_______
With Jack
"BOOM!, BOOM!, BOOM!, BOOM!, BOOM!"
The entire mansion shook violently when the clash between Ryu and Francisco reached a terrifying peak. Every wall groaned under the overwhelming force of their battle, the very foundation trembling beneath their blows.
"BOOOOM!"
A thunderous crash erupted as Bege and Jack launched themselves at each other once more, their attacks colliding with explosive force. The impact sent shattered tiles, splintered wood, and chunks of debris flying through the air like a deadly rainstorm.
Neither backed down.
Their fists and weapons clashed again and again in a furious exchange, sparks bursting with every strike as they moved too fast. The hall became a battlefield of pure chaos, with every blow carrying enough power to shake the mansion itself.
Jack gritted his teeth, refusing to give Bege even a single step.
Bege snarled back, matching his opponent's determination as their relentless blows continued to rage on, each man fighting with everything they had.
Jack's sabre came crashing down with enough force to split someone in half, but Bege remained unfazed. In an instant, his arm transformed into a towering castle pillar of reinforced steel.
The blade slammed against the metal with a thunderous CLANK!, sparks bursting into the air as the attack was stopped dead in its tracks.
"Not bad!" Bege grinned arrogantly. "But it'll take a lot more than that to break through this pillar!"
Bege calmly raised his left palm after effortlessly stopping Jack's sabre strike. A metallic rumble echoed from within his palm as a massive gate slowly creaked open across his palm.
The opening widened inch by inch, revealing darkness within his castle-like body. Then, from the depths of the gate, the barrel of a machine gun emerged, locking onto Jack with deadly intent.
"TARARARARARARA!"
"Damn it!"
Jack burst into motion, vanishing in a blur as he dashed to the side. The hail of bullets tore through the air behind him while chunks of rubble crashed down from above.
"Not fast enough!" Bege roared.
Jack weaved through the storm of lead and debris with beast-like agility before sliding behind a nearby stone pillar. Bullets slammed into its surface with a deafening barrage, sending shards of stone flying everywhere as he used the pillar as cover against the relentless gunfire.
Jack's eyes narrowed, a dark shadow creeping over his gaze as his mind raced. In the midst of the chaos, he calmly weighed every possible move, searching for the one path that would lead him to victory.
'Taking this monster head-on is suicide...'
'This freak abilities are far too troublesome. He could store weapons and even entire people within his body, then unleash them without warning. As if that wasn't enough, he could transform parts of himself into a living castle.'
Jack's face darkened as the grim realization sank in.
'If this guy can turn parts of his body into a castle... then I wouldn't be surprised if he could transform whole body into an entire fortress! Damn it... I'm completely outmatched here!'
Jack lowered his gaze to the silver saber in his hand and let out a long sigh. The blade had carried him through countless battles, yet against this monster, even it seemed powerless.
"Only six rounds of my custom-made ammo remain... I can't afford to waste them. Those bullets are my trump card, the last resort I'll save for when all else fails. Until then, I'll have to rely on my grandfather's Sabre..."
Jack tightened his grip around his sabre, his eyes sharpening with resolve.
"I have no choice but to use my grandfather's Sparrow Sword Style!"
Jack cast a hesitant glance at his sabre and let out a long sigh. The weight of the blade in his hand felt heavier than ever as he tightened his grip, his eyes narrowing with determination despite the odds stacked against him.
'My talent with the sword is nothing special... average at best. But through years of relentless training, I managed to master the fundamentals of the Sparrow Sword Style. The problem is... my body hasn't fully caught up. The burden this style places on the legs is immense, and the strength in my lower body still isn't enough to withstand that strain for long.'
Jack clenched his jaw, his eyes narrowing dangerously as a grim determination flashed across his face.
'I've got no choice... if I want to bring down this freak, I'll have to bet everything on the Sparrow Sword Style! Speed is his weakness. Every time he opens one of those gates or turns part of his body into a castle, there's a brief delay. Those few seconds are all I need to strike!'
Jack holstered his pistol in one swift motion and tightened both hands around the hilt of his sabre. His gaze sharpened, determination blazing in his eyes as he lowered his stance, ready to stake everything on his sword.
"SWISH!"
In the next instant, Jack vanished in a blur of speed, leaving only a gust of wind behind. Before Bege could react, Jack appeared right in front of him, sabre already poised to strike!
