The Devil God's Schemes
Far beyond the mortal world…
Beyond the Celestial Realm…
In a distant, silent void where light itself struggled to exist, a figure stood calmly in the darkness.
Nem.
His expression carried a quiet satisfaction as his fingers moved slowly through the air, tracing invisible patterns that shimmered faintly with dark energy. The symbols faded almost as quickly as they appeared, dissolving into the surrounding emptiness.
Beside him, a towering presence stirred.
The evil god.
A low, cruel chuckle echoed through the void, vibrating through the darkness like the sound of distant thunder.
Nem smiled faintly.
"Xiao Yan has regained his memories," he said.
A gleam of malice flickered in his eyes.
The evil god tilted his head slightly.
"And what will you do now?"
Nem's smile widened.
"He can't act rashly," he replied calmly. "He killed his own father."
The words carried a deep satisfaction.
"The only one who could stop us," Nem continued.
He folded his hands behind his back.
"It's only a matter of time before his death."
The void swallowed the sound of his voice as the two figures continued their quiet plotting in the darkness.
Meanwhile—
Back in the Sect.
Mi-An moved quickly through the courtyard, her footsteps hurried, her breathing uneven. Snow crunched beneath her feet as she searched anxiously for someone.
At last she found her.
"Di'or!"
She turned towards her.
Concern crossed her face immediately.
"Mi-An, what's wrong with you?" she asked softly. "Were you crying?"
Mi-An hesitated only a moment.
"It's a long story," she whispered.
Urgency filled her voice.
But before she could continue—
A presence appeared.
Suddenly.
Like a shadow cast across the land.
Nem.
His arrival carried an oppressive force that made the air itself feel heavier.
"Di'or," he called.
His voice echoed across the courtyard with quiet authority.
Di'or's eyes hardened instantly.
Anger flashed across his face as he stepped forward toward Nem.
But Mi-An moved quickly and blocked his path.
"Di'or! Don't go to him!" she cried.
Her voice trembled with urgency.
"He is evil!"
Di'or stared at her in confusion.
"What are you talking about?"
Mi-An's chest rose sharply as she struggled to force the truth out.
"He's the one responsible for Xiao Yan's sorrow!" she shouted.
Desperation filled every word.
But before Di'or could respond—
Nem moved.
A violent surge of lightning burst from his hand.
The attack struck Mi-An directly.
She was thrown across the courtyard, crashing onto the ground as blood spilled from her lips.
Her vision blurred.
By the time she looked up—
Nem was already gone.
And Di'or with him.
The world twisted around them.
Darkness swallowed the air as a massive portal opened, pulling them into another realm entirely.
When the ground stabilized again, Mi-An looked around in shock.
The sky was dark.
The land stretched endlessly with jagged mountains and rivers of crimson fire.
The Demon Realm.
A vast and terrifying world.
Her voice trembled.
"Where… where is this?"
Nem turned slowly toward her.
A sinister grin spread across his face.
"Welcome home."
Mi-An stared at him.
"You… you're a demon?" she stammered.
Nem's smile deepened.
"Yes."
His voice was calm.
"I am the devil god."
He paused.
"And the demon king."
Mi-An's mind raced as the truth struck her.
"Then… the Ansha…"
Her voice shook.
"The Ansha isn't a demon?"
Nem tilted his head slightly.
"No."
His eyes gleamed with satisfaction.
"He is Xiao Yan's father."
Mi-An's heart dropped.
"What?!" she gasped.
Her voice trembled with horror.
"You made Xiao Yan kill his father?"
Nem's smile did not fade.
Instead, he turned away slightly.
"Di'or," he said casually. "Don't let us talk about this."
But Di'or stood frozen.
The weight of everything he had just heard crushed against his heart.
"I can't…" Di'or said quietly.
His voice trembled.
"I can't stay with you."
Nem's expression faltered for the first time.
"I thought you loved me," he said.
His voice was raw, stripped of its usual calm.
"All my life… you were the only one I ever loved."
He stepped forward slightly.
"Don't leave me."
But Di'or slowly stepped back.
Pain filled his eyes.
"I'm sorry."
His voice was barely steady.
"I can't stay with someone like you."
The distance between them widened.
Mi-An stood silently nearby, her chest aching as the full weight of betrayal settled over the moment.
Love.
Deception.
War.
All tangled together in a web of darkness.
And far away—
Xiao Yan still grieved.
Unaware that the true enemy had finally revealed himself.
