Chapter 193 - Chapter 193 A Favorable Situation

Having resolved the major problem of Fan Changtian, and with Fan Zihong being ordered back to Beijing by his family, Chen Yang felt a long sigh of relief. Fan Zihong's predatory gaze towards the delicate Xu Qingya in Rongcheng had been a constant source of frustration for Chen Yang.

However, unfortunately, Fan Zihong's return to Beijing meant that Chen Yang's subsequent plans against him had to be temporarily shelved. But Chen Yang believed that as long as Xu Qingya remained in Rongcheng, Fan Zihong would do everything in his power to return, and once he was back, it would set the stage for Chen Yang's massive revenge!

This was a super feast that would shake the entire Fan family.

Without the imminent pressure, Chen Yang spent several days in a tranquil atmosphere. He got up on time every day to exercise, sometimes accompanied Su He and his grandmother for walks, and when he was in a good mood, he would even buy groceries and cook for himself.

Living under the same roof as two stunning beauties, Su He and Ning Qiaoqian, Chen Yang felt like he was walking on thin ice every day, afraid of giving himself away. Fortunately, although Ning Qiaoqian was verbally defiant, she was actually quite tactful. When Su He wasn't around, she would occasionally flirt with Chen Yang, but as soon as Su He was present, she would immediately act normally and maintain a certain distance from him.

This eased Chen Yang's anxiety somewhat, but the thought that this situation would continue for a long time gave him a headache. While being with beautiful women was always pleasant, being with two women he had close relationships with at the same time was far from pleasant.

Chen Yang felt like he had shot himself in the foot.

The four houses Chen Yang had his eye on had all been transferred. Except for the Phoenix New Village house he acquired first, the remaining three houses, which cost a total of about one million yuan, were all in the process of being transferred.

The Phoenix New Village apartment was the first one signed. Since it was a full payment, the procedures were simple, and the transfer of ownership has already been completed.

With Song Yi handling the transfer, Chen Yang felt reassured. The property transfers were now handled by a real estate agency, and Song Yi was very experienced, so Chen Yang could basically be a hands-off manager.

Chen Yang made a preliminary estimate that if all four apartments were demolished and compensated, he could get around five million yuan in cash. Including all commissions and taxes, the purchase price of these apartments was only around 1.6 million yuan – an absolute windfall!

However, the demolition compensation wouldn't be completed quickly. Chen Yang remembered that the earliest apartment to be demolished would probably take two or three months, and receiving compensation for all four apartments wouldn't be until early next year at the earliest.

Even so, such a return on investment was phenomenal!

Chen Yang calculated his assets; he currently had approximately 1.5 million yuan in cash. This amount of money was slightly insufficient to contract the city radio station's 89.6 channel, but Chen Yang was confident he could secure it. After all, the investment didn't need to be all at once; it could be injected gradually in batches. Moreover, he now had some connections and should be able to negotiate some favorable terms, such as a one- or two-month growth period.

Once the cooperation agreement was signed, 1.5 million yuan would be more than enough as start-up capital. Over the next six months, nearly five million yuan would be returned. With this money, Chen Yang was absolutely confident he could make the channel thrive!

The 89.6 channel might be a huge burden within the system, but in Chen Yang's hands, he could completely revive it, and should be able to recoup his costs in a very short time.

At this point, Chen Yang had already started considering the pyrite mine project. Chu Xiaobai and others had promised to invest if the project was successful, so by the end of the year at the latest, Chen Yang would be able to focus on operating this project.

Hopefully, it wouldn't be too late! The pyrite mine is still considered a small, insignificant project by most, but Chen Yang, having been reborn, clearly understands its immense value. If he can successfully acquire it, Chen Yang will essentially have a cash cow with terrifying yields in his hands.

And a cash cow that can provide substantial profits for over a decade!

Today is the day Chen Yang has arranged to have dinner with Lu Mingjun, the director of the Cultural Industry Creative Park Management Committee.

When Chen Yang called Lu Mingjun, he was still impressed by this young man who could speak to Guan Weiping and Kan Xufeng. When Chen Yang mentioned wanting to invite Zhou Wen, the deputy director of the city radio station, to dinner, Lu Mingjun agreed without hesitation.

Chen Yang had already mentioned this matter to him during their last dinner together, and Lu Mingjun knew that Chen Yang seemed somewhat interested in Channel 89.6. Being able to make connections and cultivate a good relationship with Chen Yang was a task Lu Mingjun was very happy to do.

After contacting Zhou Wen, Lu Mingjun set the dinner time for tonight.

Chen Yang had booked the No. 1 private room at the Jiangbin No. 1 Clubhouse again. Jiangbin No. 1 Clubhouse is a property under Ning Kuncheng's Qiankun Group, and its hardware environment and service level are second to none in Rongcheng, with complete supporting entertainment facilities.

Ning Qiaoqian rarely uses her diamond membership card, so she simply leaves it with Chen Yang. Therefore, Chen Yang has basically been using Jiangbin No. 1 Clubhouse as his regular reception venue lately.

