Lockhart's expression froze for a moment, then he smiled and said, "Aren't we supposed to be discussing cooperation?"
"No, I'm truly sorry, but what we are discussing now involves some secrets. Besides, I remember we didn't invite you last night; you were scared silly at the time…"
"Scared silly? No, no, no." He shook his head repeatedly: "That was feigning weakness; I often use that trick, you can find it in my—"
"So you don't deny that we didn't invite you to participate in today's private discussion, do you?" Loreton interrupted him unceremoniously.
"I think you should continue your Christmas trip to Greece."
With that, he slammed the door shut.
"Damn… that clueless guy…"
A click sounded, and the door opened again.
"If you dare to speak of what you know in any public setting, I will arrest you for public misconduct and obstruction of justice." He warned, his eyes seemingly seeing through Lockhart's thoughts.
"No, this is my right." Lockhart looked displeased.
"You have your freedom of speech, but believe me, most of what you say will be wrong."
With that, the door closed again.
Lockhart looked at the closed door, full of defiance, and swung his fists twice at the door panel. Only then, as if he had vented his anger, did he straighten his robes and turn to leave.
"I saw it with my own eyes… and it's wrong…"
Inside the room, Howl looked at Loreton, who sat down with a displeased expression.
"Actually, you could have just erased his memory."
