"Damn it!"

Ymir's heart had been pierced by a bullet, yet she didn't die immediately. Instead, the wound began healing rapidly.

The power of the Titans grants their hosts extraordinary vitality and powerful regenerative abilities. Even fatal injuries won't kill them instantly—they recover quickly.

However, transforming into a Titan requires both a clear purpose and an injury inflicted with intent. Accidental damage alone isn't enough to trigger transformation.

Moreover, Naruto was nearby.

Ymir's earlier forced reversion from Titan form had been caused by Naruto suppressing her ability to transform.

After being shot by Kenny Ackerman, Ymir was furious and tried to kill him—but Naruto arrived in time, stopped her, and knocked her unconscious with a single strike.

"You—"

Naruto stepped in front of the heavily injured Kenny Ackerman. His expression was complicated as he asked:

"Why did you do this?"

Naruto already knew about Kenny's sudden appearance at the Survey Corps headquarters and his killings. He had a vague suspicion that it might be related to himself.

He needed to know why.

"Cough… cough…"

Kenny struggled to breathe, coughing weakly before looking at Naruto with a faint smile.

"Don't worry… I didn't do all this because of you."

"It's just something I wanted to do."

"If you've got questions… ask quickly. I probably don't have much time left."

Kenny's injuries were severe. With the medical capabilities of this world, there was no saving him.

The only way to survive would be to obtain Titan power.

But Naruto couldn't grant that power—nor did he know how to transfer it.

After a brief silence, Naruto asked:

"Where is Eren Yeager?"

"…?"

Kenny froze for a moment.

Then, as if realizing something, he smiled faintly.

"I already had him thrown outside the walls—"

Before he could say anything more—

His breathing stopped.

Naruto stood there in silence, staring at Kenny's lifeless body for a long time.

Eventually, he picked him up, found a place to bury him, and laid him to rest.

Then, carrying the unconscious Ymir, he went to find Erwin Smith.

"Commander Erwin."

The moment he arrived, Naruto spoke first:

"If you could change the world… what would you want it to become?"

"Change the world?"

Erwin frowned slightly and fell into thought.

After a while, he shook his head.

"I don't know."

"I don't even fully understand this world yet—so how could I decide what it should become?"

It was a very… Erwin-like answer.

Naruto smiled faintly.

"Then how about we go see the outside world together?"

He agreed with Erwin's reasoning.

How could anyone talk about changing the world without understanding it first?

With the Founding Titan in his possession, matters within the walls were essentially settled.

What remained… was the world beyond.

"Go see the outside world…"

Erwin hesitated briefly, then nodded.

"Alright. I want to understand it too."

"Haha!"

Naruto laughed.

"It might disappoint you."

"Disappointment is inevitable," Erwin replied calmly.

"But that's the world."

Then he looked at Naruto again.

"What about the situation inside the walls?"

Naruto thought for a moment.

"For now—we maintain the status quo."

Erwin nodded in agreement.

Understanding the world first before deciding humanity's future was the most logical course.

"And the Titan shifters?" Erwin asked.

"Bring them with us."

Naruto answered without hesitation.

"Killing them would only complicate things further. It's better to keep them under control."

Whether they were willing or not didn't matter.

If they resisted—the Survey Corps had more than enough means to deal with them.

Erwin didn't fully understand the reasoning, but he didn't object.

Notably, from beginning to end, he never asked Naruto directly about Titan power.

And so—

The two decided to set off on an impromptu journey.

"Section Chief Naruto!"

As Naruto stepped out, Mikasa Ackerman rushed toward him anxiously.

"Where's Eren? Didn't you say you'd bring him back unharmed?"

"…I'm sorry."

Naruto fell silent for a moment before answering.

"He… went outside the walls."

Although Kenny claimed Eren had been sent outside, Naruto knew that was a lie.

Eren had most likely been eaten by him.

But—

He couldn't tell Mikasa that.

Not yet.

"Outside the walls?"

Mikasa froze, then immediately pressed:

"Why would Eren go outside the walls?"

Before Naruto could answer—

She turned and ran.

Heading straight for the outer wall.

