The hallway that had moments ago been filled with the baby's crawling and Seraphina's gentle voice—everything had now become eerily still.
Only the occasional rustling of the wind brushing against the curtains could be heard, the faint breeze entering through the slightly opened window.

Aiden's small, innocent voice instantly broke the suffocating stillness.
