Chapter 47 - Chapter 47

Third and Fourth raced toward the enemy from different sides, encircling him. Izao saw all their maneuvers clearly and realized they were just Genin. He calmed a bit, planning to deal with them—deep down amazed that one of these worthless Genin could form a B-rank level technique.

A few seconds later, Ichiro closed the distance with Izao and engaged him in hand-to-hand combat. Izao was shocked when he saw his opponent's eyes, and after another exchange of blows, he leaped back and shouted:

" weren't all the Uchiha wiped out? Who are you?!"

Ichiro didn't respond and charged back into the fight, masterfully parrying all the enemy's strikes while landing his own. The opponent's speed didn't allow him even a fraction of a second to concentrate for a "spatial strike," so he kept searching for patterns in the enemy's movements, trying to find a gap in his defense.

The Third and Fourth arrived ten seconds after the fight began and started helping their brother. But their speed wasn't anything remarkable for Izao, so after a few exchanges of blows, he sent both flying, throwing kunai with attached explosive seals after them.

An explosion rang out, and an invisible barrier flickered around the two brothers, barely absorbing 90% of the explosive energy while distributing the remaining 10% evenly across their bodies, boosting their flight. A few seconds later, the two brothers crashed into a large rock and coughed heavily, coming to their senses.

Ichiro didn't waste time, and the moment Izao sent his two brothers flying, he instantly attacked with a kunai using space, aiming for the heart. But to his regret, Izao dodged at the last moment, and the kunai grazed him, slicing open his pectoral muscle.

At that very moment, on Kenshin's command, the Fifth and Sixth threw shuriken aimed at the enemy's legs, and both shuriken sank deep into Izao's calves, making him cry out in pain.

Kenshin immediately ordered Ichiro to retreat, not wanting to put his son in danger from the actions of a berserk shinobi ready to trade his life. He commanded the recovered Third and Fourth to attack the enemy with Katon, and the two sons obeyed, jumping to the sides and shouting:

"Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" Fifty-centimeter fireballs appeared in front of the two brothers and flew toward the enemy.

Izao panicked hard, knowing he couldn't dodge with his wounded legs, and at the last moment formed several seals, shouting:

"Doton: Shoheki!" After the words, two twenty-centimeter-thick stone slabs rose on either side of him. Izao used almost all his chakra for defense, clinging to his last chance, realizing surviving the night would be incredibly difficult.

The two fireballs smashed into the stone slabs at full speed, shattering them in half and destroying themselves. Izao, standing on both sides of the slabs, was buried under multiple debris but still alive. But Ichiro intended to fix that.

"Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" He shouted from a sheer cliff thirty meters above Izao. He poured almost all his chakra into this fireball, which grew to a meter in diameter, then plummeted down.

Kenshin, perched on a nearby tree, expected Izao to make one last incredible attempt to survive, but it never happened. The massive fireball crashed into the pile of stone debris at full speed, instantly roasting the hapless rogue shinobi alive.

Once his death was confirmed, everyone sighed in relief and headed home, collapsing exhausted into their beds.

The entire 147th day, Kenshin and his sons dealt with the aftermath of the intruders' attack. They reseeded the potato field, harvested blue sage and planted new, reset a bunch of damaged snares, and of course disposed of the two rogue shinobi corpses.

To Kenshin's deepest regret, nothing on the corpses could clarify the situation—even the metal coins were melted and fused into the charred flesh, depriving the Nakayama family of any ideas to dig deeper.

Aya and Natsumi also wanted to help, but due to their late pregnancy terms, Kenshin forbade them from getting involved, just kissing each on the lips and stroking their big bellies.

He had a lot of work and new plans that emerged after crushing the intruders. He planned to rebuild the main formation along the entire perimeter so even random Chunin couldn't wander onto his territory. As for Jonin, he wasn't sure, since he'd never met one, but after encountering two Chunin last night, he knew his knowledge would let him stand against shinobi of that level.

So Kenshin dove headfirst into work, deciding first to draw a small prototype of the needed formation, then install it along the entire perimeter at a rapid pace. At his current knowledge level, accelerated formation application was available, so the work shouldn't take more than three days.

For several days, everyone was busy with their tasks, with no time for long rests.

Ichiro, the Third, and the Fourth continued joint training, improving coordination. The two younger brothers lacked skills, but Ichiro diligently brought them up to his level, so using telepathy's advantage, they could defeat stronger opponents without much loss.

By then, the Fifth and Sixth had mastered all hand seals and were gradually learning the fireball. Ichiro himself had been practicing "Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu" for over a week and soon planned to master this useful technique that released multiple small fireballs, leaving the enemy no chance to dodge.

On the 150th day, Kenshin finally finished upgrading the main formation, just as the Seventh and Eighth fully matured. He heartily congratulated them on coming of age, delivered a fiery motivational speech to spur them to training, and sent them to the gym for their first session with him.

Even without close-combat skills, the Seventh and Eighth fought their father on equal terms and even pressed him a bit. They could take more hits without consequences and fight longer than Kenshin. In turn, their father had solid skills but tired faster, becoming combat-ineffective after a few hits.

After training, the exhausted Kenshin handed the two youngest to Ichiro's command and headed to the swimming pool to relax his overstrained muscles. His two wives lounged in the pool and joyfully pressed against him from both sides.

Swimming appealed to the girls during pregnancy, so in late terms, the pool was their main pastime.

Kenshin immediately hugged their waists, sliding his palms a bit lower to enjoy their tender asses, inwardly lamenting the impossibility of "fun" in late pregnancy. He knew it was possible, but for some reason, it felt off to fuck when the fetus was fully formed.