"Wait!"

Naruto called out.

After hesitating, he added:

"If you can't find him… come back."

Mikasa stopped briefly.

Her body trembled slightly, as if she understood something.

But she didn't turn around.

Instead—

She ran faster.

Disappearing into the night.

Naruto watched her go, letting out a quiet sigh.

One day—

He would tell her the truth.

But not now.

A few days later—

Naruto, Erwin Smith, Levi, Hange Zoe, and Mike Zacharias departed quietly from Paradis Island.

With them were Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, and Ymir—the Titan shifters.

Their goal:

To understand the world.

At first, the Titan shifters resisted.

They even attempted escape after being released.

But with their powers suppressed by Naruto—and Levi watching them—resistance was futile.

In the end, they had no choice but to cooperate.

Under Levi's "persuasion," they even acted as guides.

Among them, Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie were warriors from Marley, so they were familiar with the outside world.

Ymir, despite being from outside the island, was actually from sixty years ago. Her knowledge was outdated, making her little more than an extra companion.

Initially, Reiner and the others refused to cooperate.

After Levi's "friendly negotiation," they changed their minds quickly.

The world beyond the walls was free of Titans—

But not of war.

The flames of conflict burned everywhere.

Marley, once crushed by the Eldian Empire, had risen again over a century ago.

After seizing several Titan powers, it began expanding aggressively, using Titans as weapons.

Naturally, other nations resisted.

To counter Marley's dominance, many formed the Middle East Allied Forces, launching a prolonged war.

The conflict had continued ever since.

Naruto and the others even visited a battlefield.

What they saw shocked them.

War between humans—

Was far more brutal than battles against Titans.

"So this is war… outside the walls?"

Mike muttered.

"I almost feel like fighting Titans was better."

Everyone silently agreed.

Even Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie.

If given the choice—

They might have preferred life inside the walls.

But as warriors—

They had none.

"Nothing surprising," Erwin said.

"War is a driving force of human civilization. It's unavoidable."

"But Titans are different."

"That power does not belong to humanity."

"It only distorts the natural course of civilization."

It was Erwin's conclusion.

Reiner disagreed.

He believed Titan power was necessary—that if Marley obtained the Founding Titan, it could unify the world and bring peace.

That had been their mission all along.

Levi scoffed at that idea.

"Peace built on oppression won't last."

"Even if Marley wins, new enemies will rise."

Reiner argued back—

And was promptly beaten.

Naruto said nothing.

He simply listened.

But one belief of his never changed:

The power of the Titans should not exist in this world.

Ten years passed.

They traveled across much of the world.

During that time—

Naruto reclaimed the powers of the Beast Titan, Cart Titan, and War Hammer Titan.

Yes—

Reclaimed them.

Unlike Reiner and the others, those hosts were fully indoctrinated and impossible to reason with.

The Beast Titan's host—

Zeke Yeager, Eren's half-brother—

Was among them.

Naruto had seen him in Grisha's memories.

After meeting Naruto, Zeke entered the Coordinate space—and even attempted to command Ymir.

Naruto killed him without hesitation.

The others followed.

Years later, Reiner and Annie also died—

Their lives cut short by the thirteen-year limit.

Only then did everyone truly understand:

Titan power always came at a cost.

"It's time."

Naruto found Erwin again.

"Do you have an answer now?"

Erwin shook his head.

"No."

"My view on Titan power hasn't changed."

"As for the world… I can only try to help Paradis integrate into it."

"Changing it?"

"I don't have that ability."

Naruto burst into laughter.

"I was going to offer to use the Titan power one last time to fulfill your vision."

"Seems that won't be necessary."

"It won't," Erwin replied calmly.

Naruto nodded.

He had expected that answer.

The next day—

Naruto disappeared.

Everyone except Levi seemed to forget he had ever existed.

After leaving—

Naruto found Mikasa.

For ten years, she had searched the world for Eren.

Naruto finally told her the truth.

One day—

The three walls of Paradis Island vanished.

They dissolved into massive pillars of steam rising into the sky—

Like fireworks.

Marking the moment humanity—Finally regained its freedom.