Chen Yang invited Xie Fangzhi and Guo Li to attend, and he also informed Song Yi in advance to make time for tonight's dinner. After thinking for a moment, Chen Yang also invited Song Xiaoyun. In the future, Song Yi and Song Xiaoyun will be important backbones of the cultural communication company, and Chen Yang needs to get them up to speed early; otherwise, once school starts, Chen Yang will be completely overwhelmed.

Song Xiaoyun has been suspended from her duties, but since her social harm is not considered serious, she is staying at home awaiting further action from the organization.

Kan Xufeng has extensive connections within the Rongcheng political and legal system. To be on the safe side, Chen Yang specifically contacted Kan Xufeng to ask for his help in mediating, so barring any unforeseen circumstances, Song Xiaoyun should be able to avoid criminal punishment.

Chen Yang left about an hour early in the evening, first meeting Song Yi at the entrance of the Luhang residential area, then driving to the boiler factory staff dormitory to pick up Song Xiaoyun, and heading straight to the Jiangbin No. 1 Club.

Since he was treating everyone today, and he needed her help, Chen Yang naturally wanted to get there early to make arrangements.

Upon arriving at the club, the No. 1 private room had already been changed to a ten-person table as Chen Yang had instructed, making the large room seem somewhat empty. Chen Yang personally ordered the food. For drinks, Chen Yang directly ordered four bottles of Moutai.

That day, while treating Guo Li to dinner, Chen Yang made an unexpected discovery: Song Xiaoyun had an exceptionally high alcohol tolerance, truly a woman who wouldn't be outdone by men. After drinking two large glasses of baijiu (Chinese liquor), she continued to toast frequently with smaller glasses, and by the end of the meal, she was only slightly tipsy.

Therefore, Chen Yang simply didn't order red wine today; everyone, including Song Xiaoyun, drank baijiu.

After the arrangements were mostly made, the guests began to arrive.

Xie Fangzhi and Guo Li arrived together. Song Xiaoyun seemed a little awkward upon seeing Guo Li, but still greeted him with grace and poise. Chen Yang observed this and nodded secretly in approval. Song Xiaoyun had a good alcohol tolerance, strong social skills, and a background in journalism; making her the perfect candidate for program director was indeed a good fit.

Unexpectedly, he had inadvertently discovered a promising talent, and Chen Yang felt a small, pleasant surprise.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Lu Mingjun led a middle-aged man, around forty years old, into the private room. The man wore a brown striped short-sleeved t-shirt, crisp dark blue trousers, and polished leather shoes. He sported frameless glasses and exuded a refined, scholarly air.

Chen Yang recognized him as Zhou Wen, the deputy director of the city radio station, and quickly greeted him with a smile.

Lu Mingjun also smiled warmly at Chen Yang and promptly introduced them. Chen Yang extended his hand to Zhou Wen, smiling, and said,

"Director Zhou, thank you for gracing us with your presence!"

Lu Mingjun had subtly revealed Chen Yang's background to Zhou Wen on the way there. Zhou Wen, merely a deputy section chief, considered the scions of wealthy and powerful families unapproachable, and thus dared not be negligent. He quickly and warmly grasped Chen Yang's hand, repeatedly saying,

"You flatter me! You flatter me!"

"Distinguished leaders, everyone is here. Let's sit down and chat!" After greeting Zhou Wen, Chen Yang smiled and gestured for everyone to sit down.

Lu Mingjun, being a section chief, was the highest-ranking guest present. Therefore, Chen Yang seated him in the central, host's seat. Lu Mingjun, somewhat flustered, repeatedly declined, but unable to resist Chen Yang's insistence, he reluctantly accepted the seat.

Zhou Wen, being the main guest of the day, was seated to Lu Mingjun's right, the second most important guest of honor. Xie Fangzhi, also a deputy section chief, naturally sat to Lu Mingjun's left.

Next, Chen Yang didn't arrange Guo Li next to Zhou Wen according to rank, but instead let Song Xiaoyun sit in that seat. Song Xiaoyun's main task tonight was to ensure Zhou Wen had a good drink.

Song Yi sat next to Xie Fangzhi, and then Guo Li and himself were seated. This way, both sides had empty seats, which was more conducive to a harmonious atmosphere at the table.

Chen Yang had experienced countless banquets like this in his previous life, so he was naturally very familiar with this.

Lu Mingjun couldn't help but glance at Chen Yang again. Even from such a small seating arrangement, he could see a lot. He felt that this young Fang was indeed extraordinary. Despite his young age, he handled these matters with incredible experience and ease. It was hard to believe he was still just a university student! After everyone was seated, the prepared hot and cold dishes began to be served. At this point, Chen Yang stood up again, took the pre-opened bottle of Moutai from the waiter, and personally poured wine for Lu Mingjun, Zhou Wen, and others.

Chen Yang returned to his seat, picked up his glass, and stood up, smiling, saying:

"I'm very pleased to have Director Lu and Station Master Zhou here today, and I also thank Director Xie and Director Guo for their presence. This first glass is for all the leaders; I'll drink it all, you can drink as you please."
