Storm covered his eyes with a clawed hand as the glow from his opponents intensified.
Once it died down, all the spectators of the fight gasped at once.
Storm's humanoid dragon form remained mostly unaltered despite his dragon form changing, although the new addition was a second copy that looked identical to the humanoid dragon form his shadow usually took.
Unlike before however, he could see, feel and control both bodies at once.
This would have no doubt been confusing for everyone else, but after he and his shadow had merged, his reflexes and processing power had greatly increased.
It was almost like having a second brain running alongside his own, and this helped him to use both bodies simultaneously.
This wasn't the thing that took people's breath away however.
Both his opponents had taken forms that mimicked his own.
Orian was a radiant golden scaled dragon-man standing on two legs with large feathered wings.
He was less muscular than his father with a leaner build, looking more like an agile duelist, than a muscle bound bruiser
His mane of golden hair extended all the way past his back and almost reached his knees the hair was raised and almost seemed to be moving on their own as if wind was flowing through it, even though there currently was no wind.
A long tail extended from behind him and a line of spikes ran down it until 3 quarters of the length, where the spikes ended, a strip of hair began that was similar to his mane hair and flowed down the remainder of his tail until reaching the tip.
In his hand was a two handed golden greatsword with a blade that almost seemed like it was made from light.
His only articles of clothing was two bronze bracers on his arms, and a leather loincloth with matching thigh guards.
His friend on the other hand had a more broad muscular build, even more so than even Storm.
His entire body was encased in the same plate like steel scales much like his true form, except for those around the front of his snout and nose, which had a red tint as if the scales had rusted.
His 2 large wings was encased in smaller sharp scales that Storm knew from personal experience could be fired like the barbs of a manticore at will, and that they regenerated very quickly once fired.
His mane of ice blue hair was shorter than Orian's and ended at his shoulders just above his wings. A line of ice blue spikes extended from the base to the tip of his long, bladed tail.
Like Orian, his muscular chest was completely bare and his only clothing was a loincloth and spiked bracers. He lacked Orian's thigh guards however and instead the scales on his shins and knees were larger than his other scales and formed something similar to shin guards that would protect his feet.
In his clawed hands was a large, spiked warhammer, and floating behind his back were several different ethereal weapons.
2 different types of swords, a one handed battleaxe, a spear, and a halberd floated behind him. The weapons were all incorporeal, as if Storm was looking at a memory or an 'idea' of the weapon, not a true weapon.
Storm took a combat ready stance, seeing this, Orian planted his sword upright into the ground while Chrome dropped his hammer on it's head.
Both dragons stepped forward and mimicked Storm own stance.
The spectators were in awe. They had seen Storm's humanoid form, but no dragon had been able to take a similar shape.
Not his siblings, not his Uncle, not even his mate had been able to replicate the feat, so to see not one but two unknown dragons suddenly displaying the same abilities as their leader was unheard of.
Orian suddenly blurred and he appeared in front of Storm, causing him to flinch in response.
Orian swung his tail in the hopes of tripping his father, but he saw it coming and jumped over the limb as it swung past.
His body double tried to assist but two steel scales fired from Chrome stopped him in his tracks and forced him to engage with him.
Storm tried to deliver a roundhouse kick to his son's face, but his form blurred again before reappearing beside Storm.
He punched his father in the side and knocked the breath out of him, opening his mouth, he fired another beam breath at his father at point blank range.
Sending him colliding back first to the arena wall, drawing several excited cheers from the crowd.
Meanwhile Chrome and the Shadow were
exchanging blows, until Chrome caught both of the shadow's arms.
Pulling back his head, The shadow tries to headbutt Chrome, but the clanging sound like a hammer striking steel rang across the arena and the shadow reeled back from the impact.
Chrome on the other hand seemed completely unfazed and hadn't moved an inch.
Storm studied Orian's blinking fast movements and immediately realized what his secret was.
Lumomancy had an advanced technique that wasn't well known in the world, light moved at an extremely fast pace.
By infusing one's body with it, one's able to accelerate their own body to such an extent that time almost seemed to stand still for the caster.
To everyone else however, the Lumomancer moved so fast that he almost seemed to teleport between points.
Using this technique repeatedly however was dangerous for a body as the mortal form was never meant to move at such a rate.
Mimereus was the first to invent this technique, who in turn passed it on to Storm. Now it seems like his son had stumbled upon this technique as well.
Although considering the fact that he is meant to be Mimereus reborn, this shouldn't have surprised Storm that much.
Orian was overconfident now because he had caught his father out a couple of times, but that confidence would be his undoing.
As Orian used the ability again, Storm sped up his own body and Orian slowed down to a point that Storm could follow his movements.
He made no moves in order to fool Orian into thinking he couldn't defend himself, then at the last minute before Orian's punch landed, Storm raised a hand and caught the incoming fist.
Orian looked at his father in shock as he realized he had been deceived.
"Game Over, son!" Whispered Storm.
Striking Orian underneath his chin, he sent him flying into the air, and using a combination of shadow jumping and Lumomancy, struck Orian with a flying kick to the chest, shadow jumped behind him and sent him flying in the opposite direction with another strike , before finishing him by appearing above him and striking him into the ground.
Now that he had an opening, Storm threw a lightning bolt at Chrome's exposed back and as he was stunned by the lightning, his shadow double delivered a strike that sent him flying towards Orian.
Both his double and Storm channeled lightning and bathed his opponents in it from opposite sides.
Their muscles spasmed from the shock, but as Storm had no intention of killing his child and his friend, he toned back the charge enough that it would only stun them.
They both collapsed on their knees simultaneously.
"Do you submit?" Asked Storm.
Orian tried to rise to his feet, but a spasm forced him back to his knee again.
He looked desperately at Chrome who shook his head sadly.
"We submit" whispered Orian.
Causing the crowd to go wild in response.
