Valentina shifted her attention toward Seraphina before giving her a faint nod.
"He's a vampire now…"
Her eyes slowly moved toward Lucian.
"... and a truly unique one at that," she muttered afterwards, a small smile curling across her lips.
Hearing those final words from her mother, Vivienne instantly frowned.
She had already sensed it earlier, but hearing her mother specifically emphasise the word made it feel even more obvious… as though Lucian had gained something different after turning into a vampire, something unnatural.
And judging by Valentina's expression, she already seemed to know something about it.
Vivienne's eyes shifted toward her again.
"Mother, what do you mean by unique?"
Valentina looked toward her daughter for a brief second, then shrugged lightly.
"Who knows…"
Of course, those words didn't lessen Vivienne's curiosity in the slightest. She could clearly tell her mother was lying.
