In truth, Cassia no longer enjoyed killing. The massacre of the gods had only happened because she had cast Stoned Heart upon herself. The forbidden spell had stripped away her compassion, making her increasingly ruthless, aggressive, and heartless—even toward her own people.
She had done so for one purpose alone: to force the demon clan to produce more Noble and King-ranked Demons as quickly as possible.
