Chapter 108 - Chapter 108 One crown for me, one crown for you, Kailuo is our good partner

"If you didn't even turn on the damn camera, why the hell are you here?!"

Under normal circumstances, Kai wouldn't curse.

Unless he really couldn't hold it in.

What kind of garbage tabloid sends a photographer to a match without turning on his camera?

The game had been going on for ninety minutes!

Are you here to work or just cut cock around and waste space?

The photographer looked embarrassed.

He was the Portugal correspondent for The Sun.

They didn't usually cover youth matches seriously.

He had actually come to take photos of pretty girls in the stands.

The professional camera was just camouflage.

He'd already snapped dozens of photos on his phone.

Fortunately, there were several other cameras positioned near the corner flag.

They captured everything—Sporting's wild celebration, and even Kai's furious reaction when he realized one camera hadn't been recording.

Meanwhile, at the other stadium, players from the remaining teams instantly lost all spirit.

Two minutes after kickoff resumed, the referee blew the final whistle.

Porto fans began leaving in waves.

Even though the stadium announcer informed them there would be a trophy ceremony, most didn't bother staying.

It was only a youth tournament, after all.

To their credit, the Portuguese Football Federation had anticipated the possibility of Sporting clinching the title and had brought the trophy.

But the ceremony was simple.

No temporary podium.

No fireworks.

Just four staff members holding up a reusable banner that read:

"Portuguese U15 League Champions."

No year printed.

Clearly, they planned to use it again next season.

Under the lenses of official photographers, the players gathered.

"Kai."

Coach Marques took the trophy from the organizers and handed it directly to Kai.

Cristiano Ronaldo had been staring at Marques the entire time, hoping—

But Marques pretended not to notice.

A coach like Marques might not understand advanced tactics, but he knew one thing very clearly:

Ronaldo was the blade.

Kai was the hand holding the blade.

Most people would choose the sharper knife.

But someone like Marques knew—you follow the hand.

"One, two, three…"

"We are the champions!"

Kai stood in the center and lifted the trophy high above his head.

Ronaldo stood slightly behind and to the side—he was taller, after all—but there was no hiding the fire in his eyes.

Envy.

Ambition.

Admiration.

Damn it.

Headlines Explode

"Scorpion Kick Decides the Nation! Kai's Tail Strike Delivers the Championship!"

"The Future Is Here! Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo Lead Sporting Youth to League Glory!"

"Sudden Death Drama! Nobody Expected It to Be This Brutal!"

"City Brotherhood? Benfica Defeat Camares to Hand Sporting the Title!"

"After Years of Silence, Sporting Finally Lift a Trophy!"

"Kai and Ronaldo Set the Example—Why Should the Red Devils Wait?"

"Kai: This Is Just the Beginning… The Miracle of Lisbon Has Set Sail!"

"The First Chinese-Descended Player to Win a European League This Season—Kai!"

Originally, Sporting U15 winning the league would have been minor news.

Youth teams win titles every year.

Nobody cares.

But this year was different.

Because during the post-match press conference, Kai aimed straight at Manchester United.

"Do you want to know if Manchester United will win the league?" Kai grinned, lifting the trophy.

"Watch carefully. I'll only perform this once."

The room burst into laughter.

The clip spread across the internet instantly.

Manchester United fans were amused.

This kid… is he teaching Manchester United how to win trophies?

Reporters tried to get reactions from United players.

Impossible.

Sir Alex Ferguson had banned interviews.

With three trophies still in reach, he locked the squad down completely.

Players were even told to remain abstinent for the final ten days of the season—no nightlife, no distractions, no girlfriends affecting match sharpness.

And hilariously—

They agreed.

Human rights?

Freedom?

Sorry.

When a treble is on the line, those can wait.

That's the power of chasing history.

Premier League — Final Round

Manchester United led Arsenal by one point.

Their final opponent:

Tottenham Hotspur.

They had to win.

24th minute.

Tottenham scored.

Half the title slipped away.

It eerily mirrored the Portuguese U15 drama.

Sporting had needed help from Benfica.

Now Tottenham—another North London club—were facing Manchester United.

Were Spurs about to play "brotherly love" and help Arsenal steal the title?

42nd minute.

Paul Scholes threaded a pass to David Beckham.

Beckham struck.

1–1.

47th minute.

Andy Cole scored.

2–1.

Manchester United were back on top.

The remaining minutes turned into a war.

Tackles flying.

Bodies colliding.

But the score held.

Manchester United won the final Premier League title of the 20th century.

After the match, Beckham stood before reporters, lifted the Premier League trophy, and mimicked Kai's pose.

"Look at this, Kai!" Beckham laughed.

"This is the Premier League trophy! We learned from you!"

The press roared with laughter.

He was clearly responding to Kai's earlier taunt.

Media Frenzy

"The Biggest Contributor to Manchester United's Title? Kai!"

"You Win One, I Win One — Kai and Ronaldo Inspire the Red Devils!"

"Manchester United Eye the Treble! The 20th Century Ends in Fire!"

"Bayern Fans, Go Shut Him Up! Kai the Prophet Strikes Again!"

"If You Want Updates on United, Ask Kai!"

"The Day Before United Won the League, Sporting U15 Won Theirs!"

"The Day Before the Champions League Final, Sporting U15 Play the Youth Final!"

"Youth Final — A Preview of the Champions League Final?"

The linkage sent Sporting's youth team into viral territory.

May 21

Though the champion had been decided, the final round still had to be played.

Sporting rotated heavily.

Kai.

Cristiano Ronaldo.

Several starters rested to prepare for the Youth Champions League final.

The result?

Sporting lost 0–3 at home to Camares.

Meanwhile, Benfica suddenly found their pride.

They defeated Porto in the final round.

Porto, due to goal difference, slipped to third.

Camares finished second.

Benfica, despite finishing fourth, at least ended the season looking like a respectable club again.

Rúben Amorim and João Pereira performed strongly in the final two matches and were publicly praised by Portugal U16 head coach António Violante.

May 22

The Portuguese U15 League Committee announced the season awards.

And this time—

Kai's name was everywhere.