"What?"
"Sparrow Sword Style Golden Sparrow."
Jack's blade flashed like a streak of silver lightning as he unleashed a blisteringly fast horizontal slash. Caught completely off guard, Bege's eyes widened—he hadn't even seen the strike coming.
"SQUASH!"
"AAAGGHH!"
Bege let out a bloodcurdling scream as Jack's saber carved a deep gash across his chest, blood spraying through the air. But Jack showed no mercy. In the very next instant, he vanished in a blur of speed, his figure flickering around Bege like a phantom as he launched another relentless assault.
"Sparrow Sword Style Multiple Sparrow flight."
"AGGGGHHHH!"
Jack circled Bege like a raging storm. His sabre flashed relentlessly, carving through the air with razor-sharp precision. Before Bege could react, crimson slashes erupted across his body one after another, each strike landing faster than the last as Jack unleashed a relentless barrage from every direction.
Jack skidded to a halt right in front of Bege, his pistol already leveled at the mafia's face. The sudden turn of events made Bege's eyes widen in shock.
"W-Wait—!!" Bege shouted, his voice echoing through the crumbling mansion.
"BANG!"
Jack pulled the trigger, and his customized bullet streaked through the air like a blazing comet.
"BOOM!"
A fiery explosion of orange and crimson erupted through the hall, shaking the entire mansion. Flames and smoke billowed outward as the deafening blast echoed through the corridors.
"BAAM!"
"COUGH!"
Bege's body was sent flying like a cannonball, his back crashing violently into a nearby pillar. The impact shook the entire corridor as he coughed up a spray of blood, his eyes widening in shock. Before he could recover, his strength gave out and he collapsed forward, slamming face-first onto the ground with a heavy thud.
At that very moment, chunks of rubble rained down from the shattered ceiling above.
"CRASH! CRUMBLE!"
Massive stones slammed into him one after another, striking his head before a mountain of debris buried him completely beneath the wreckage. A thick cloud of dust erupted through the hall as his figure vanished under the fallen ruins.
Jack let out a long sigh of relief as he stared at the heap of shattered rubble. Beneath the debris, Bege lay completely motionless.
"Looks like it's finally over..."
Lowering his guard, Jack slid his sabre back into its sheath with a sharp click. He then holstered his pistol, his tense shoulders easing for the first time since the battle began.
Turning his back on the chaos, Jack calmly strode toward the silver door. His boots echoed across the battered hall as dust and rubble continued to rain from the shattered ceiling. Without a hint of hesitation, he marched forward, as his coat fluttering behind him.
"That was too close..." Jack muttered under his breath, wiping the sweat from his brow.
"I only managed to take him down because I caught him off guard. If that fight had dragged on any longer, I would've been the one in trouble."
His gaze shifted to his trembling legs as a sharp ache ran through his lower body.
"The Sparrow Sword Style is far too taxing. Every burst of speed puts tremendous strain on my legs and core. My body still isn't strong enough to fully withstand this style. If I keep forcing it, I'll end up crippling myself before I ever defeat my foes."
________
Inside Capone Family storage room
The moment Jack stepped into the storage room, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Mountains of gold coins, glittering jewels, and priceless treasures filled every corner, shining so brightly that the entire chamber seemed bathed in golden light.
For a second, he stood frozen.
Then he threw his head back and burst into wild laughter.
"BOHOHOHOHO!"
His laughter erupted throughout the room, echoing off the walls like the crazed roar of a man who had just discovered the greatest treasure the world had to offer. His eyes gleamed with wild excitement and greed as his maniacal cackle filled the air.
Jack's eyes suddenly caught sight of something tucked away in the corner of the room. Four old wooden boxes sat covered in dust, and beside them rested two weathered pistols and a worn-out revolver. His gaze narrowed with curiosity as he slowly stepped closer to them.
Jack picked up the two pistols from the wooden crate. The moment he gripped them, his eyes widened slightly. Despite their old appearance, the weapons felt perfectly balanced in his hands, almost as if they had been crafted specifically for him.
He turned the pistols over, carefully examining every detail, the worn metal, the craftsmanship, and the weight of the barrels, before narrowing his eyes and muttering,
"These babies... they're old, but the balance is incredible. Whoever made them knew exactly what they were doing."
