While awaiting his lover's return, Deon pondered the two prophecies he had recently heard. The Fox King had told him that he would bring great fortune to the Demon Clan, yet also become a disaster for Cassia. At the same time, the God of Fate had received a prophecy foretelling that the God Realm would face a great disaster, and Cassia was believed to be connected to it.
When he combined those two pieces of information, he couldn't find any common ground. He felt as though one prophecy had to be wrong while the other was right. Either way, neither possibility was good.
Although he had decided to side with Cassia and oppose the God Realm, that didn't mean he would allow disaster to befall the God Realm. If the God Realm were destroyed, the foundations of the divine pillars supporting the heavens would collapse. It would be like the seven-layered Heavenly Realm losing its very foundation, bringing about the apocalypse across every realm.
