Like meteors crashing into each other, dazzling arcs of lightning drew curved trails through the air, as if they meant to tear space itself apart.
Immediately afterward, a dark shadow could be seen faintly within the dust that had been thrown up.
Placidusax was caught off guard by that sudden blow. His massive body rolled like a boulder.
The walls of the colosseum had already been shattered in the fierce exchange of breath attacks just now, and they could not possibly stop the enormous body of the four-headed dragon.
He flew straight out of the colosseum and crashed hard into the city of Farum Azula.
A world-shaking boom rang out. Smoke and dust surged into the air, and large stretches of buildings collapsed in an instant.
The force of the impact was so great that the surrounding air seemed to compress, forming a powerful shockwave that spread in every direction.
Boom, boom, boom!
Another barrage of explosions loud enough to make one's ears ring followed, and the blinding light forced the eyes shut.
Nolan flew into the sky above Farum Azula. A cluster of light gathered in his mouth before bursting apart, and golden lightning fell like a meteor shower, all of it crashing down onto Farum Azula.
"As expected of the King who killed Bayle." Even Josdasax, an Ancient Dragon himself, could not help opening his mouth in shock.
If this battle were not taking place within Farum Azula inside a rift in time and space, but in normal time and space, then the City in the Sky would likely have been completely destroyed today.
As the final rumble faded, Placidusax, who should have appeared in the city district, had vanished into thin air.
In his place, a thundercloud denser than dust and mist shot up from the broken city and streaked across the sky.
"That old fellow really is tough!"
Nolan looked up at the thundercloud. The instant it appeared above his head, he suddenly sensed the aura of a Lightning Spear again.
But he had no intention of waiting for the old dragon to come down on him.
Sunlight Spear!
Golden light gathered in the two foreclaws of Nolan's dragon body. The spears of light collided at extreme speed, and Placidusax appeared at the same moment, launching a collision from high above.
Four Lightning Spears met in the air, erupting with a deafening blast.
The sea of lightning roared like raging waves, tightly engulfing the two giant dragons as they fell from the sky.
Nolan gritted his teeth and knocked away the Dragon Lightning spear in front of him. Placidusax's guard was immediately thrown wide open, his chest and abdomen completely exposed before Nolan's eyes.
Several more holes could be seen in his body. Under Nolan's "meteor shower" just now, even the Ancient Dragon King had not escaped unscathed.
Placidusax's body leaned backward, but at that moment, his legs suddenly exerted force, and his whole body slammed straight into Nolan.
The two giant dragons looked as though they were embracing. In an instant, they became an out-of-control "train," crashing wildly through the streets of Farum Azula.
Nolan could clearly feel the tremors as building after building behind him was smashed down. Fortunately, there were no other living beings in this Farum Azula within the rift of time and space besides the three dragons. Otherwise, this would have been another battle with devastating casualties.
After gradually adapting to that sudden tremendous impact, Nolan began to counterattack with all his strength.
Placidusax's hind leg was injured, and his strength was now weaker than Nolan's. The old dragon's charge was forcibly stopped by Nolan just like that.
A hard and stubborn old dragon would not admit defeat easily. Only death could defeat him.
Placidusax clung to Nolan's body and refused to release his claws, so Nolan simply held onto him as well and pushed back.
But Placidusax's long necks coiled in like snakes. Three ferocious dragon heads opened their mouths at once and bit fiercely into Nolan's head and neck.
At that moment, the advantage of having more heads was displayed to the fullest. Placidusax's three dragon heads bit into Nolan and continuously released powerful Dragon Lightning, firmly pinning Nolan's head in place.
"As long as I disrupt your magic, you will be unable to use that strange magic from earlier, correct?"
Placidusax's remaining head also aimed at Nolan, its mouth opening to the limit, as if it meant to devour everything.
Golden dragonfire and crimson Dragon Lightning gathered together in an instant, forming a powerful torrent of energy.
Dragon breath, fire!
A pillar of flame shot from that dragon head's mouth, but in that very instant, Placidusax saw the scales on Nolan's body begin to turn red, as though they had been ignited.
The three dragon heads biting Nolan could also clearly feel an extreme heat surging out from within him. The heat was so intense that Nolan was now practically a moving sun.
Was this dragonfire?
Placidusax could not be certain. What Ancient Dragon would dare use dragonfire like this without cremating itself first?
Ancient Dragons did indeed possess immortal scales, but the defenses inside their bodies were far weaker than their dragon scales.
Placidusax could not help loosening the three heads fixed on Nolan.
The dragon breath in the old dragon's last head still fired, but its direction shifted slightly.
The beam of light swept across the sky and cut off one of the dragon wings on Nolan's left side.
And because the beam could not stop in time, it swept across one of Placidusax's dragon heads as well and severed it with the same strike.
This old dragon truly had shown no mercy. His attack possessed ultimate destructive power, so much that even he himself could not withstand it. One head was gone just like that.
Of course, Nolan had never been holding back either. Both of them knew this was a battle to the death. Showing mercy would be an insult to a King.
And so Nolan's fiery-red dragon body lunged forward. He opened his mouth and bit into one of Placidusax's necks, pressing both claws onto Placidusax's body before exerting force with all his might.
Another of Placidusax's heads was torn off. But rather than being bitten off, it was more accurate to say it had been melted through. The high temperature directly charred the broken part of his neck black.
The pain of losing yet another head made Placidusax let out a piercing wail, but at that very moment, his left claw gathered Dragon Lightning. The lightning claw stabbed into Nolan's chest.
The old dragon had not given up. He used all the strength in his body and pushed the power of the Dragon Lightning claw to its limit.
The light of Dragon Lightning suddenly swelled severalfold like an explosion, resembling a wildly growing tree. It nailed Nolan firmly to the crown, then carried him into the sky.
The sight was so vast that the entire city of Farum Azula was pierced through by the tangled branches of that "tree."
The city's upper structures collapsed in an instant, turning into powder as if swept away by a massive storm.
Placidusax had no time to care about the agony in his neck. He struggled to his feet and finally caught a brief breath, but when he raised his head, he could no longer see Nolan.
"Is he dead?"
The thought flashed through his mind, but he quickly rejected it. In the higher sky, a fiery-red shadow was growing larger in his pupils.
A meteor? No, it was that young dragon.
That dragon glowed with purple light, burned with flame, and flashed with thunder. A black aura flickered around him, and heaven and earth seemed to lose their color.
Gravity, life, light, death... These seemingly chaotic elements intertwined and fused within that "meteor." It truly was the most beautiful rock in the world.
Against that "meteor," Placidusax looked up, appearing both majestic and small.
The Dragonlord laughed wildly. The four wings behind him spread open, and an even larger Dragon Lightning Spear was grasped in his hand as he rose from the ground.
Charge. Collision.
Blinding light shone across the sky. At that moment, even the wind and clouds retreated for the two Kings, and the clash between Kings stirred up a vast tide of clouds.
