[3rd POV]
The gift giving had begun. There were quite a few, most of them being from Claire, who wanted to at least attempt at getting somewhere close to what Billie would be giving her. Even after Billie had told her that she did not need to try to get to that level, because it would be hard to get close to a trip to Paris with tens of thousands of dollars worth of other gifts invested.
The first gift that had been given was from Claire. The gift was a pretty neat one, and was a simple and yet beautiful bracelet. It was an expensive gift, which had likely been paid for mostly because Phil makes a lot more money than what one would expect.
The second had been an old record of Marlyn Monroe, and had gotten more of a reaction than the bracelet had, much to the slight embarrassment of Claire, who hadn't realized that the girl had been more interested in vinyls and records than a bracelet that cost a few hundred dollars.
Haley still put the bracelet on either way.
The third of them had been a new jacket, something that she actually needed, as her old one had been falling apart slowly but surely. It fit perfectly, and had been very well made as it was from a reputable brand that Haley had brought up before. It had cost a lot less than the bracelet, and had been taken happily.
There were a few more gifts from Claire and Phil, but they were mostly smaller miscellaneous ones, like a book on magic that Phil had insisted on getting Haley. Probably because of their trip to the Magic shop and her genuine interest in the art and its potential in their shows.
Billie had already bought and read a few of the books, and found that most of them were pretty useless, but there was a few of them that had techniques that were genuinely useful to her. Mostly the ones that explained tricks regarding disappearing from one space and reappearing in another. Or changing clothes with ease and stuff like that.
Both of them would be used, she had decided after reading them over.
Billie was now watching as Haley looked over the gifts that Cam and Mitchell had gotten her. Which was even more vinyls and records, with most of them being on artists that Haley had either never even heard of, or were of songs from popular artists that she knew, that she had never heard of.
She liked it.
"We thought that you might want some variety, you know? Something that you've never heard. Which by the way, is tragic. Because Prince is an absolute legendary figure and the fact that you have not heard any of his music is insane" Cam said to the girl who smiled wryly.
"Sorry Cam, I'm still new to the older music space. The modern stuff is all I really know. Well that and the super popular older artists like Queen and Michael Jackson" Haley responded with a shrug, knowing that she was lacking.
"Haley, Prince is super popular" Mitchell said, making Haley just shrug again, not really knowing what to say to that one.
"Well, either way, thank you for these! I'm honestly just full blown collecting them at this point. Well, collecting them and actually listening to them" Haley replied, happy to have more to add to her growing collection. She had a few dozen at this point, and she hoped to get another few dozen by the end of the next year.
"Now we know what to get her in the future" Cam whispered to his boyfriend who nodded in agreement, already knowing of a few artists that she might be interested in.
Next up was Jay and Gloria. Their gifts were...also pretty interesting, with Jay giving her a few much older records that even got a reaction out of Billie, some of them were damn expensive, and rare.
"...The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" Haley hummed, while Billie was looking it over before turning to Jay with surprised eyes.
"The withdrawn version?" Billie asked the man, genuinely surprised as he nodded.
"Yep. I've got a friend that sells records, and this was one that he told me was a bit of a holy grail for a collector. So I figured I'd get it" Jay replied, as Billie looked back at the record.
"Withdrawn version?" Haley asked, confused.
"It's a version of the album that has four songs on it that were removed from the final release. It's a rare vinyl, like incredibly rare. There's only like 20 of them in existence" Billie explained to her girlfriend, as the others looked over at Jay with equal amounts of surprise.
"I told you they'd be surprised!" Gloria said with a grin, as she had helped the man pick out a gift, and figured that a vinyl like this one would be perfect.
"I-This has to be expensive, right?" Haley said as she put it back down carefully.
"A bit, but it doesn't matter because it's a gift for your eighteenth birthday" Jay responded, not caring about the price, even if it was 20 grand. He made that in like a a day thanks to his business. It was a truly giant business. His net worth was (from Billie's estimate) around 60-75 million.
The dude was rich, even if he didn't show it a ton.
Haley was tempted to ask about the price of the vinyl, but decided to instead move forward and hug Jay while speaking "Thanks grandpa" Haley said, as Jay blinked before smiling and giving her a hug back.
"No problem kid"

After a few more gifts were opened, it was finally time for Billie's, as she handed over the box to Haley who looked at it, confused.
She opened it to find it to be a phone, a smile was on her face.
"Thanks babe" Haley said, not minding that it was a simple gift. She had already been spoiled a lot by her girlfriend. She knew that Billie had spent thousands of dollars on her back in Seattle, so she didn't think she needed anything crazy from her.
"Turn it over" Billie replied with a small smirk on her face, as Haley blinked and turned it over, only to find a small paper stuck to the back of it. Taking the paper off, she flipped it and opened it.
Beginning to read it over, her eyes widened as a gasp echoed from her lips, and she looked up into her girlfriends eyes.
"You didn't!" Haley exclaimed, a loud squeal leaving her as Billie laughed.
"I did. An entire week. Booked all of it after Claire gave me the go ahead" Billie replied with a smile as her girlfriend launched forward and gave her a bone crushing hug, while everyone besides Claire was confused.
"What did mom give you the go ahead for?" Alex asked, looking between the two in confusion.
Billie was about to respond, but Haley beat her to it.
"We're going to Paris!" Haley cheered loudly, showing her the paper as Alex blinked and read it. It was two tickets on a private jet, an expensive one that would be taking them to France.
Alex read it over several times, as the others registered what she had just said, before everyone barring Haley, Billie and Claire, exclaimed the same thing all at the same time. And that was...
"WHAT!?"

Next chapter will be the start of her time in Paris, which will last a few chapters, as it is an important time for their bonding, and showing more of their romance and relationship.
