Chapter 135 - Chapter 135 needs to be captivating enough.

When they heard Kannazuki say that Human Puppets didn't require living people, only corpses, Kakashi and the others were speechless.

Obito asked curiously, "Kannazuki, what's the difference between a Human Puppet and other puppets?"

Kannazuki nodded, "Of course there's a difference. Otherwise, why would Sasori commit such a great taboo to create Human Puppets? The biggest difference between a Human Puppet and a regular puppet is that a Human Puppet can use Ninjutsu.

A Human Puppet is made from a living person who once had life, and it's created while still imbued with their Chakra, thus completely preserving all of that person's Ninjutsu and Bloodline Limit from when they were alive.

In other words, a Human Puppet needs to be made while the body is still 'fresh.' If you wait too long and the Chakra dissipates, it loses all value.

For ordinary puppets, if the enemy knows the internal mechanism's layout and function, then that puppet becomes inconsequential, or even useless.

However, a Human Puppet's primary means of offense is the Ninjutsu it retains, so even if the opponent knows the internal mechanism's layout, it's useless, because a Human Puppet doesn't rely on those mechanisms, but on the Ninjutsu it possessed in life.

The advantage of a Human Puppet is its ability to use Ninjutsu infinitely. As long as its Chakra isn't exhausted, a Human Puppet can continuously use the Ninjutsu it had in life, so there's no issue of Ninjutsu not being repeatable.

Of course, in my eyes, Human Puppets are worthless. My Kannazuki is far more powerful than any Human Puppet! After all, my Magnet Release is the ultimate counter to puppets, even Human Puppets!"

After Kannazuki finished speaking, he proudly puffed out his chest.

The veins on Kakashi, Obito, and Rin Nohara's foreheads throbbed.

Can he not speak without praising himself?

Kakashi asked Kannazuki another question, "But Kannazuki, I'm not saying Pakura won't help you, it's just, will anyone really believe the things you've written? Some of it is just too outrageous."

Kannazuki scoffed, "What does it matter if they believe it or not? As long as it's eye-catching enough."

Kakashi asked, "What do you mean?"

Kannazuki thought for a moment before replying, "Let's take an example: Lord Jiraiya visits a brothel, gets his clothes stolen, and runs naked through the streets. Do you believe this story?"

Kakashi and the other two shook their heads simultaneously, "We believe Lord Jiraiya would visit a brothel, but we don't believe he'd run naked through the streets after his clothes were stolen. Lord Jiraiya is one of the Sannin; such a powerful Ninja wouldn't run naked even if his clothes were stolen."

Kannazuki snapped his fingers, "Exactly, no one would believe it. But this story would spread like wildfire. The name Lord Jiraiya alone guarantees attention, and the elements of a brothel, stolen clothes, and naked running are enough to grab headlines.

Regardless of whether the story is true or not, if the protagonist is famous enough and the event is sensational enough, it will definitely spread easily. The surrounding onlookers won't care if it's true or not; even if they know it's false, they'll treat it as true because it satisfies their desire for gossip. Understand?"

Kakashi and Rin Nohara nodded simultaneously; they understood.

The truth doesn't matter, as long as the story is attention-grabbing enough.

Only Obito shook his head, looking as if he hadn't understood.

Kannazuki said helplessly, "Obito, when will you finally catch on? Let me put it this way: Rin plans to confess to you today. That's pretty outrageous, right? But if Kakashi and I knew about it, even if we knew it was false, we'd still discuss it. Do you understand now?"

Rin Nohara smacked Kannazuki's shoulder in annoyance, "Kannazuki, what kind of example is that!"

Obito tilted his head slightly.

Rin plans to confess to him today... that's not outrageous... is it?

"Heh, hehe."

Seeing Obito giggle foolishly, Kannazuki and Kakashi exchanged glances, seeing helplessness in each other's eyes.

This idiot, he's truly hopeless.

Kannazuki let out a soft breath, "Now, it's up to Pakura."

...Half a month had passed since Pakura and Kannazuki parted ways.

Actually, at first, Pakura was still struggling with whether or not to spread the contents of the scroll.

After all, it was truly too sensational, too outrageous.

But then she thought of Kannazuki being wrongly accused, forced to become a rogue Ninja, making him leave his home to join Konoha, unable to return to his Village, and all of this was because of Rasa and his cohorts. Pakura's anger flared.

So, Pakura still secretly spread the contents of the scroll.

Actually, Pakura only spread it for five days, because midway through, Pakura went on a mission. When Pakura returned to the outpost, she was dumbfounded.

Because all the Ninja in the outpost were secretly discussing.

"Did you hear? It turns out the Fourth Kazekage became Kazekage because he and Lady Chiyo are mother and son! He's Lady Chiyo's illegitimate child!"

"I never would have thought! No wonder the higher-ups all recommended the Fourth Kazekage; so there was this connection."

"There's even more you wouldn't expect! I heard the Fourth Kazekage's father is Ōnoki!"

"I know! It seems during the Second Shinobi World War, Lord Ebizo, for our Hidden Sand Village to obtain supplies from Iwagakure, made his older sister, Lady Chiyo, humble herself to the Tsuchikage of Iwagakure, Ōnoki. That's how the Fourth Kazekage came to be."

"No wonder Iwagakure could let bygones be bygones with our Village and fight Konoha together. It turns out it's because Ōnoki found out his illegitimate son was the Fourth Kazekage, which is why he cooperated with our Village to fight Konoha."

"Tsk tsk, I heard that Ōnoki is an old man with a red nose, as short as a radish!"

"Sigh, honestly, Lady Chiyo's sacrifice was quite great, but that can't erase what her grandson Sasori did. Human Puppets! As Lady Chiyo's grandson, he actually researched such a deranged Ninjutsu."

"For a while, weren't Ninja in the Village disappearing from time to time? Could it have been Sasori?"

"Very likely! It must have been Sasori! Perhaps the Sandaime..."

"Hey, you can't just say things like that!"

...Pakura's eyes narrowed slightly. It seemed the time was right.

After taking a breath, Pakura headed to Chiyo's tent.

Upon arriving at Chiyo's tent, Chiyo saw Pakura had returned and said with a smile, "You're back. You've worked hard, Pakura."

Pakura seemed a bit 'difficult to speak,' stammering, "Lady Chiyo... that, when I just returned, I heard many Ninja in the outpost discussing you, Lord Ebizo, and the Fourth Kazekage. Aren't you going to stop them?"

Chiyo's brow furrowed, "Discussing me?"

Those Ninja wouldn't be foolish enough to say such things in front of Chiyo. In fact, Chiyo had sensed something, because every time she went out, many Ninja would lower their heads when they saw her, acting as if they were avoiding her, but Chiyo hadn't thought much of it. Now, hearing Pakura say this, Chiyo realized they must have been discussing something bad.
