Khanima here.
No, I haven't given up on the story.
In fact I have been significantly expanding the lore and worldbuilding.
First of all I think I need to explain my goals for this series.
I am not just writing "GATE: Jietai Kanochi note Kaku Takaeri", but better.
I am basically intending to write what is actually a written simulation of multiple different cultures and races in several continents with an overarching cosmological framework on top. What you are seeing is just a tiny part of it.
I took a look at the twenty one chapters so far and shook my head. No, this wouldn't do it. There are far too many inconsistencies for example. And I intend to correct them all.
The past nine months has been spent on totally reconstructing and rewriting the story from the ground up. Unfortunately I am a quite busy individual, so there is not always enough time. However I do endeavour to give at least three hours of my time on building the world and its respective culture.
Anyways, it will take some time to finish this. This isn't a daily story publishing project, which is really what Webnovel is better suited for.
So if it's daily chapters you are into; sadly, Dawnless-world isn't for you.
But if you are someone who is tired and fed up with all the typical fantasy tropes? You want side characters that feel like real people, worlds that feel distinct yet lived-in, with different dressing styles, different manners of speech, greeting etc and not just whatever is built up on the framework of Dungeons and Dragons?
If you have read A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) or Malazan Book of the Fallen; you will understand that my world feels nowhere near as big as those two, and my intention is to exceed them in so many ways.
Well, then.
Thanks for your understanding.
Oh, and your support too.