"It hasn't seen action in years, but that's no concern for me. I'll restore them easily, I just replace the worn-out parts, give them a proper cleaning, and they'll be as good as new."
Jack then reached out and grabbed the revolver, carefully inspecting every inch of the weapon. After checking its condition and feeling its balance in his hand, he gave a small nod of satisfaction, and faint grin appearing on his face.
"Same goes for this old revolver," Jack muttered, turning the weapon over in his hands and inspecting every inch of it. "It'll need some new parts and a proper cleaning before it can roar again."
Jack slowly opened the four wooden boxes one after another, the creaking sound echoing through the room. But the moment the lids were lifted, his eyes widened in disbelief. Inside each box rested a strange, uniquely patterned fruit—the unmistakable treasures of the sea, the devil fruits.
"Devil Fruits…?" Jack muttered, his expression shifting from surprise to shock as he stared at the mysterious fruits hidden before him.
Jack's face split into a wide, excited grin as he threw his head back and burst into roaring laughter, his voice echoing through the surroundings with wild and carefree energy.
"BOHOHOHOHO! I hit the Jackpot."
Jack's eyes locked onto the four Devil Fruits resting before him. Each one carried a strange appearance.
The first Devil Fruit was a strange looking gray pear-shaped fruit, its surface covered in countless swirling patterns that twisted around it like a storm trapped beneath the skin. Even more bizarre were the dark chain-like markings fused into the fruit, wrapping around it as if the Devil Fruit itself had been bound by some ancient curse.
The next Devil Fruit immediately captured Jack's attention. His eyes widened as he stared at the bizarre fruit before him. Unlike any devil fruit he had ever seen, its unnatural shape made it appear as though two separate Devil Fruits had been forcibly fused into one.
Its entire surface was covered in strange, twisting swirls that wrapped around the fruit like a mysterious pattern carved by nature itself. The strange design seemed almost alive, making the fruit look like a treasure that should never have existed.
The lower half was colored a deep, ocean-like dark blue, while the upper half burned with a fierce blood-crimson hue, giving the fruit an ominous appearance.
The third Devil Fruit was a deep indigo fruit shaped like a miniature storm cloud, its surface covered in countless silver swirling patterns that twisted like raging lightning bolts trapped inside the skin. The strange markings seemed to shimmer faintly, almost as if the fruit itself was carrying the power of a thunderstorm.
At the top of the fruit, the stem was no ordinary branch, it was twisted and sharpened into the shape of a tiny lightning, giving the Devil Fruit an intimidating and dangerous appearance.
The final Devil Fruit was a sight to behold, a crimson-red fruit covered in fierce, flame shaped swirls that twisted across its surface like living fire. Its stem curled upward like a blazing inferno, resembling a flame frozen in place. Running across the fruit were glowing orange vein like patterns, pulsing as if it was alive that made the entire fruit seem as if it was burning from within. Its strange and powerful appearance gave off the feeling of unstoppable destruction.
Jack shut the wooden boxes with a wide, satisfied grin spreading across his face. Without wasting another second, he began sweeping up every piece of treasure scattered throughout the room, stuffing away the riches with the excitement of a pirate who had just struck the jackpot. His eyes gleamed with triumph as he refused to leave even a single coin behind.
With every treasure secured, Jack hoisted the heavy bag onto his back and adjusted the straps over his shoulder. A sly shrewd smirk crept across his face as he turned away from the room. Without a hint of hesitation, he stepped through the doorway and vanished into the darkness, leaving behind nothing but an empty chamber and the echo of his footsteps.
"Well then... looks like it's time for me to step in and back up the kid!" Jack flashed a confident grin, turning toward the battlefield. "I'd better hurry, Francisco is no pushover. He's a tough foe!"
He tightened his grip and dashed forward without hesitation. "Hang on, kid! I'm on my way!"
Jack burst into motion, sprinting through the collapsing hall as chunks of rubble rained down from the shattered ceiling. With sharp reflexes, he weaved and dodged between the falling debris, his eyes scanning through the chaos.
"Ryu… where are you?!" he shouted, pushing forward without slowing down as he searched desperately for Ryu. The ruins around him shook violently, but Jack kept running, determined to find Ryu before it was too late.
