glaring. She took off her glasses, looking at the blurry world…

Dead fish? Had Cheng Che complained to Nan Ya about this?

"Master, Master, the S country's proxy website needs an update." The small software on the computer clamored, urging Liu Hen to act.

She was still somewhat bewildered and resentful, even forgetting to put on her glasses. She sat down and pressed Enter.

"Master, operation error. Please undo the operation as soon as possible, otherwise the website will experience system instability…"

*Snap!*

Liu Hen slammed the computer shut.

Her head was about to explode. She didn't care about anything else; her only thought was to ensure Nan Ya would never recover.

...

When Xin Yu received Mu Yi'ai's call, she was stunned for a full half minute. "You... Mu Yi'ai? Where did you say we should meet?"

"The outdoor cafe at World Trade Center," she repeated impatiently, then hung up immediately.

When Xin Yu arrived, Mu Yi'ai was already enjoying her delicious coffee.

"What are you standing there for?" she said irritably. Xin Yu seemed much more dazed than before.

Uh...

It really wasn't Xin Yu's fault. Back in S country, she had said she would send Mu Yi'ai to America.

Clearly, she hadn't left yet.

It seemed Old Master Mu was being very protective again.

"Look what you want to drink!" Seeing Xin Yu sit down, Mu Yi'ai unceremoniously pushed her tablet towards her. "Don't act like you've seen a ghost when you see me."

Xin Yu pouted, looked down at the menu, and ordered a cappuccino.

Looking up at Mu Yi'ai, Xin Yu asked, "Where have you been lately?"

"With so many properties in the Mu family, where can't I stay?"

"..." Xin Yu pursed her lips, speechless.

"It's a good thing I didn't leave; the old man's illness is so serious this time."

Xin Yu hummed in agreement. "Indeed, you should spend more time with Old Master Mu."

She didn't say much more, unsure if Mu Yi'ai had come as a mediator.

"You and Mu Yichuan broke up?"

"..." The conversation began.

"Good thing you broke up. Even if that arrogant, domineering guy offered himself to me, I wouldn't want him!" Mu Yi'ai's words were full of disdain for Mu Yichuan.

"..." Xin Yu's face almost scrunched up. She had guessed a thousand times, but she never expected Mu Yi'ai to say that.

Arrogant, domineering?

That's quite fitting.

"Have you thought about what you'd do if Mu Yichuan kept bothering you?" Mu Yi'ai put down her coffee, her cat-like eyes flashing with an unfathomable...probing look.

Xin Yu paused. She didn't realize this question had been troubling her for days; Mu Yichuan's persistence had moved her.

But the thought of him giving up felt like a knife twisting in her heart, shattering her into pieces.

"Are you here to persuade me?" Xin Yu took her cappuccino and spoke only after the waiter left.

Mu Yi'ai paused, then leaned back lazily in her chair. "No."

That's good.

"But, do you really like that guy Mu Yichuan? Can you stand his awful temper?"

"..." Was this really persuasion?

The two drank their coffee in silence, seemingly the first time they had been so quietly together.

The sun set, and the sky seemed to darken instantly.

Winter had arrived, and their hearts grew cold...

"If you have nothing else, I'll go back now." Xin Yu stood up, preparing to leave. "Hey," Mu Yi'ai stood up and pulled her along, "You really look like you've just broken up."

After saying that, Mu Yi'ai's cat-like eyes darkened, then blinked again, "Let's go for a drink!"

"…" Xin Yu's lips twitched for a while, "I'm not going."

Drinking to drown your sorrows only makes them worse, that's the truth.

Mu Yi'ai didn't seem to want to let go of Xin Yu, pulling her all the way to the red sports car by the roadside, "Just keep me company."

"Then I won't drink."

"No problem!"

Xin Yu sat in the passenger seat. Sometimes she really didn't understand Mu Yi'ai. On the surface, she was so rebellious and arrogant, as if she didn't care about anything in the world, but when she turned around, she cared so much about Nan Yu.

Even dignity, even life, could be abandoned.

"What are you thinking about?" Mu Yi'ai tossed her long, wavy hair, "If you miss Mu Yichuan, then I'll take you to a bar under his name."

"No." She didn't want to see him for the time being, she didn't know how to face him, whether to forgive, or to decisively give up. She didn't want any of them.

After saying that, Xin Yu turned to look out the car window, watching the bustling traffic and flashing neon lights.

Everything was so beautiful—

"Drive faster!" Xin Yu suddenly shouted, "Go to the other lane."

Mu Yi'ai was startled, her cat-like eyes lazily sweeping over her. "What are you doing? Have you figured it out? Want to go crazy for once?"

Xin Yu really didn't know her thought process was so bizarre, and had to point to the car to her right. "The driver in that car is wearing a mask."

"So?"

Xin Yu didn't know how to explain. Mu Yi'ai had amnesia; she didn't remember the masked man they saw at the race in Beishi so long ago.

The woman in the car in front was wearing a mask that looked very similar to the one she'd seen in Beishi. Xin Yu was just curious, deeply curious.

"Look ahead!" Xin Yu quickly reached out to help Mu Yi'ai turn the steering wheel. This girl seemed completely bewildered by the mask. "Drive carefully."

"This mask looks familiar." She turned her head back and forth, staring at the mask while driving.

Xin Yu paused, looking at Mu Yi'ai incredulously. "You remember?"

"What?" She was also startled, remembering her previous injury. "We've met before?"

Xin Yu nodded deeply. "But you didn't seem to care then."

Two thuds!

Mu Yi'ai slammed her hand on the steering wheel. "It's all that bastard Mu Yichuan's fault!"

"..." Xin Yu, of course, didn't understand why she was bringing up Mu Yichuan again, so she didn't respond.

"He's just getting revenge on me!" Mu Yi'ai shouted angrily. "He just can't stand me, his sister! Instead, he's with Nan Juechen!"

"What do you mean by that? If you have any misunderstandings with Mu Yichuan, you can explain them clearly," Xin Yu suggested, instinctively trying to defend Mu Yichuan. "Three years ago, it must be because of that so-called 'three years ago incident,' he disliked me! He wouldn't let the doctor treat me!"

"The car accident three years ago?" Xin Yu remembered, it seemed to have been caused by Mu Yi'ai's racing. "What do you mean by 'won't let the doctor treat you'?"

What she said was utterly baffling.

Screech.

A sudden screech of brakes.

Mu Yi'ai's eyes flashed with a dark light. "Because the car accident three years ago caused him head injuries, he couldn't wait to see me lose my memory, so he could retaliate in kind."

Xin Yu's eyes widened, processing Mu Yi'ai's words. "What did you just say! Mu Yichuan suffered head injuries three years ago? He...he..."

"Oh no!" Mu Yi'ai cried out, hurriedly starting the car and speeding off. "We can't let that masked man get away." The car sped along, weaving through traffic.

But Xin Yu was still reeling from what Mu Yi'ai had just said. What had Mu Yi'ai said?

Mu Yi'chuan had also lost part of his memory?

How could this be?

This was all...terrifying, truly...unbelievable.

"Damn it!" Mu Yi'ai honked the horn furiously, wishing she could fly over the car in front of her.

"Was what you just said true?"
